The life rhythm in the cottage is basic, close to nature in a wonderful hiking and cycling area, in a large, nature-rich place: vegetable garden, newly created food forest, flower gardens & pond are ecologically managed. There are a few pets (dog, cat, chickens, walking duck, bees). The refrigerator is underground and the composting toilet an experience in itself. The whole is made as environmentally friendly as possible and an invitation to live simply while respecting nature. There's a wood stove.

Tiny House in the Groningen meadows

Enjoy a wonderful relaxing stay in the Tiny House between the animals in the Groningen meadows. The cottage is in the middle of the nature reserve 'Ae's Woudbloem’ and you can find a huge number of beautiful cycling/hiking trips there. In addition, from the cottage you have beautiful views of Groningen and you can enjoy your holiday/weekend away with peace and quiet. In the cozy Zuidlaren is our B&B Berend Bedje. Breakfast can be booked for €15 per person per night. Are you walking the Pieterpad? Then you only have to walk 9 minutes. The center of Groningen can be reached by bus or car within 20 minutes. Looking for peace and nature? Then you can enjoy hiking and cycling beautifully over the Drentsche Aa National Park. The B&B is a detached cottage of 34m2. By means of a sofa bed, it is possible to stay with 4 people. Welcome!

The Tribe: special loft in elementary school

Make some memories at this unique and family-friendly place. We converted the auditorium of the school in which we live as a family, together with an artist, into a special loft with 3 bedrooms. Downstairs are play corners for children and guests are allowed to use the gym where CrossFit lessons are also provided. Behind the school is a great place with sandpit and picnic table where you look out over the Groningen fields. Relax while your children enjoy themselves!

B and (B) Op Steendam, the Front House

A stylishly furnished B&B, you stay in the restored front house from 1912. During the renovation, the history and the authentic colors of the early 20th century were taken into account. The B&B has its own toilet and bathroom. There is a small pantry with a fridge, kettle, toaster and a Nespresso machine. There's plenty of closet space for your clothes. The bedroom has a bed with 2 pcs. 80×200 cm mattresses and there is a sofa bed for 2 pers. in the sitting room.

You'll love sitting on the covered terrace under the grape bushes with a glass of wine and a good book. You can eat the grapes and maybe there is a zucchini or other fruit or fruit waiting for you from the greenhouse or vegetable garden.
