The atrium of the house is a traditional Japanese courtyard, with a unique fish pond with a group of koi carp symbolizing good luck, a transparent courtyard and a picture of a step-by-step view will add a touch of harmony and tranquility to your journey. The entire house has three separate bedrooms, two fully functional private bathrooms (Toilets), a bathroom (Bathroom) with a premium cypress bathtub, and an open kitchen where you can cook. The location is another highlight here. Located in the Higashiyama area of Kyoto, it is only a 7-minute walk to the Keihan Line "Shimizu Gojo", only one stop to Kyoto's most prosperous shopping center "Shijo Kawaramachi", and only a 5-minute walk to the Kamogawa River. Reikaku Yasaka | Gion | Historical Machiya

Reikaku Yasaka was a building in ruins with the floor tilted by at least 30cm when we discovered this hidden jewel. The restoration was particularly difficult due to the state it was in but our craftsman’s determination to bring this Machiya back to its formal glory paid off for Reikaku Yasaka. The result is Japanese craftsmanship at its best and we are very proud to be able to share the result with the rest of the world. Check our other house as an alternate option @ Reikaku Kiyomizu-Gojo

The location of the hotel is in a place where you can walk to downtown area of Kyoto and famous temples. It is a very convenient place.

We kept the original structure and make it much more modern and comfortable. The river in front of the house is the must-see in Kyoto changing from cherry bloom to maples.
