You can enjoy the old town and beautiful scenery while experiencing historic buildings. It is a 2-minute walk to Miyagawa Morning Market and a 5-minute walk to Sakurayama Hachimangu Shrine, the site of the autumn Takayama Festival. The festival stall in this area is called Hōmeita, and it has a variety of decorations such as a palanquin and sculptures (1-minute walk to the stall). We have preserved the structure of the pre-war building and rebuilt the water system. Staying in an old house allows you to experience a different kind of life than your usual daily routine. There is antique stained glass, washi paper lamps designed by Isamu Noguchi, and the master bedroom has a Simmons mattress and Muji bedding. The bedding in the tatami room was specially prepared with thicker mattresses based on feedback from previous guests. We hope this will allow you to rest more comfortably and enjoy a pleasant stay.
