Guesthouse holiday rentals in Kalmar County

A wonderful swedish experience! Actually, one should keep this little paradise to oneself as a secret tip and share it only with very good friends :) The location of Magnus' small loft is a dream, situated with a slightly elevated terrace, overlooking the legendary landscape of the archipelago and finding oneself in the midst of nature. The grounds of the accommodation are like Bullerbü, with a beautiful stylish Swedish house attached and old fruit trees as well.There are paddle boats and canoes as well as bicycles, so you can move around perfectly to explore the islands. The loft is very cozy with typical Nordic charm, very comfortable, good beds, and a modern shower. A small kitchenette helps to self-cater occasionally. Magnus and his wife are very warm and welcoming hosts who always had good answers to all our wishes and questions. Magnus is an expert in giving tips about the surroundings and other parts of the country. Definitely a vacation that couldn't have been more beautiful.

Ulrika is an excellent host who is very keen for guests to enjoy themselves. The home is in a calm and genuine environment that breathes by the history of the farm. The location was a great starting point for our bike excursions. That the rooms for sleeping rooms, kitchen and a relaxation room with access to a sauna are divided into different buildings did not do us anything. We can understand that guests will be happy to come again.

We stayed at Christel's place for three nights. We enjoyed it very much. Everything we needed was there. Christel is very nice and also very easy to reach by phone. There is a lot to do in the area and you can enjoy the great nature on the islands in front. We were lucky that a parking space was available right in front of the house, but there are also other parking spaces in the area.

Great place to stay in a great setting! Everything was as expected and better, we were 4 adults and 4 children who all slept well. The children were super happy for all the toys and the playground outside. We would be glad to come back!

We stayed at Peter’s place for three nights, at the end of our holiday in Sweden. The house wing has a great location, it is at a very short walking distance to the sea (public jetty for swimming), you can see the sea through the trees from one of the upper bedrooom windows - a beautiful sight especially at sunset. Again at short walking distance, you find a small harbour with a fantastic local bakery and some restaurants (those were, however, closed at the end of August). The house wing is beautifully decorated, has all amenities required and was sparkling clean. We also enjoyed the sunny terrace, surrounded by beautiful flowers and were happy to be able to use the outside grill for a barbecue. Peter and his wife were very welcoming hosts and extremely easy and friendly to communicate with.

We had a nice stay at Marcus farm. The kids enjoyed the big garden and the cats that they could cuddle there. It was fine to cook both in the small kitchen and on the grill. Everything was to your satisfaction.

Great! A very nice cabin with plenty of space and everything needed for a great stay. Access to the super cozy garden at the front but barbecue and nice flowers! Jarkko is really nice and helpful. Thanks again!

An incredibly nice place to stay with an amazing host! The house was cozy, homely and very well equipped – especially the kitchen and bathroom which was really nice. I felt at home right away and enjoyed myself so much throughout the stay. Will definitely book again next time I'm in Västervik. Highly recommended!

Christoph has a lovely little place close to Borgholm. It was easy to communicate with Christoph and he always responded promptly. We were given very clear instructions how to find the home and how to get in. The bedroom/lounge was spacious and the kitchen has all the things you need plus a few extras. In addition Christoph allowed my parents to park their caravan on his grounds for a small additional fee and he even put out extra towels for them in the house. We all had a lovely time.

We were passing through and looking for a quiet place. The place was perfect for this, a beautiful spot on earth. You can also imagine a longer stay here. The kitchen is sufficient for the essentials and was fine with us. We would love to come back again to enjoy the peace and recharge in nature.

Great accommodations at Suzanne's place. Really cozy little cottage with everything you need. You live right on the border of a fantastic nature reserve with dreamy beech forests, must see and walk in!

Some really lovely and relaxing days in Marie's guesthouse. The cabin is located in an absolutely stunning setting with lots of wildlife and direct access to water amenities. At the same time, a short distance to Kalmar and the old city's sights. The cabin had nice facilities to cook and more and good sleeping places - not so much living space, so best in good weather where the porch can be enjoyed both by morning sun and evening sun. Marie and Lars were very welcoming, friendly and helpful.

Very nice and modern farmhouse with plenty of room for 4 adults who went to a concert nearby. Small patio facing the host's property that was used a lot! Clear instructions on out and check in.

We have had nice days on Öland. It was a good starting point to stay here if you want to travel around the southern part of Öland. Nice little harbor in Stora Rör that we could walk down to, also walk through beautiful forest down to a small beach. Mårten and Anna were really nice and the little house was nice and fresh and suited the two of us perfectly. Highly recommend them. Thank you:-) / Maria and Jörgen

The accommodation was so cozy. Located in a quiet and lovely rural environment. We really felt at home and both Erica and her partner were very nice to talk to. We will gladly return to this cozy house.

The view is magical! We really liked the cabin. Luckely we got some sheets and towels with us, as they were not included. Otherwise all was there! We were able to bike around. Which was really fun to take the ferry (only pedestrians and bikers) nearby to Kalmar.

We enjoyed staying with Agnetha and Jan very much. A nice cozy cottage in a quiet and secluded location and Agnetha was very helpful if you had any questions. The sauna was a highlight.

Very affordable and simple accommodation in the basement of a private home with a very helpful, friendly and pleasant host, even when I managed to mess up my arrival, at an "odd" time!! Clean and fresh, close to everything in Kalmar, I took care of myself and everything basic was available for a good, quiet night's sleep, a shower and a cup of coffee in the morning! Highly recommend Henrik as a host if you are going to stay in Kalmar! Will gladly come back!

Clean apartment & a good location for excursions. By car, you can quickly reach hiking trails & shopping/restaurants are also no longer than 10 minutes away. (By car). The view is a matter of taste, of a golf course,but we were only at home for the night anyway. Otherwise great communication and there was everything you need.

The AirBnb of the two is wonderful: I felt comfortable from the first moment. Communication is very, very friendly and super fast (the two are always available and help me with everything). Everything in the accommodation is exactly as described and sparkling clean. It really is a dream.

We felt at home! The flowers, water, sweets with a nice greeting were so great. The house is new, very clean, well equipped. The terrace and the garden are also very nice. You can highly recommend this. The washing machine with dryer function was also great!!!! Questions were answered immediately and very friendly. Everything is great!!!

Eric is a very friendly host. Fast in response to messages. Was kind to let my children play in the yard. The cottage was very clean. Would recommend.

Clean and tidy. There is everything you need. Close to beach and downtown. If I visit Kalmar more times, I am happy to stay here again. The only thing I can point out is the bed, which squeaked a little too much when you turned in it. Communication with the host was excellent. Quick answers if you had any questions.

It was very easy to find and take a warm shower after a rainy bike ride. Marc is very quick to respond to questions via chat. The apartment is as clean as you can imagine for a family with two children and two cats. The kitchen has everything you need. The big disadvantage is that the kitchen and especially the bathroom are not in the stuga, but in the main house. I have already given 3 stars for value for money in a similar setting for a similar price, here I give 4, because the family is very nice and accommodating and also includes laundry and dryer. You could also give 5, considering that it is often difficult to find cheap accommodation in more remote places in Sweden, but I don't know these circumstances well enough to include it. Overall, however, however, staying with Marc and Esther.
