Holiday rentals with a hot tub in Lake Biwa

great location, super quiet. could use more heating in the winter (bathroom & shower cold), but would totally stay again!

We liked the house very much. It was very spacious (even though one of the bedrooms was not available, which was mentioned in the house description). Kitchen was very well equipped, we only missed wine opener and wine glasses ;). The location is ok. Not exactly in the city center, but Matsumoto is small enough to allow you to reach amost everywhere on foot. Plus there are some restaurants and shops very close to the house. The house is at one of the busiest streets, yet we did not experience any noise. Parking place was a good addition, it saved us money on public parking (which are mostly paid). Communication with Akiko was very good, the host was very proactive and helpful. All instructions were very clear and comprehensive. I can honestly recommend this place to other travellers.

This place was PERFECT. The apartment was super clean, modern and high-tech. It had the comfiest beds we’ve had in Japan and the air con was perfect for how humid it was while we were there. Everything was super clean - bathroom was private with great water pressure. The location was great - 3 min walk from train and bus as advertised. Syun gives a great guide to get to the location, it’s impossible to get lost. Would stay here Everytime I’m in Kyoto.

Maison typique Japonaise avec tout le nécessaire pour se sentir comme à la maison. En prime, ce bain privé dans le petit jardin on l’on peut rester longtemps sans que l’eau ne refroidisse ! J’ai adoré 🥰. 7 min pied d’une ligne qui remonte vers le centre Kyoto et c est une gare JR pour ceux qui ont pris les pass. En conclusion, parfait ! 👍

Le logement était vraiment charmant et décoré avec goût, parfait pour un court séjour. Toutefois, il manquait un espace commun aménagé pour que notre groupe de 7 personnes puisse prendre les repas ensemble (pas de grande table ni de coin repas), ce qui aurait rendu notre expérience encore plus conviviale. Le prix nous a semblé un peu élevé compte tenu de cet aspect. Cela dit, l’endroit reste agréable et bien situé.

Very comfortable for 3 of us. It is within 15-25 mins walk to most attractions partly on narrow roads. Taxis can conveniently stop right outside the apt. The apt has easy-to-use amenities eg washer cum dryer, relaxing round bath tub, 2 toilets and 2 bathrooms, well-lit rooms on 2nd floor with comfortable floor mattresses. Little space downstairs if you have many big suitcases as stairways can be narrow to move them to second floor.

We really enjoyed staying here. (4 people) nice and roomy compared to a hotel room. Has a lovely traditional feel with tatami mats and screen doors. Be careful on the stairs because they are small and you can slip if you are not careful. The neighborhood is nice and quiet which is a nice break from the busy city. The shower room is awesome and clean. We cooked dinner one night. There is a 7-11 and grocery store on the same street as the airBnB. The Yellow Deli, Bitokes and Dal Masala are all fantastic restaurants also on the same street. We used the local Randen station trolley to easily get to and from Arashiyama. Lastly the host is very reasonable, responsive and friendly. We would definitely come again!

Great location and easy check in process, the host was great in allowing us to store us luggage for a short bit before check in time.

Our stay at Yanbin’s place was great! We really felt at home, at a Japanese home! Place is great, location was awesome! Away from the tourists but still super close to any action Kyoto offers! Yanbin was super friendly, always willing to help and put up with all my questions! Honestly a great place, plenty of room, comfortable and great location! Our kids were very careful around the house, but with so much space it was really great! Everyone had its own corner in the house to enjoy their reading, playing a game, reading a book or sipping a coffee/tea/sake! Highly recommended without a doubt! Thank you Yanbin, see you next time!

Lovely time at Kyoto House! A really fun space, mix of classic Japanese and western style. The doorways are a little low if you’re tall but really no complaints. Would stay again!

綺麗で利用しやすい良いお家でした。 寝室も広く、たくさんあるので、 友達家族と他世帯で泊まるのにとてもよかったです。 洗面台やトイレが複数あるのも嬉しいポイントでした。 リビングの団欒スペースも大人数でも広々使えて夜までみんなで楽しく過ごせました。 昼は近くの松の浦キャンプ場で湖畔BBQをしました。湖はすぐ見えますが、BBQができる場所までは徒歩5分ほどでした。 また車10分とかからず、ちょうどいい日帰り温泉(比良とぴあ)があります。 大人数子連れでも、家で入る組と日帰り温泉組に分かれられるので便利です。 コンビニも駅も近かったです。

The home is situated near the river and is next to a lot of restaurants. The home itself is very modern, Japanese style, minimal, stylish decor, and thoughtful touches throughout. It was quiet, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The host was responsive and provided clear instructions, making check-in and check-out easy. We really enjoyed being close to the water and having so many dining options within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again!

This home is beautiful. It’s been recently renovated and it looked, felt and smelled new. The decoration and furnishings were really lovely. It’s in a quiet residential area about 20 minutes from the main shopping and sightseeing area, 10-15 minute walk to station and 3 stops to Kawaramachi markets. It comfortably fits 7 people in 3 different bedrooms, each with their own bathrooms. Appliances and tableware were all high end. It doesn’t have closets in the bedrooms, just a couple of hangers, which seems to be common in Japan hotels. Shogo, our host, was very friendly, super communicative and helpful. Also very generous with his hospitality. This place is not in the middle of the busy sightseeing areas, but it’s relatively central and easy to get to places with public transport. There are also some shops and restaurants in walking distance. Overall, we had a wonderful stay! Very cozy and spacious, and equipped with everything we needed.

仲間8人で使用させていただきましたが非常に設備も整っており 快適に過ごすことができました。 また当日の天候がすぐれずに気温が低かったですが、室内、室外の薪ストーブが新鮮で温かみがあり最高でした。 次回は暖かい時期に予約したいです。

とにかく設備も揃ってるし、 全てが清潔感抜群。 プライベート空間としても塀が高いので良し。 また活用させてもらいます
