Holiday rentals with a kayak in Lake Superior

We had a wonderful time! Kathleen was extremely helpful and quick at getting back with us. She had everything you needed to make you feel right at home. We had a great time on the pontoon and enjoying the great outdoor space here too. And pet friendly, our pups loved it!!

Beautiful home in a beautiful setting. The house was perfect for our group of 6 (4 adults and 2 teenagers). We especially enjoyed the kayaks, fire pit, frisbee, and the chess table.

Our family had a wonderful stay. We had everything we needed. The house is spread out so everyone had their own space. My husband and I shared the master, my adult son and family had their own apartment basically ( in the tower), teenage boys had the “bunker”, and although my parents couldn’t make it, they would have had their own wing as well. Beautiful surroundings, private… we couldn’t have asked for more on our long weekend away bonding with family.

The location was beautifully set on a lake. It was nice being on the end of a row of cabins and homes so that we didn’t feel like we were being disruptive of other guests in the area. The lake view was awesome. The house was very nicely updated with great finishes. Bedrooms were small and packed with beds but the quality of the bunks made up for the tightness.

Beautiful cabin with plenty of space. We would absolutely stay here again. The host was responsive and clearly answered all our questions so we knew what to expect. Our only noted challenge was backing a 44 foot race trailer into the driveway with fresh snow, but with some effort we got it in there! Surroundings are stunning, would love to see this place in the summer!

We rented Alexandra's beautiful home for a company retreat and it was so wonderful we are already hoping to rent it again. The majority of my team is local but the others were from across CAN and the US. We were all equally blown away by the view and the spaciousness. It's proximity to town made it easy to grab folks from the airport and for any last minute runs for supplies. (There is also a connivence store only a few minutes away.) We were there to play and test board games, and there was ample room to set up multiple games across various tables. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything you would need. There was more than enough dish-ware, supplies and linens/towels. It does get warm with the floor to ceiling windows but as long as you use the blinds and the many fans it is never to uncomfortable. The private beach and protected swimming area was great for refreshing dips and everyone loved the kayaks and paddle boards. 100 would recommend and stay again! Thank you!

A Dream Getaway at Britta's Lakefront Cabin! We had the most incredible stay at Britta’s cabin on the lake in the Upper Peninsula! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the serene setting and breathtaking views of the lake. The cabin itself is beautifully designed and spacious made it feel like a home away from home Britta was an exceptional host—she went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Communication was seamless from the start, and she provided us with helpful recommendations. She clearly cares about her guests and has thought of every detail to make the experience unforgettable. If you're looking for a relaxing, picturesque retreat with a perfect balance of nature and comfort, this cabin is the place to be. We’re already planning our next visit and can't wait to return to Britta’s beautiful lakeside escape! Highly recommend!

We had a great stay at the cabin. The location is gorgeous with views of the lake. The cabin has been nicely renovated and had everything we needed. Nadine was great at communicating and answering questions. Highly recommend.

Cara was very responsive and was quick to answer any questions we had. The home was clean and modern. Everything was very clean. Overall we enjoyed our stay, and would recommend it to others.

Jessica is an amazing host. There were so many extras. We loved the kayaks and canoe that they were kind enough to let us use. Spent most of our day in the water. Very clear water. Kid friendly. A zillion stars at night and coffee with the pretty Sunrise. We were ages 3 to 64 and all had a blast. We never wanted to leave. Fast response to questions. Easy check in. Easy to find. Clean. Had everything you need to cook. Many fun places near to explore. We even fished for Salmon. We highly recommend and would love to come back. You will not be sorry if you stay. Thank you Thank you

The mist clearing on the lake in the morning sun reveals the changing colors of trees in the Fall Season. At night, the constellations sparkle strongly and clearly in the dark sky. And the sounds of silence increase the sense of peace and wonder. This is what you can experience whether sitting around a lakeside fire or sitting in the front room of the cottage. And making a home cooked meal is a pleasure as well...the kitchen supports good cooking and the dining room table supports warm and interesting conversations. Thanks, Leanne

Eden's place was as described.I would absolutely stay there again,very peaceful. There were some issues regarding the cleanliness of the place which Eden responded to promptly and resolved accordingly. Had several amenities, just as described. The hot tub , sauna , bikes, bonfire are just some of the few amenities we enjoyed. Eden was a wonderful host and would absolutely recommend, very respectful and responsive.

The cottage was a fantastic place to stay! It was cozy, had plenty of amenities, and was situated by a beautiful lake that was wonderful to wake up to.

This was my first experience with air bnb. Nicole and her husband were super easy to book with. Myself and my family really enjoyed our stay at their airBnB. Very clean and had all of the amenities and then some for a cozy family camping trip . What an amazing location to stay! We unfortunately had a medical emergency during our stay and Nicole and her husband were both so kind and hospitable offering us help if we needed it. I couldn’t recommend a better place to stay with more friendly hosts. If you’re thinking about booking do not hesitate!!

Our stay was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The host was incredibly welcoming and provided all the information we needed for a smooth check-in and comfortable stay. The property itself was even more beautiful than the pictures, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we could have wanted. We especially loved the stunning view. The place truly exceeded our expectations, and we would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect getaway.

What a wonderful cabin to get away from everyday life. This hidden gem is right on the lake with incredible sunsets and sunrises. We got to fish right off of our own private dock, Bethany and Cole had a fire pit already for us to use and a basket of all the fixings for s’more. The cabin was super clean and had everything we needed, but being so close to the lake I would recommend you bring your own drinking water. Bethany and Cole answered all of our questions and were so friendly, we stayed for four days only, I just wish we could have stayed for the whole summer.

Beautiful place. I didn't get to downs too much time there since I was working, but was clean, roomy and the perfect way to unwind at end of day! The only thing is the water must be straight from the well and smelled awful. I would difenately stay again 😛

John was one of the most friendly, communicative, flexible hosts I've ever experienced. He was thoroughly delightful, conscientious, and helpful. The cabin was charming and cozy.

The property is as in the photos, very spacious in the inside. Right on the water, only a minute or two from downtown Ely, but worlds away from the City. Nice setting, plenty of room for all in your group. Multiple levels, built to enjoy being on the lake, so many nice touches, and the kitchen is well stocked, with plenty of glasses/plates and everything required to feel at home. Plenty of towels! Hot tub is in a private setting! Second floor is reached by open stairway, includes an open area overlooking first floor, that includes conversation area with futon, and large bedroom with great view of sunrise and attached bathroom with shower and large jetted tub. We were just two, and felt comfortably together, larger groups will not feel crowded, and two cars can park in the garage, and they provide two remote garage door openers, so you do not have to get out of your car to open or close the garage door. Truly is like having your own place in the woods, if you were a millionaire!

We love this place! The location is great for hunting, fishing and snowmobiling. We will make this our go to place for future trips when available.
