Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Höfn

The directions to the house and check in were very easy. The house was exactly what I expected for the price. It's basic, but clean and tidy. Our party rented the full property which worked well for us. There is ample parking for more than one vehicle.

We absolutely loved our time here and only wish we could have stayed longer. The setting is incredibly peaceful, with breathtaking views in every direction—perfect for relaxing and taking in the beauty of Iceland’s countryside. One of the highlights was getting to visit with the adorable sheep and their lambs, as well as the playful goats and their kids. It was such a joy to watch them and learn about life on the farm. The hosts were so welcoming and made us feel right at home, giving us the freedom to explore and enjoy the surroundings. In the evenings, we loved cozying up in the comfortable house and gazing out at the vast, quiet landscape. It truly felt like a retreat from the world. If you’re looking for an authentic Icelandic countryside experience with kind hosts, incredible animals, and stunning views, this is the place! Highly recommend staying more than one night—you won’t want to leave.

Great location outside Höfn, 3-5 min to grocery and restaurants. Perfect space for 2 families.

This place is truly one of a kind, the road that takes you to the home and lighthouse is worth it on its own. We stayed here for two nights, after getting a great recommendation from heiða we spent the entire second day hiking in the beautiful nature surrounding this place. The home has everything you can think of and really makes you feel you are welcome there. This is a truly special place we will always remember and can recommend to anyone that wants to be connected with nothing but nature, kind people and not to forget, the cute animals all around!

Nice place, very friendly host

Gorgeous apartment and serene setting. Plenty of space for our family of four. The best place we’ve stayed and we’ve been in Iceland for almost a week. We also drove out to see the puffins, which was a highlight. Definitely recommend!

We had a great stay. The apartment was spacious, very clean, and thoughtfully set up for guests. It was especially helpful to have a washing machine and a large clothes airer. The hosts really went the extra mile by providing small bottles of shampoo and conditioner, cotton buds, cotton pads, and even women’s hygiene products. It’s clear they’ve put a lot of thought into anticipating what guests might need. The location was also convenient, with a large Bonus supermarket nearby. Would definitely recommend.

Your place was the perfect home base for us to explore. The comfortable home has great access to a beautiful shoreline walk, and we really wished we had more time to stay. If you are looking for a relaxed stay in an apartment with a really pretty view on the mountains, look no further. All amenities are really clean and everything you could need is there.

This is our third year in a row to travel in Iceland, and this is our favorite Airbnb in Iceland. 6 stars if that could be possible!Charming layout. Great kitchen with views of the harbor and the sleeping level above was cleverly arranged. For some the tight spiral staircase might be a deal breaker. And it is an adventure to navigate in the middle of the night! We were also charmed by this town. Breakfast next door at the Foodcoop was excellent as well.

I loved this place! So cozy and private, and in a gorgeous setting. Lots of space for our stuff (it was just me and my husband on a 10-day road trip). But the best part was our host, Hrafnhildur. There was some really bad weather in Iceland during our trip, and she proactively reached out to make sure we were ok and to offer advice and assurances. We were so grateful! It was amazing, after a somewhat stressful drive, to arrive at our cozy little apartment and just relax and enjoy. Awesome stay, highly recommend!!

Very spacious and comfortable for our family of 4. Beautiful house, we cooked dinner and the espresso machine was full of great coffee beans. Enjoyed Netflix after dinner. Hosts were friendly and proactive. Thank you.

A lovely spacious apartment on the east coast.

Very nice stay , clean and looks exactly like photos shared in Airbnb , host is very helpful, she has kept all necessary things in kitchen, it is near to main road , even has washing machine.

Renovations were very nice. Very clean. Would definitely stay again. Bring your own shower soaps etc, none provided.
