Cottage holiday rentals in Lake Superior

My best friend and I stayed with our families for the Gwinn Gus Macker weekend and we loved it! The boys fished, rode their bikes and relaxed in the hot tub after a long chill day of playing ball! We were able to sit by the fire and relax with the sound of crickets in the background - we will definitely be back! Maybe with the entire team next time!

Fantastic location, especially if you plan to visit the Sleeping Giant. Huge outdoor space with multiple deck levels, all lit up at night both with solar and motion lighting. Cozy cottage with everything we needed, including a really nice hot tub after a day of hiking and biking. Great stop - would definitely stay again!

Just book it! My husband and I agree- the best view we’ve ever had! Beautiful at sunrise through sunset, followed by the most perfect stars once darkness sets in. There is a lot of fun hiking in the area and this made such a perfect home base. The views from the hot tub are unbelievable! Scotty was responsive and helpful with local recommendations. We were traveling with our two young daughters who loved the space- plenty of room for all of us. If we’re lucky enough to have the opportunity to stay here again, we enthusiastically would.

Super comfortable, nice place to stay, we had to leave early for an emergency and Jerry was super understanding about it. He is a great host and the house is adorable!

We had a great stay, our second in two years. We love the feeling of being out in nature and the sense of privacy. This year our “neighbors” were two bald eagles we saw on the beach every morning while watching the sun rise over Lake Michigan. Some practical things to consider: the nearest grocery store is Jack’s in Manistique. Best to stop there before you arrive, it’s more than a short drive. And, take them seriously when they tell you to arrive during daylight! I wouldn’t want my first drive down the single-track access lane to be in the dark! If I were planning to stay there in the winter, I would check with the management company first to make sure my vehicle was up to it. When we arrived we found the EV charger not working, but we contacted the management company and they worked hard to make it right in less than 24 hours, even though it was a weekend.

Property was spacious, well maintained, and clean. Host provided clear instructions and was always friendly, proactive and responsive. This definitely contributed to an overall positive vacation experience!

In general, I really liked everything 🥹 The hot tub is just great 😍 Everything is clean and tidy, Jacqueline was very quick and clear in responding to messages. We had a problem with a tree falling on the road and no access to the house, but George fixed it literally 5 minutes after I messaged him. The only thing that was a bit of a disadvantage was the condition of the kitchen, in my opinion, it needs a little repair. But in general, this did not interfere with our vacation, so we were satisfied and I can confidently recommend this cottage to anyone who wants to be alone with nature. This place is really worth a visit!😊

This was a very cozy home with a cottage feel, loved the fenced in yard since we brought our dog with. Will definitely recommend!

I had a great time staying here for my snowmobile trip. The cabin accommodates 8 people comfortable and with it being right on the lake it is convenient

Mesmerizing place on the mighty Lake Superior! This was our second visit to this property and we are going to keep coming back. The view from the house is breathtaking, water is so pristine that you'll want to keep staring at it for hours. You cannot expect anything better in any property in terms of how the place is maintained, stocked with food and everything you need in a home. It was our time for checkout but no one could leave so we requested Danielle to extend our checkout time and she let us stay for over 6 ours. We are very appreciative of that but still had a hard time leaving. We are going to come back again...and again... If you're in Upper Michigan, this is the place you must stay at.

We loved this home!! Enjoyed sitting down by the dock and relaxing. Home is super comfy and beds are comfortable. Many amenities in the property. Loved the peacefulness of this home and Jen was very responsive and helpful. Great communication.

It was a wonderful place to stay with the touch of history that the UP has since it was a mining house at one time. Everything was very clean and taken care of. Would recommend to anyone heading to the keweenaw and look for a good location with all sorts of history, waterfalls, and rock hunting around.

This home has everything you need. Kitchen is very well stocked, plenty of towels, and wood for a fire. The crows nest has great views!

First time visiting Duluth this was a great place to stay if you have a dog to have your own space! Beautiful view of the lake, we will definitely come back!

This is a beautiful location on Lake Superior with a great beach to launch off of to paddle or kayak. The neighbors are kind and waive when you float by. The house is exceptionally clean. The fireplace was so warm and cozy. Bring a yoga mat because the porch is a great spot to stretch! Melissa is a responsive host and so friendly. I’ll definitely miss this place for a long time!

This was our second stay at this Airbnb. We enjoyed our stay and felt right at home. Everything was neat and clean. We enjoyed visiting local restaurants & Silver River Bakery is a must!

The house was just as pictured! Plenty of room inside and out. Beautiful water front area to hang out and loved sitting on the deck having coffee and relaxing. Found everything we needed and Ordel was great with information for both the house and surrounding area. Great location to do day trips from...we did Mackinaw Island one day, Whitefish point and Tahquamenon Falls one day and the Soo Locks one day. Had a wonderful time, thanks Ordel!

This was one of the best places we have ever stayed. Lori had everything we needed. She communicated throughout our visit as there were fire restrictions in place. As soon as they were lifted she let us know. I can’t wait to return!

Debbie's cottage is everything the site shows it to be. Staying in this pristine pine cottage nestled on a beautiful Northwoods lake on a quiet road surrounded by birch and pines met every hope and dream for this trip. Especially for my grandson who came with no agenda but to fish. He caught a 12# Northern off their dock! Debbie and Keith were beyond accommodating, so attentive to what we might need. I am so grateful to them and for having had this experience. Strongly recommend this for a Northwoods, lake-life getaway.

The River House is the perfect location for a peaceful and scenic getaway and is situated overlooking the Chocolay River with the Iron Ore Heritage Trail just steps away. Marquette with its many amenities is a short drive and the Pictured Rocks in Munising is well worth experiencing for its natural beauty. Toni is a very responsive host and always accessible if needs arise. Overall, you will enjoy your stay!

We stayed at Janes cabin in paradise for 3 days this past weekend and it was exactly what we were looking for. Very quiet, spacious and right in the shore of beautiful Lake Superior. We enjoyed a nightly campfire after watching the most amazing sunsets. We will definitely be back.
