Pölökkylä - A wilderness cabin on the shore of a lake

Located on the shores of a beautiful and clean lake, this log cabin is perfect for those who love nature and want to spend their vacation relaxing without any neighbors. There's a boat on the beach of the cottage. The cottage and sauna are heated with wood. The fridge and stove run on gas. Domestic water is carried from the lake and the water is heated in the water tank of the sauna stove. Electricity is provided by solar panels. There is an outdoor toilet in the yard. During the winter season, solar panels are not in use.

A newer spacious house where children also enjoy themselves. The house is in its own peace in the middle of nature. An atmospheric sauna and in the backyard you can go swimming in the marsh pond. The backyard has a great view, and in winter you can also see the northern lights. From the yard you can jog on forest trails, and in winter you can ski and snowmobile. Private beach (80 m from the cottage) with an electric outboard motor equipped with a rowing boat. Hot tub, sheets and towels as agreed (extra charge). Snowshoes and children's sleds are allowed. Nearby: e.g. Ruka ski resort 19 km from the cottage (about 20 min drive), Riisitunturi National Park 18 km (about 15 min drive), also Valtavaara, Konttainen, Karhunkierros nearby.

Welcome to Villa Jaakkola! Villa Jaakkola is a log villa completed in 2022 in Jokijärvi, Taivalkoski. The villa is spacious and roomy. Downstairs there is one bedroom and a sauna + bathroom. The loft also has plenty of space and sleeping places. The cottage has all the modern comforts and the large windows open up to a magnificent lake landscape in two directions. In the warmth of the fireplace, it is nice to watch the northern lights and listen to the silence. You will enjoy and relax here, welcome!
