De Oude Smederij

Enjoy and relax in the Frisian countryside? This is possible with us in De Oude Smederij, which was formerly a forge but has been completely renovated into a comfortable vacation home. The Oude Smederij is located in an agricultural area on the outskirts of the village of Arum (on the Elfsteden route) and is centrally located between Harlingen (on the Wadden Sea with ferry services to Vlieland and Terschelling), Franeker (Planetarium and Frisian Museum), Bolsward (Broerekerk) and Makkum, located on the IJsselmeer with boulevard and beach.

Idyllic cottage for yourself in Giethoorn

This cute white cottage with a thatched roof is like from a fairy tale book! As if you really live in authentic Giethoorn. (North) The boats can be rented from the neighbors and the beautiful bridges can be found only a 6-minute walk away. This is where Giethoorn originated, and the oldest cottages line the path. No crowds of tourists. (They're in Giethoorn Zuid.) Here, you can still enjoy the wonderful tranquillity and beauty of the historic village of Giethoorn. Unfortunately not suitable for infants/children from 0 to 8.

Hanzekop 1 House with a view of the IJsselmeer-NL

Tastefully decorated vacation home with a spacious terrace and views over the IJsselmeer. Please note when booking: The annual Stavers festival will take place on the nearby grounds, mid-June 2026. Also in July 2026, the 18th edition of the Stavoren fishing days will be held nearby. The exact dates are not yet known. It is a unique opportunity to experience these events, but they do cause noise pollution. If you are looking for peace and quiet, it is better to choose a different period. The Hanzekop team.

With a magnificent view over the countryside in the characteristic landscape of the Frisian Forests, it is wonderful to relax. Even from your bed, you can enjoy the great views and a beautiful sunrise. Who knows, you might spot deer, cows, birds and hares in the meadow. Enjoy the alpacas in the yard. The Landzicht is a great starting point to explore the area. Located near nature reserves, Drachten and the A7.

"Welkom in ons gezellige plekje in het hart van Sneek! Tussen de waterpoort en de watertoren staat onze smaakvol ingerichte stadsboerderij. Geniet van een comfortabel verblijf, op loopafstand van het historische centrum. Het huis beschikt over een moderne keuken, een comfortabele woonkamer met tv, twee slaapkamers en een badkamer met douche. Woning beschikt over een terras. Gratis wifi is aanwezig. This spacious, detached upstairs apartment has a sheltered roof terrace and a living room with lots of windows that offer views of the famous Oldehove and the green, water-rich Prinsentuin. The spacious kitchen has all the facilities to prepare a delicious meal. The house has 3 bedrooms, a crib and high chair, 3 toilets, 2 bathrooms. The Carriage House near Leeuwarden

Rural location on the Elfsteden route, on the edge of the Leeuwarder forest we rent out our "6 person coach house". The former coach house we have converted into a beautiful apartment and is next to our farm with private terrace on the south. Do you want to stay in a quiet environment where nature plays the main role then this apartment is for you. We, Ate and Gerda are owners since 2016 and have made our farm in Jelsum completely sustainable.

The Optimist - 5-person vacation home

The Optimist is one of the two houses we have. The Optimist has 2 bedrooms with 2 beds each. There is a sofa bed in the loft. The Optimist is located on open water and from the terrace you can sail to the Sneekermeer within 10 minutes. Cycling and hiking are also ideal here. Sneek and Joure are nearby and are very popular for shopping. There are many museums in the area. Parking is free on site and there is a charging point for electric cars.
