Private suite holiday rentals in Lake Superior

Beautiful location, amazing views. We spent the day skipping rocks and finding rock treasures. So close to our favorite places- new scenic cafe, Russ Kendall’s and Betty’s pies. Such a magical place, our family loved staying here!

Honestly, you NEED to stay here if you’re thinking about it. The beauty alone of this place is worth it. The hosts are absolutely amazing, incredibly responsive, helpful, and will hang with you if you want, if not, they’ll leave you alone! They were always inviting and always had recommendations for things for us to do. On top of that, the place is gorgeous and sooooo fun, I had the weekend of my life. The lake is a blast, the community this place created and gave to me and my friends was something i’ll always cherish. Thank you for hosting us! Can’t wait to be back!

Tim and Roxanne were the nicest hosts we’ve ever dealt with and their place is truly spectacular. It was a privilege to stay there. It is beautiful, peaceful and such an idyllic setting! They also keep their place in tip top shape and have everything you could ever need available for you. Hammocks, boats, bikes… whatever you need. We’ve stayed at a ton of rentals up north as well as internationally, and none come close to staying with Tim and Roxanne at their place. Plus, the lake is pristine and private to the twenty some property owners that have a home on it. Great fishing, clear water and even some sandy spots. Oh, and Al Capone’s brother owned a house on this lake, so there’s a lot of cool history too. So glad we found this place…. Thanks Tim and Roxanne!

Perfect stay for our weekend softball tournament. Incredibly clean, no road noise, plenty of linens and products. Everything was as described! Probably removed snow from parking area, walkway and porch. Would definitely stay again!

We came to the Keweenaw hoping to see the Northern Lights, but we missed them by a week. However, our trip was memorable anyway, largely because of Kathy's hospitality and her knowledge of the area. The 'light breakfast' was the perfect way to start our days of exploring the history and natural beauty of the peninsula. Kathy provided a map, which was continually useful. The bed is really comfortable, the night is incredibly quiet and dark. We slept very well. It's useful to know that cell service is sparse in the area, so the roadmap is extra useful when you're out and about. And it's not a bad idea to arrive with a full tank of gas because there's not a station around every bend. (Or grocery store. Or restaurant, for that matter.) Again, this is where Kathy's expertise and local knowledge is invaluable. One thing I'd recommend: walk across the street and onto the bridge over the Eagle River and watch the water flow into Lake Superior. If you want a place to relax, this is it.

We stayed in the basement apartment and enjoyed our stay. If you are 6'3" or over, you will have to watch your head as there are some low spots. Joe was great to communicate with and I recommend staying here.

We rate this place “5” in all areas. Everything was perfect, and we felt welcome and cared for. It was a wonderful experience. Walking distance from Lake Superior and one of its nicest beaches. Would work well for a family or two couples. Lovely outdoor space for meals or just relaxing on patio.

Emily is a proactive host. The cabin and description are precise in the advertisement. It is clean very clean. The instructions are clear.

This guest house is perfect. Extremely nice and clean accommodations near a lot if hiking and other activities that we wanted to do. The view is stunning, you can wake up looking at the lake. If you're looking for a stay on the north shore, you've found it.

This is my second time staying at Faith’s and it was just as amazing as the first. I will stay here every time I can. It’s comfortable, quiet, private, provides a lot of space for my toddler to play, and Faith is always kind, quick, helpful, accommodating, and supportive. We had a great stay. Everything was as described, and the place was very clean. As others have mentioned, you do hear a bit of sound from the floor above, but certainly nothing more than one would expect, and it is stated in the description of the space. We were 4 adults, and made good use of the well equipped kitchen. Beds were very comfortable and bedding was very clean and bright.

Great little place. Couch isn’t the most comfortable for lounging on but otherwise it is very cozy! Not far from town and beautiful view of the sunrise over the lake.

Susan’s place was nice and quiet and her instructions for checking in were straightforward, 10/10 I’d recommend staying here if you want a nice quiet place in Thunder Bay.

Excellent location (a walk away from Lake Superior). There is literally everything you could need. The best stocked Airbnb I think I've ever stayed in, from the kitchen, to the bathroom, to the board games, blankets, beach towels, you name it. There isn't a stove in the kitchen, but there are too many great local places to eat at in Marquette that you don't need it. There is a Keurig and electric tea kettle. The wifi was fast; there is a Google TV; and the foosball table was a hit. Beds are comfy and clean. If you get the chance, this is a fantastic stay!

Karen's place is excellent. We were really happy staying in the apartment. Two weeks of serene time out with family. Karen responded to all requests with appreciable considerations. Appreciation to Karen and her family. They always ask for what they could do more to make our stay more enjoyable. We recommend the apartment to everyone that wants to feel at home on a journey. Very conductive!

We really enjoyed the apartment! Very peaceful and quiet after busy days visiting family. The location is within a few minutes drive to many stores in Duluth and the North Shore. It'd be a great place for an extended stay, for sure! Thanks so much Jenny, we'll be in touch next time!

Jon's unit is delightful and appealing. My family and I felt right at home. The suite has living and working spaces we enjoyed very well. I was happy and quite pleased by the amenities that were provided as promised, especially the full kitchen and utensils, personal care items, the variety of entertainment options, and the shared laundry space. In addition, the unit's location is pleasant and ideal with a park right at the back door, shops nearby, bus lines, and grocery markets all within a few steps or a short drive away. We stayed a very long time and look forward to booking again with Jon when we're in Thunder Bay again for sure. Thanks so much, Jon, for caring and understanding what hospitality means!

love the view, very quiet when I am here. it's clean, right down from Michigan Tech school plus downtown. where I love to have homemade French toast at Victoria's kitchen!

We had a great family get away at Kevin’s place! It was very warm and cozy! We skied one day at Mount Bohemia and spent a day in Houghton. Beautiful area, great location! Plenty of room for four adults. Kevin was very responsive and easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay here again!!
