BehrenSCHLAF vacation home Stay in the thatched farmhouse and discover nature and the countryside well rested. Built around 1780 as a smoking house, the farmhouse is protected under historic preservation and has been lovingly maintained. You will stay in our cozy apartment with a terrace to the south side and views of our garden. Not far from Lake Ratzeburger in a village location, surrounded by fields and nearby forest, the apartment (90 m²) with private entrance can accommodate up to 4 people. The bright rooms are inviting, south terrace (60 m²) with table, chairs and loungers as well as a small garden complete the offer. Bed dimensions (cm) 180 x 200 and 160 x 200. Unsere Gemeinde ist ein „Ruhiges Gebiet“ nach § 47d Bundesimmissionsschutzgesetz, d.h. es gibt keinen Verkehrs-, Industrie-, Gewerbe- und Freizeitlärm. Hier ist es wirklich ruhig!

In the middle of the forest, on a clearing, 3 km from the beautiful town of Gartow, lies our special retreat. If you are looking for peace and quiet in nature and value simplicity and goodness, this is the place. The old half-timbered building, a former stable, was renovated with high quality and sustainably with natural materials. Clay plaster on the walls and the wood-burning stove guarantee an excellent indoor climate, and the walk to the wood-fired sauna promises absolute relaxation!

On an original farm, we have lovingly created a vacation home to dream of. If you are looking for peace and relaxation, this is the place to be! A large garden invites you to linger. In the evening you can sit comfortably by the fire or read a book on the comfortable couch with a glass of wine. From Groß Markow you can explore the surroundings by bike or by car. The place lies between Lake Kummerow and Lake Teterow. The Baltic Sea can be reached in just an hour.

During your stay with us you will live in a lovingly restored, spacious construction trailer with terrace and garden area. It is also set up for long stays. In winter, it is heated with wood and briquettes and it quickly becomes cozy and warm. Running cold water is only available in the trailer during the frost-free period! Horses can be brought along, 1 hectare. coupling directly on the trailer. The bathroom area and sauna are 50 m from the main house.

Lovingly converted workshop in former stable building

The apartment is located in a 100-year-old barn of an idyllic village of 26 inhabitants surrounded by (almost) unspoiled nature on the edge of the Lüneburg Heath. It's an area without superlatives. Everything is very normal without major attractions. But this is exactly what we really appreciate about this area. Lots of nature, wide views and little distraction. It is a place where you can come to rest and draw strength.
