A rustic and homely house on a remote sheep farm

Aðalheiður is a wonderful host out of all the Airbnbs I have been to. She is extremely friendly, considerate and quite supportive through our stay. She even left a message to check if everything is ok, as she realised we didn’t check in before midnight as we are driving from south Iceland. She is quite communicative and does respond quickly whenever we have a question. She even left a message to call her even though it is late in the night if we need anything. The place is amazing with beautiful surroundings. The place is so peaceful with breathtaking views. We had the previlige to play and spend time with her amazing sheep and horses.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this Airbnb in Höfn, Iceland. The accommodation was clean, cozy, and beautifully decorated, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. This was truly one of the best Airbnbs we stayed at during our trip to Iceland! The house was incredibly cosy, clean, and welcoming — perfect for relaxing after long days of exploring. Another huge plus was the free parking right at the doorstep — so convenient! We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Iceland.

Elsa greeted us from the start and gave us a full tour of the facilities (the place we were staying + guest kitchen + hot tub + washing area). The place is absolutely lovely and Elsa was so friendly. Highlights were meeting her cat, playing Elsa's old CDs on the kitchen sound system, enjoying the hot tub under the stars, and having Elsa's homemade bread for breakfast. Thank you so much for the stay Elsa!

Great stopover during our trip, well renovated kitchen and bathroom. Responsive hosts, well described and good value. Great for our family stay and the kids loved the in ground trampoline. One bedroom lacks a window which ends up being good for providing elusive darkness in the summer though with less airflow. Location in quiet neighborhood close enough to walk to the town and easy access to the highway.

Just nice for 6 pax staying here. 2 in each bedroom and 2 more in the sofa bed which is spacious enough for 2 grown men height approximately 175cm. The highlight for this accommodation would be walkable distance to the lake with beautiful snow mountain as background that reflects onto the lake! 3 mins walk to the church for insta photos. Accommodated us quite well despite reaching the place at 1am

Elsa and magnus, both came out to greet me.And elsa took over from there inviting me to use the kitchen and where everything was in the house.If I needed it. She also brought down homemade bread in the morning for breakfast, which was lovely. I love dogs and their two dogs were a delight.

We checked in very late around midnight, and I really appreciated the host’s flexibility. The apartment was easy to find, and the living room, kitchen, bathroom, and bedrooms were pristine, making it feel like home. It was especially comforting after hours of driving in the dark on gravel roads. The washer/dryer was a huge help after a wet day out, allowing us to clean and dry our clothes. Overall, a great stay!

A great house in Hofn. We loved it and were so comfortable that we would have liked to stay longer. It's not the typical AirBnB home-business. It looks like the real house where the owners live with all its comforts and belongings. You feel like you are in the house of a friend who has lent you his house for a few days. Thank you for everything.
