In the cottage, you live a basic life, close to nature in a beautiful hiking and cycling area, in a large, nature-rich place: vegetable garden, newly planted food forest, flower gardens & pond are ecologically managed. There are a few pets (dog, cat, chickens, walking duck, bees). The refrigerator is underground and the composting toilet an experience in itself. The whole is made as environmentally friendly as possible and an invitation to live simply while respecting nature. There is a wood-burning stove.

The B&B is an apartment with its own entrance, private shower/toilet room, and is within cycling distance of the station in Veendam, from where the train leaves for the beautiful city of Groningen. There is also a lot to see in the province itself. However, after a busy day, you will always return to the tranquility and space of B&B HoutStee. You can relax under the veranda, enjoy bird sounds. Possibly in good weather, use the BBQ. Everything is available for this. You also have 2 bicycles at your disposal.

Wonderful loft Woldmeer

In this stylish and unique accommodation surrounded by nature and with the city of Groningen around the corner (center 8 km), you will find our Airbnb. You have stunning views over the Woldmeer. It is attractively furnished and has all the comforts such as a private bathroom, pantry with fridge, microwave, private coffee and tea. You'll sleep on the spacious loft under the sloping wooden roof in a lovely double bed. Downstairs is a lounge/sofa bed and a cozy table to eat at.

The cottage is in the middle of the nature reserve "Ae's Woudbloem" and you can find a lot of beautiful bike/hiking trips. A stylishly furnished B&B, you stay in the restored front house from 1912. During the renovation, the history and the authentic colors of the early 20th century were taken into account. The B&B has its own toilet and bathroom. There is a small pantry with a fridge, kettle, toaster and a Nespresso machine. There's plenty of closet space for your clothes. The bedroom has a bed with 2 pcs. 80×200 cm mattresses and there is a sofa bed for 2 pers. in the sitting room.

Groningen Rural nature house near city

Relax wonderfully in this green oasis near the city of Groningen. Fully furnished single-level guest house for 2. You'll love sitting on the covered terrace under the grape bushes with a glass of wine and a good book. You can eat the grapes and maybe there is a zucchini or other fruit or fruit waiting for you from the greenhouse or vegetable garden. In the house is a nice large sofa and desk with good wifi and great views over the lands.

Our small chalet lies in the middle of the most beautifull nature of the Netherlands: the National Park of the Drentsche Aa and the Unesco Geopark of the Hondsrug, on a very quiet camping. It is furnished light and harmonious. The house is suitable for couples and singles, not for children. Overnight stay with 2 persons maximum. No pets. Non smoking (except on the terrace).
