Our inn was apparently built in the early Showa period. We have renovated the bathroom and kitchen areas to make your stay more comfortable while still retaining the charm of the townhouse, such as the low ceilings and narrow, steep stairs. The name Shinsen comes from one of the oldest famous courtyard in Kyoto during Heian Period, "Shinsenen", which is located near our house. Here, you can experience the original and traditional Japan and the ingenuity of combining modern elements with traditional craftsmanship.
