Holiday rentals with breakfast in Lake Superior

Absolutely loved our stay! The Airbnb was amazing clean, cozy, and in a perfect location. The host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and everything was exactly as described (if not better!). We had such a great experience that we’re already planning our return trip. Highly recommend!

Absolutely gorgeous location and super clean home! Well stocked with basics and comfortable inside and out. Many chairs to choose from outside. Bug spray and umbrellas available. We loved sitting on the deck by the lake when the weather was nice. Incredibly peaceful! We heard loons, geese and that's about it. No traffic/train sounds - very quiet! Loved it! Beds/pillows/towels were comfy, as was the sofa. Monica left us a package of pancake mix and everything we needed to make it. So thoughtful and delicious! Couple things to mention - bring slippers the floors are cold and there are no rugs. Also, there is no tv, but there are some dvds in a cabinet for when there is inclimate weather. We were able to get online more than half the time. (T-Mobile). The bathtub is a tall soaker, but a bit harder to get into and very slippery on the bottom. There is nowhere to eat/buy groceries nearby. The closest ones we found were in Thunder Bay 45 min up the road. A very nice place!

Cute house with lots of space. We were within walking distance to a few places to eat and within a short drive to lots more (food and activities). PLENTY of street parking in a quiet and safe neighborhood. (Police station i literally next door!) Would go here again and recommend to others. ** Note** all bedrooms are upstairs so if there are mobility issues you may need to consider this. Sue was very good about contacting us ahead of time with this info as well.

We couldn’t have asked for a better location. We were so close to the SDC for the MTU graduation! It was the perfect spot. There were lots of games to choose from for the evenings when we were all hanging out. The coffee station was nice. The big desk in the single bedroom was great for our daughter to work on some school work while we were away from home. It was a great experience! I would highly recommend this place to anyone coming for MTU graduation!

Wonderful place to stay!

We stayed at this property to ride the ATV trail system. You could not ask for a better location to the system. Easy to get to the trails, and access to two great loops to ride.

Pamela’s place was exactly as described! Everything was clean and in working condition. Pamela’s place was the most well stocked AirBNB we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in dozens of different rentals over the years! The bed and pillows are very comfortable! Pamela is an excellent communicator and responds quickly to inquiries! We visited Fayette Historic Park one afternoon and it’s fabulous if you enjoy history! We had a delicious dinner at the Freshwater Tavern nearby on the lake! If we are back in the area again we would definitely rent Pamela’s place again!

We were in the area to visit the porcupine mountains and Joseph's basement apartment worked great. We were about 30 minutes from the western tip of the park. We packed a lunch and spent our days in the mountains. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed for making meals along with various travel brochures for options of what to do in the area.

I stayed for a week and enjoyed the area. It was only an hour from Munising where I had planned a bunch of activities. The place was bigger than the pictures and had everything I needed to cook for the week. Had a little issue initially connecting to the internet but Pam was responsive and helpful. Would happily stay again if I’m in the area.

Beautiful place. Very clean and well kept. Right between Gladstone and Escanaba. Looking right at the water. Would recommend to family and friends and will definitely stay there again. Thank you.

We loved our stay! It was a perfect location for both Duluth & also to Eveleth for the Hockey Hall of Fame. It was very clean & cozy and exceeded our expectations. The electric fireplace was a great bonus. Would stay again!

Great place! Our kids were uncertain when they heard we were going to be in an apartment, they decided it was our best AirBnB ever.

Jacqueline was an amazing host and I would recommend this to anyone! She made us feel super comfortable, welcomed and at home. She had wrote a list of waterfalls for us to visit and in a specific order. Breakfast every morning was amazing and she even made cakes and desserts every night! I could not have asked for a better stay. If you are even on this page checking her out, just book it!! You won’t regret it. Super sweet lady and beautiful home. Julie is very welcoming and accommodating to guests needs. Another guest switched rooms with us due to our needs. Its a little ways from Duluth activities but for the money you save by staying here vs anywhere in Duluth is well worth the drive. It was like staying at a family members house.

Charming 140 year old house. The breakfast and bakery down stairs was the real 5 star.

Honestly, this was one of the best air b n b’s I have ever stayed in. It is so cozy, and in the most beautiful location. While the retreat is busy in the summer people are missing out by not experiencing it in the winter. We had a massage right at the retreat, the hot tub and sauna were incredible, and the wood burning fire place was so cozy. Cheryl provides an amazing breakfast and was an extremely caring and responsive host. Elevate your winter experience and come stay here, you will not be disappointed. We will be back!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Timber Baron Inn! We are typically city travelers, but this quiet, beautiful town was just what we needed and the Inn could not have been more perfect!

Kathy’s house was exquisite. Situated about 300 feet from the mouth of the Eagle River, the rushing water was relaxing and peaceful to fall asleep to at night and calming in the morning to wake up to. The area itself is very small, old and quaint. Eagle River is only about 4-5 blocks worth of housing, most of them seemed like summer homes as there were not a lot of other people around. There is one local restaurant, The Fitzgerald, I highly recommend it. Check out Eagle River Falls which is a gorgeous 50-75 ft cascade of water and then look at the historic wooden arch bridge next to it that connects Eagle River with the rest of the UP. Central Mine is about a 7 minute drive away and worth exploring the trails. You can find old building ruins if you explore enough.. Be sure to spend some time on the beach. Take a scenic drive up MI-26 to Copper Harbor and explore the places between. This place is highly recommended if you want a weekend to disconnect and discover nature.

Delightful Inn nestled in the north woods. Beautiful location, equidistant from Virginia and Ely. Mary is a wonderful hostess and always very helpful. Recommended to anyone visiting that area.
