Kyomachiya Private Rental "Takasegawa Shichijo" is an accommodation facility that has been fully renovated from a 115-year-old kyomachiya. The kyomachiya, which forms the beautiful scenery of Kyoto, has been redesigned as a building with high airtightness and thermal insulation performance, while retaining the original structure, so that you can enjoy a comfortable stay during Kyoto's unique hot and humid summers and harshly cold winters. From the Japanese-style room on the first floor, you can see the tsubo garden, which is designed to resemble a "roji" (*the garden that leads to the tea room). There is also a sofa in the hallway where you can relax and enjoy the view of the tsubo garden. In the evening, you can spend a relaxing time watching the illuminated tsubo garden. There are two bedrooms on the second floor: a Japanese-style room with two single beds and a Western-style room with two single beds. If there are 5 or more guests, we will set up a futon in the Japanese-style room on the ground floor for you to use as a bedroom. The kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils and tableware so you can prepare simple meals.

The whole ceiling is covered with cypress, and the pillars, frames, and baseboards are also made of cypress, creating a space filled with the comfort of real natural materials and the scent of cypress. It is located in the Kiyomizu-dera Temple area, about 6 minutes on foot from Exit 4 of Kiyomizu-Gojō Station on the Keihan Line, near Kiyomizu-dera Temple, one of Kyoto's most famous tourist destinations.
