Modern comfortable and self contained living space

AlRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Definitely one of our favourite airbnb stays. Firstly, because the bed was super comfortable and the power shower very welcome after a long day of walking. Secondly, because the kitchenette with laundry facilities, coupled with local corner shops made this a wondefully relaxed place to stay on the English Coastal Path. We were glad we elected to stay for two nights and had no trouble with buses to and from Maldon, which was our onward destination. I would strongly recommend this airbnb to anyone walking the coast or just wanting to explore this lovely part of Essex more generally.

Church House Maldon

Susan was a great communicator and her little house was simply but stylishly decorated. A great spot to stay in Maldon. Quiet, close to the water but easy walking into town. Perfect.

This guest house is absolutely lovely. Clean spacious and there’s so much to do in the local area We had such a lovely time there the only downside to it is the fact that the church bells ring on the hour every hour.

Hilltop views - The Bailey Suite

This place was perfect, I literally cannot fault it any way. Robert greeted us on arrival and was warm and friendly, he also helped with the local taxi company. The property itself was immaculate with everything you could ask for. An easy 5 star recommendation!

Summer House at Steeple Bay

Lovely little place, was immaculately clean and had everything we needed. It was great to have the BBQ and seating outside so we could enjoy the sun. It was also good to have the passes for the clubhouse and pool. Our little one loved the Disney theme, especially all the Stitch items. Area is very peaceful, great views across the estuary. All the staff on site were very friendly and helpful, we had a great break.

Acorn lodge, one bedroom lodge with onsite parking

NormaRating, 5 stars8 months ago
A caring couple in an idyllic setting that only lacks a freezer compartment in the fridge. This minor problem is totally overridden by the helpfulness and geniality of our hosts and the oh so comfy bed and sofa! They also fixed anything we needed as promptly as they could and went beyond normal limits. Btw the property has a toaster that really rocks. I do love toast and theirs was an ace one!. The running ducks and chickens were brilliant and we loved the private back garden and night star gazing with no light pollution. It's's well worth the fee. Martyn and Kim are super duper hosts. ☺️

Sailing Barge Reminder, Hythe Quay

We had a fantastic weekend away to celebrate my friend getting married. The boat was perfect for a large group and we made liberal use of the well equipped kitchen. Access to the boat was a bit tricky for a person with poor mobility, but thankfully that wasn't a problem for us, but something to consider perhaps. The social areas of the boat, the rooms and the deck were all clean, tidy and matched the pictures pwrfectly and the sturdy hull kept the noise in while we played cards and sang along to our favourite tunes. We went kayaking over in West Mersea and had a few nice walks too. Maldon is very picturesque and all the local people we met were also super friendly and helpful . Thanks to our hosts for a super trip!
