Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Lake Superior

Crystal was an absolutely Stellar Hostess and I would have no problem whatsoever giving her the highest recommendation for Airbnb we have stayed with her for quite some time and anyone who is able to have her as a hostess is very lucky

A great place just on the edge of town. Easy to ride bike to trails and bars. Cool small fire pit out back and a large living room, kitchen, dining area. We easily gathered and played cards, cooked, watched TV together.

Steven’s house was great for a weekend away. So peaceful. Enjoyed the local atmosphere and scenic views.

Beautiful place to stay, did a boys trip up north and had a fantastic time. Hot tub was so nice and everything inside looked really nice and was comfortable. Would stay again!

If you're planning a trip to Ironwood, Michelle and her place are fantastic! The house is clean and cozy, we were greeted with a bottle of Italian wine and a baggie of dog treats for our pup, and if you'll be cooking, the kitchen is very well stocked. The sauna was a nice treat at the end of a long day of waterfall hiking, and the location was very convenient for skiing, hiking, and visiting Joe's Pasty Shop! Michelle went above and beyond to ensure a great stay--when we had to delay our trip by a day due to driving conditions, she offered to extend our booking (unfortunately, we weren't able to take her up on this generous offer, but the gesture was greatly appreciated). Fantastic communication, thoughtful details (flip-flops for the sauna, a "just in case" drawer in the bathroom that includes contact solution, toothbrushes, etc.), and a cozy place made our first trip to Ironwood a great experience!

We enjoyed our stay at Iver’s place very much! The house was very clean and we were so impressed with all the little extras. We took full advantage of the sauna, games, and guide books. This would be such an awesome spot in the summer with the wonderful patio and access to the fire pit. Also, it was a big plus that our dog could join us!

Overall, I give Bob and Linda’s lodge 5/5. It was exactly what I was looking for: an authentic off-grid UP experience. It’s clean and homey, and Bob and Linda are top notch hosts, going out of their way to make your stay a good one. If you’re looking for a great off-grid experience, this is it. However, it may not be for everyone. For example, we visited in October, and we had to heat the lodge through fireplaces as there is no central heating. I personally enjoyed that but can imagine others not wanting to deal with it. The lodge has an open concept floor plan, and I recommend guests consider sleeping arrangements carefully. While there are a ton of beds, there are few doors, and most sleeping areas don’t have one. So it may not be the best if you have people going to bed or waking up at different times.

We absolutely loved our stay here!! The house was spotless and felt very clean! The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to make meals. We used the jet tub every day, but take note that it takes about an hour and a half to fill up! And I had forgotten my shampoo/conditioner at home and realized too late that there was nothing at the house. So make sure to pack your own! Overall, it was the perfect place to escape with my family! A quiet, cozy getaway. We would definitely stay here again. Our kids were already asking when we’re coming back as we pulled out of the driveway:)

The apartment was comfortable and clean, would definitely recommend. My two small kids fit on the sofa bed, but it is a very small one!

Wendy was a great and welcoming host. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend staying there anytime.

I can’t recommend Bridget’s place enough! My family and I came up to st ignace for a UP get away weekend and this was the perfect way to spend time together in the evening while also having privacy. The location is walking distance to Sheplers which was so convenient for getting to Mackinac island. The space itself is roomy, clean and gives you a beautiful view of Lake Huron. Bridget is also a prompt, clear and thoughtful host. If we ever get the chance, we will absolutely be staying with Bridget again in the future!

Cute place! We enjoyed the outdoor area, grill, fire pit, etc. All went well and it was nice to have amenities available to us. Would stay again, if coming back to the area.

I enjoyed my 5 nights stay at Lois’s place. She is very helpful , welcoming, sincere,understanding and accommodating. I had no regret staying at this home. Everywhere was spotless and tidy. This was my second stay at Michelle’s and I can confidently say I look forward to my next stay! This Airbnb is cozy, clean and has all of the amenities you’ll need. Michelle was very respectful, responsive and helpful. Thank you again, Michelle!

Robert was a fantastic host. The place was very cozy and peaceful and was everything needed for a wonderful getaway from the rustle and bustle of everyday life. To top it off, my girlfriend and I got ourselves stuck and he helped dig and push our car put and was even willing to help tow us out if it came to that. He went above and beyond anything I’d expect from a host. And I highly recommend staying at one of his locations if you want a great place to stay and a host who has your back. We’ll definitely be back!

It's in the basement. But still a great place for the nature lovers. Saw the duck family at the creek and a couple of deers on the other side of the creek. Comfortable furniture. Well equipped kitchen. Wish the windows were a little bit lower to enjoy the view.

This place is a hidden gem! Perfect place to relax and unwind. The lake and house is beautiful. Dan is very responsive. The cabin is so cozy and cute! Perfect location

Most immaculate place I’ve ever stayed. Spotless. There were 5+ deer directly out the windows during our entire stay. What a bonus! Coffee pot. Not a Keurig. Bring your own grounds. Kitchen is super stocked for cooking and eating. Some spices in cupboards. This place is SO private. No one around as far as the eye can see. Shagawa Lake is slightly visible from the upstairs, mostly if you’re sitting up in bed. Mattress is super, ultra soft. Not my style, but maybe someone else’s. Comfortably accommodates 2 people. 4 would be pushing it. No lock on bathroom door. We watched the sunrises and the sunsets. We enjoyed our stay immensely and hope to return soon.

My girlfriend and I loved the little cabin, it was a perfect location with lots to do just minutes away!

My boyfriend and our three teenage boys stayed at the cabin for 5 days and never ran out of things to do. Although the weather was anything but great when we got there, we definitely made the most of our trip. Everyone LOVED the pool table. I am from the UP so it felt like home for me and loved being able to go find a hot pasty at the grocery store ! It was so peaceful and barely any traffic, we would go out in the road at night and look at the stars. Very peaceful and relaxing. Can't wait to enjoy it again when the weather is nicer! The kids also had a grand time exploring the woods behind the house!

This was our 4th annual winter getaway to the cabin. We always enjoys the serenity of the cozy cabin and it's lake front views, which makes it perfect for ice fishing. After a day on the ice, we warm up in the sauna or by the fire, work on puzzles and enjoy home cooked meals in the fully equipped kitchen.

Tammie's cabin was the perfect getaway for my birthday! It was very peaceful and relaxing. The cabin had everything I needed. The coffee bar was a huge plus for me. I enjoyed watching all of the squirrels, birds and deer right out the back window. I loved reading by the fire and casting a few lines in the river. I would love to come back in the summer to explore more of the area! Thanks so much again!!

Perfect for a winter getaway! Snowy trails on site made for great cross country skiing and snow shoeing. Fireplace perfect for relaxing after long day on the trails.
