Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Lake Taupo

Very nice house, well-equipped. Comfortable bedding. We enjoyed our stay and especially having breakfast with the family on the terrace overlooking a large wooded garden.

This is one of the best hosts I’ve ever met. We encountered a tricky situation, and the host set off from Auckland at 1 AM to help us. This was my parents’ first trip to New Zealand, and the experience left them with a great impression and deep gratitude. I highly recommend this place—you’ll get an amazing house with convenient access to many attractions.

The house was great. The kitchen was excellent and had all the required utensils. The bedrooms were great and spacious. The backyard was great for soccer! Overall, a great stay, and great value for money.

We had a lovely stay with two couples and a child. it was cosy and the kitchen had everything we needed. there were good heating appliances too and the photos matched the description well. it was good value and would happily recommend to others. thanks Deborah!

We had a lovely stay at Nadine’s place in Kinloch. We were a family of 6 plus 1 toddler and there was plenty of space for us all. The house was very clean and the kitchen was well equipped. We particularly enjoyed borrowing Nadine’s kayaks and exploring lake Taupo. If you are looking for somewhere quiet and beautiful - Kinloch is a gem

Despite an initial hiccup, we had a fantastic time at Tracy and Damien’s home. Tracy was very responsive and helpful. We loved our stay and will hopefully return to stay here again!

Great place with a good feel to it. Beautiful gardens. Perfect location for a few days fishing on the Tongariro river just 50m away. The outstanding Hare & Copper Eatery is just round the corner for dinner. Beds and bedding were all super comfortable. Would definitely book again. Thank you Jocelyn for being an excellent host.

We had a great stay at Emily’s place! Very well equipped for our family and great location close to town and the lake, with a playground a short walk down the road too :)

We had such memorable stay at Mary’s. Easy to find and so close to the lake. Beautifully decorated and so comfortable if felt like home. Mary gave us some great tips for local attractions and left us extra special treats just to make us feel welcome! Could not recommend highly enough.

Marie’s place was beautiful, lovely view, homely feel to the place, everything within need and check in was very easy, would recommend and definitely will be back

I had a great stay at Peter and Melanie's place. It was clean, spacious and private. Peter and Melanie were very kind and responsive. They had great recommendations for things to do in the area. I highly recommend staying here!

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful home ….. our hosts Marki and Chris were just wonderful and everything about the space and the surroundings was top notch. The furnishings, decor, attention to detail, lovely treats and overall vibe of the home was very special …. Walking distance to the most beautiful little bay, surrounded by nature was awesome. Would thoroughly recommend!!!

The house was very comfortable. Good equal sized bedrooms, heating throughout. Seperate bathroom per bedroom felt nice. Communal space was very comfortable. And the house was sparklingly clean!! Easy walk to the cafes , lake etc. Thank you it was a lovely place to stay even on a rainy day !

Great host, very kind and patient. No downsides at all. Place has little extras like coffee pods etc ; owners definitely put great effort into making you at home.

Great location very close to lakefront . Lovely view from apartment and spacious inside . Comfortable, well equipped and cozy. The mineral thermal pool was a novelty and very nice on a cold night after mountain biking .

Great place just a short drive out of Taupō central. Everything was great very clean and tidy. Night one was better with no one upstairs as night 2 was a little noisy.

A wonderful place to stay. The apartment was very nice and had everything we needed for a comfortable 2 night stay. Rick was amazing to deal with and very quick and clear communication. We'll definitely return soon.

My partner and I really enjoyed staying here. A beautiful, clean space in the center of town —not far from the lake. Spacious and came with all the amenities and details that you look and hope for. Would recommend staying here!

Walking distance to restaurants, and they will be building a Woolworths nearby soon. Was so peaceful watching the river flow by from the balcony.
