Holiday rentals with a hot tub in Lake Rotorua / Te Rotorua nui ā Kahumatamomoe

Loved our Airbnb stay in Rotorua! So much to do and see, so we didn’t spend much time inside during the day, but was so nice to have a comfy place to come back to after full days of sightseeing. Kids also loved the spa and Disney subscription. Parents appreciated the later check out on our final day as we were in need of a sleep in! Would stay again - thank you!

We had a very comfortable stay. Communication was quick and easy. We extended our stay at short notice, which was most appreciated. The house was as described and well equipped for our stay. It was close to attractions, supermarkets etc if driving. The spa was a great addition. I would recommend the property.

The Redwood Retreat is the most amazing place. It offers everything you could wish for. Everything in this house is thoughtful and well-appointed. We felt right at home and enjoyed our holiday there, even when the weather turned nasty for three days. This house offers the perfect relaxing atmosphere after a day of adventure and activity. Thank you so much for the most beautiful time we had.

Very enjoyable and comfortable stay

Tara was easy to deal with and place was clean and tidy. House had plenty of room and an excellent outdoor area including a pool to relax and refresh. Would definitely stay again.

Tracey’s place was homely, and clean. We especially loved the spa. Kitchen was very well equipped and had some ingredients around too (herbs etc) which is always so helpful. Would have been good to have laundry availability, but absolutely not a must as we only stayed 3 nights. Just so clean, and welcoming. We’d definitely stay again. Thank you!!

Fantastic hosts, and even better stay, won’t think twice to book again!!

A beautiful renovated old house with higher ceilings and lots of nice decorations, big rooms and lounge/dining area/kitchen and a big garden. Good beds, shower, TV and WiFi. It has almost everything except a BBQ. There is a washing mashine and dryer (which does not work that well anymore), dishwasher, a pool with salt water, a wonderful whirl pool which we had to get up to temperature first and could only use from the second day. It is a shame that they put in a carpet in the lounge/dining are and another carpet on top. This carpet curled and was a trip hazard. The one toilet and the dryer were not clean but the rest was good. There was salt but no pepper. It also provided tea, coffee, sugar, oil. All in all we enjoyed our stay very much. We forgot a bag and they sent it on to us free of charge. I enjoyed the closed verandah and used is as an office but the socket behind the desk did not work. We found a power strip and a (dirty) extension cable. There is also an iron and ironboard.

This place is absolutely INCREDIBLE! I can't recommend it enough. We booked it for a night for a hens party and the look on guests faces when they arrived was priceless. Such a hidden gem in Katikati, and well worth the drive there if you are considering staying. The house was spectacular and so accommodating to a large group of people, with a lovely courtyard for outdoor activities. The little cottages were also a lovely surprise for guests and so well maintained. Laura's communication was also excellent. I would love to visit again one day. . . and stay for a week!

We were very happy to spend the last 4 nights of our NZ trip at Toka Ridge 4. The property was pristine with beautiful views of the lake. It was a quiet area that felt a little remote, but the shops, restaurants and bustle of Roturua were just 15-20 mins away. Two easy Alltrails walks were within walking distance of the property. The Hamurana Lakefront Reserve Walkway (offering great views of the lake) began just down the road and, near its end, the Hamurana Springs Loop Walkway (a lovely/surprising mix of redwoods and cold springs with lots of ducks) began across the street. A few mosquitos did find us while visiting the jacuzzi just after dusk, but did not bother us during the day. The consensus of our group was that Toka 4 was the nicest Airbnb of our 5+ week NZ stay. The Villa is super stunning and rustic with all and more than needed ammenities. Our group thoroughly enjoyed spending an evening here. Laura was also super helpful and quick with communication and clear instructions. Definitely would love to go back for a longer stay and possibly even make use of the space for events. The hosts William and Tian were very helpful and responsive to messages leading up to our stay. William came to the house on the day to make sure we had a working TV and showed us how to use the spa. He was friendly and very kind. The house was spacious with comfortable beds, linen/pillows and couches. There were extra towels and blankets to use as well. The spa was a wonderful addition and we enjoyed it on those cool autumn nights. The house was very clean and I felt very comfortable having my baby stay there. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you could need to make meals and serve a big family. They even had coffee pods for the morning. The garden was big, beautiful and peaceful - it would’ve been perfect for summer. Location is great - close enough to the city but far enough for it to feel secluded. Thank you for accommodating us!

Beautiful property with idyllic surrounds. We stayed while participating in a running event and found it the perfect place to unwind after a hard morning! Very secluded and peaceful with all needed amenities + some added comforts. Would highly recommend and hope we can visit again!

The place was absolutely beautiful, would definitely stay there again! It had everything we needed plus more, the hot tub was really nice. Greg was very helpful the entire time too

Our second stay with Dave and just as easy and enjoyable as the first.

We had never been to Sapphire Springs before and were lucky to find availability for two nights at the end of our holiday. The facilities were excellent, my daughter loved the play equipment, trampoline and mini golf, and the pools and bush walks were fabulous. One thing we noticed was how happy and friendly all the staff were. It really makes a difference to the experience when the staff are like that. We’ll definitely be back!

Absolutely loved my stay! Beautiful views out front on the deck and from the spa. The bed is a cloud, it’s super cozy. Overall a beautiful & cute cabin that’s modern, comfortable with scenic views and privacy. Looking forward to staying again and have recommended this spot to my friends already.

Clean and warm camp ground. Lovely surroundings set in peaceful bush, and I also took full advantage of the hot pools. Reception was very helpful and welcoming and I was grateful as I didn't read all the terms and conditions of bringing your own bedding( I'm travelling from overseas so didn't bring bed linen) and coin activated showers and helped me out that way. I would stay here again, and it would be a really nice place to bring a young family as the pools; stream, ducks and complimentary mini golf would be ideal for young children. It would be great once the fibre cables are in and there is better reception and / or WiFi also but I knew there wasn't any before I arrived so that was fine. I would recommend this idyllic place for families 10/10
