Glacier stay

Jökla Gisting is located in a quiet place surrounded by glaciers and beautiful nature, 11 km from Höfn. In winter, the air and colours are incredibly crisp, and the Northern Lights are a common sight in the area. We offer accommodation in three houses that are fully equipped with everything guests need. Wild reindeer sometimes visit and roam in the peaceful nature nearby. The glacier attracts people, and there are various glacier tours available nearby. Sledding, hiking and ice cave tours are popular.

The Hillock

The price is for the four bed flat. You have the the whole flat. The flat of 37 m2 is with four full size beds and new floors. You hire it whole, nobody else will be there. There is hall with a closet, a bedroom with two separate beds that can be put together. Living room with full size bunk bed There is a pantry, well equipped. The little bathroom with a shower is completely renewed. The apartment is very well located in Höfn with 5 minutes walking to swimming pool and 8 min to the grocery.

Lower apartment 2. 28km from the Glacier Lagoon

At the heart of Vatnajökull National Park, and only a short drive from the world famous Glacier lagoon,Jökulsárlón (28km) is Neðribær apartment. Neðribær is in a 2 apartment house with private entrance. Many activities in the area such as snowmobiling, glacier jeeps and glacier walk adventure on Europe´s largest glacier, kayaking, puffins tours, boat tours, ice cave tours (winter) and horseback riding. The nearest supermarket is in Höfn (35min drive). FOR MAXIMUM 3 GUESTS. No exceptions!

Birkifell winter cabin

A small and cozy cabin in the quiet of the countryside, just under a mountain with a beautiful glacier as it's neighbor. With two bedrooms, one double bed and two single beds, dining and sitting area, with t.v and free wifi, well equipt kitchen. Large patio with outdoor furniture and bbq. Ideal for a quiet holiday in the countryside with beautiful hiking grounds, a geothermal hot tubs a short walk away and nature all around, and spectacular view of the northen lights during winter.

Haukaberg House

Our house is located in a quiet residential area, a cozy and bright house made from wood. We offer comfortable beds and quality bedding. The kitchen is fully equipped and you should be able to find everything you need. In our area you can find guided glacier and riding tours. You could visit Vestrahorn and go to the Hot tubs in Hoffell. Other fascinating places that we recommend are Fláajökull, Heinabergsjökull and Hoffellsjökull. Suitable for big groups / families.

This property is 16 miles / 25 km from Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon. The next town with groceries and gas stations is 34 miles / 55 km and is called Höfn í Hornafirði.

Aurora Cabins

The house is located about 3km from Höfn, overlooking mountains and glaciers. Ideal for families or those traveling together. The houses can accommodate four adults. One child under 12 years stays free of charge when using existing beds. Free wifi is available on-site.
