Wonderful weekend in Dwarsgracht, despite the rain We had a fantastic weekend in the cottage on the Dwarsgracht, despite the weather not always cooperating. The cottage was comfortable and cozy, and the location is beautiful — even with rain it is enjoyable in this area. What really made the stay special was Eva's hospitality. She was incredibly relaxed and open, even with our animal gang. We immediately felt welcome and comfortable. It's so nice when you come somewhere and find that you are not only tolerated, but really seen and appreciated. Thank you Eva, for your warmth and hospitality! We'd love to come back — hopefully with some more sun next time. 🌦️🐾

Our stay at Eva's was all around beautiful! The accommodation was furnished with love and really cozy. You can walk to the city center in 5 minutes, to the train station in 15 minutes. We felt very comfortable!

Typical Dutch cottage – charming, cosy and exactly as described. We felt very comfortable. The only small point: we would have found a microwave practical at times. The location is ideal as a starting point for bike tours in all directions. Highly recommend for those seeking tranquility and nature!

Overall a lovely stay in a very well located place. Kitchen was clean and had a large dishwasher which was helpful with children in tow. Full bath was lovely. Caretaker was friendly and a pleasure to work with. A really cool guy who furnished the place with personal, artistic touches. Groningen was so easy to explore on a rental bakfiets. Grocery, restaurants, parks and cultural places minutes from the apartment. Wish we had access to the washer/dryer given we were traveling with children. Bath was not operational due to a leak needing investigation through no fault of the caretakers doing, but would have made bathing children easier. Overall would highly recommend. Edwin was so friendly and oriented us during our check in. Groningen beats the bustle of the Randstad any day!

We spend a wonderful weekend there with friends. The location is lovely and quiet, but close to lots of activities in the area. Perfect place to stay, we'll definitely come here again.

It was a pleasure to stay in this place. The nature surrounding the house and the idyllic atmosphere of the house. Clara recommended some restaurants, within walking distance (1.2 kilometers), and it was so nice. Only thing we could have wished for, was that the different information in the house, would be in English as well 😊. Would not hesitate to book this house again

It was just great! One of the most beautiful accommodations we have visited so far. With so much attention to detail, Janet and Auke have created a feel-good oasis that leaves nothing to be desired. A wonderful place to relax, recharge your batteries and enjoy both the beautiful home and the surroundings to the fullest. The Blue House is really something very special. Mieke and Arnold have decorated it very nicely and it is perfectly equipped! I immediately felt very comfortable and enjoyed my stay very much! If I ever come back to Giethoorn, I will definitely want to stay here again 🥰

Beautiful and clean Airbnb. Anything you need is present. Communication with Yvonne is great, she responds quickly. You have your own entrance and garden, and plenty of privacy.

We greatly enjoyed this stay. It is a beautiful cottage with fantastic views. Breakfast is perfect. Furthermore, we have also experienced the contact with Jitske as very pleasant. Tips: enjoy a bubble bath in the jacuzzi, rent bikes to explore the area and take a walk along the Barefoot Path! We will definitely come back 😇

Ideal place as a starting point to explore Assen! The airbnb is spacious, clean and quiet. Good value for money. The centre of Assen is within walking distance +/-15min. The asserbos is in the backyard and there are plenty of activities in the area.

Hil provides a very spacious ground floor apartment with a fully enclosed rear courtyard for your enjoyment. The amenities are awesome, including washer/dryer, steam oven, microwave, and dishwasher. Highly recommend this apartment and its very central location. Thanks Hil.

It was a wonderful stay and will definitely come back! I had booked for 1 night and booked an extra night because I wanted to enjoy it a little longer. It was like coming home, a natural farm feeling, even got to bottle a young sheep :-) and fresh eggs from their chickens at the delicious breakfast. Roelie and her husband are very nice people with whom I feel comfortable, they think with you and help you make your stay as pleasant as possible. The forests with old trees and bamboos are nearby, by car you are there in about 5 minutes and shops and restaurants are also nearby. The residence is connected to a beautiful garden with various seating areas, also under a canopy. The bedstead sleeps wonderfully, nice and nostalgic. This place is highly recommended if you want to unwind. And the price/quality ratio is perfect!

Jannie and Arnold were great hosts, Arnold met us when we drove in and showed us the house. They gave us tips for restaurants in the area and supplied is with everything we needed for our night stay. The place is beautiful and peaceful, 10 minutes drive from Groningen. Would recommend for a peaceful weekend away.

Had a great stay! Great location within walking distance of central Groningen. Very clean and cosy. Loved the little patio. We hope we can come back soon.

Due to my husband's work, we stayed in the accommodation of Dennis and his family for 7 weeks, who live in the main part of the house. The property is very quietly located. For those who love it like us it's perfect. You only need a car or bike for weekly shopping as there are no shops in the village. The rooms are small and each has a dresser in it. The bathroom, on the other hand, is very spacious, you absolutely have to ventilate after each shower, otherwise it smells something special. The kitchen and living room are very inviting to linger. Unfortunately, the garden was always very wet due to the weather, which is why we can't tell much about it. Behind the house there is a very nice playground and picnic areas. There are plenty of great ways to walk. We made trips to Groningen, Veemdam, Assen and even Amsterdam. We enjoyed it very much. Dennis and his family were incredibly nice!

I had a great time, the place was very clean, great location, close to city and train station and local shops/museums etc. It felt very homely.

We had a wonderful time at Ruben's Appt. Looking forward to our next stay there.

We had a great long weekend in Emden. The accommodation is very nice, spacious, great details and above all the kitchen is excellently equipped - with everything you could need (coffee, East Frisian tea and other teas, spices, cling film, etc.) and also plenty of dishes and equipment!
