In front of our house, which is sandwiched between the Hida-Buri Highway that connects the former Toyama and Takayama, there are the Nissho-bu Mingei Kan and the Yoshima residence, which are important cultural properties that show the rich cultural assets of Japan, and this area is designated as a preservation district for traditional buildings. You can enjoy the old town and beautiful scenery while experiencing historic buildings. It is a 2-minute walk to Miyagawa Morning Market and a 5-minute walk to Sakurayama Hachimangu Shrine, the site of the autumn Takayama Festival. The festival stall in this area is called Hōmeita, and it has a variety of decorations such as a palanquin and sculptures (1-minute walk to the stall). This is an old house built 221 years ago, located in the center of Tsumago-juku. The 20-tatami living room has a sunken hearth (currently unavailable) and you can enjoy the old Japanese private house. There are 3 bedrooms, so you can stay with a large number of people, such as family and friends. No meals are provided. You are welcome to use the full kitchen freely. There is a backyard at the end of the dirt floor that continues from the entrance, and you can walk around freely. Equipped with WiFi and an automatic lifting table, teleworking is also possible for long-term stays. Please have a relaxing time in this quiet old house. We look forward to seeing you ！

Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.

Tokuto is a newly renovated private mansion built in the 1940s on Teshima. It is conveniently located about 15mins walk from Ieura Port. Enjoy the luxurious architecture of the past, such as the authentic hand blown window glass, Onigawara (Japanese gargoyle roof tiles), and the beautiful gardens with an abundance of stone lanterns. The building consists of 2 villas, King Villa & Queen Villa. As a measure against infectious diseases, we accept one group for each building.

Also it has a Japanese style garden where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery just sitting on the tatami. The house is 25 min bus ride from Hakone-Yumoto. From the nearest bus stop, Midorinomura-Iriguchi, it's about 2 min walk. It is also very close (3min bus ride) to Sounzan, the terminal of the Hakone rope way.
