Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Iceland

Absolutely amazing spot & even better hosts. My husband and I came to Iceland for a vow renewal after having to change our wedding plans due to COVID 5 years ago (we originally planned an elopement in Iceland), and Anthony went above and beyond to make sure we had the best time, and we did! Overall, this was an absolutely outstanding stay. Every single thing we needed was managed quickly & Anthony went beyond anything we could have asked to take care of us. Plus, the airbnb itself was so charming. Definitely recommend if looking for a quaint port town close the Reykjavik! I wouldn’t come here for a more isolated experience or to get away from the hustle of Reykjavik, but I think the port town was a great alternative to staying in Reykjavik itself.

We loved our stay here, the place was super clean and comfortable for our family of 5. The decor and furnishings were so lovely, we loved all the details. The upstairs and chess board were a fun spot! Highly recommend this place!

House is very comfortable and cozy. Beds and beddings were amazing! Kitchen is well equipped, house has a big open space. :) Neighbors are unique: dog, cat, sheep and horses. It was a perfect stay!

Our stay at Skeid2 was simply perfect—surrounded by stunning scenery and packed with everything you could possibly need for a cozy escape. Fantastic experience! One tiny mishap: we lost the main door key (oops!). But the hosts? Absolute legends. They handled it with such grace, didn’t even charge us, and just smiled it off. Talk about hospitality! It felt less like a rental and more like a warm welcome from old friends. Highly recommended if you're chasing peace, views, and good vibes.

Absolutely amazing Airbnb, well worth the money!! It is in a beautiful location with incredible views. The house is very well maintained and beautifully designed. Everything is spotlessly clean. The house was a bit warm when we arrived. However, the windows have screens so they can be opened easily to let in air without letting bugs in. There’s also fans in the bedrooms, so it was very comfortable and easy to cool down the house as needed.

Very nice house, perfect for a family, in beautiful surroundings. It's off the beaten path--you have to leave the larger road and take a gravel one for a while to get here, but the upshot is that it's very peaceful. Ingi was always quickly responsive whenever I had a question. Everything was high quality, no issues with things looking pretty but feeling cheap that we've experienced with some other Airbnbs.

This place is a dream. The pictures absolutely do not do it justice. The surroundings, the interior, and the great communication made our stay an exceptional experience. We hope we can return someday to our new favorite place in the world.

Breathtaking views, extremely clean. Has plenty of pots & pans to cook at home if preferred. Looks exactly like the pictures. Very comfortable spot for the down time we had in between adventures. Hot tub was an awesome addition. Thank you so much!

Jona’s home is excellent in every way. It is so nice inside. Everything is clean, comfortable, well maintained, and really cozy. Moreover, the property is incredible. It is very peaceful and very beautiful! The views are incredible - hills, mountains, horses, the ocean... It’s the perfect place to relax after a day of adventures, and you are sure to sleep well in the quiet nature. The location is also perfectly situated in the middle of all places you can go adventuring (for example, zodiac boats in the glacier lagoon are nearby and snowmobiling on the glacier is nearby). I’d highly recommend staying here!

From the airport 10 minutes by car, the flat is ideal for the first accommodation in the evening, yet quiet. We had everything we needed there and it was just 300 metres on foot to a small, well-stocked supermarket

Olafsvik is very cute! The airbnb is great and the kitchen has everything youd need for breakfast or a quick dinner. Its so conveniently located right on the main street which makes it easy to go for an evening walk around the town. We got so lucky with good weather in June which meant it was sunny all day—since the sun never set it was also light out at “night”. If there was one thing we missed it was blackout curtains—but honestly we were having such a great time during the day hiking and sightseeing we were able to sleep okay. Great stay!! So happy we stayed here for our trip to the Snaefellsnes peninsula.

Perfect place to stay- SUPER close to the airport for late night arrivals (like us) or early departures. Beautiful view. Very spacious and clean. Highly recommend.

The room is quite large and the location is easy to find

We had an exceptional stay here at Myvtan. The unit was well appointed, tastefully decorated with local influences and crafts. The owners are wonderful people and take pride in their home and business. I would highly recommend the space.

Location location location!!! We couldn’t have asked for a better spot to be in. You’re steps away from the historic church, and real close walking distance to multiple bakeries and restaurants! There was also adequate free street parking. Unlike other reviews we found the home very clean, it smelt good, and extremely spacious! This was the biggest air b n b (plus large shower) that we had in Iceland! Hot water was consistent, no issues. Slight sulfur smell in the water which is almost everywhere throughout the city. Karen made the check in process super easy and convenient with detailed instructions, she was also extremely attentive :) A big plus is the heated floors! This was a huge bonus for cold chilly days. Will absolutely recommend this location to anyone wanting to visit the city center!

Very well equipped and comfortable space. Good kitchen, plenty of hot water for showers and a comfy bed.

Great stay! Spacious and exactly how it was described. Definitely a struggle to find the parking but everything else was great!

Very nice stay at Unnur’s home. New, clean and well equipped one bedroom. Location is in a fairly congested area but well situated for the travels we were doing. Unnur was very responsive to questions and gave us good input on things to do. We had a great 3 days in Iceland.

Very spacious and comfortable for our family of 4. Beautiful house, we cooked dinner and the espresso machine was full of great coffee beans. Enjoyed Netflix after dinner. Hosts were friendly and proactive. Thank you.

WOW! what an amazing place to stay!!!! I have endless things to say about our experience here. the views and surroundings were immaculate. so peaceful and such a wonderful way to wake up in the mornings. everything was so clean and the rooms / beds were so comfortable. the bonus was the little spa area, the facilities were so clean and amazing. plenty of room to change, bathroom, showers, sauna. and the outdoor waterfall hot tubs were perfect temperature while it was cold outside. I would 100% stay here again!
