Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Hamburg-Mitte

Me and a friend stayed at Katja's house during two weeks for an internship at Loki-Schmidt Botanical Garden and we loved our stay! The neighborhood is green and calm, surrounded by beautiful houses and gardens. Several food stores are within walking distance, and it took us 20 min to walk to the botanical garden (which btw is well worth a visit!). The S-bahn is a 10-15 min walk away, and there is a bus station even closer. Katja was very friendly and helpful, and was quick to answer messages and requests. In the check-in instructions it wasn't straight forward how to reach the house, but at last I realized that the house can be located at the back of Katja's house (just walk to the left and around the back and you will find it). The house has a private entrance and a nice private little patio. We cooked a lot of food when we stayed at the house, and the kitchen contained everything we needed! We loved our stay and would absolutely recommend it! I hope I can come back soon!

Thomas is totally likeable and a very nice host. He was flexible with check-in, which was very convenient for us and we felt very comfortable in his cottage. Great location! We will be back, Thomas! 😊

Very nice accommodation and lovingly furnished, you feel right at home! The only thing I have to complain about is the district. This is not very busy right now. It takes about 30 minutes to get to Hamburg by bus, but it was completely fine. For the fact that you have the Öjendorfer See next door, a 5-minute walk away. Happy to come back! Perfect for dogs and humans :)

A nice little apartment, carefully decorated, in which we felt comfortable. Located in a rural environment, very pleasant and quiet. We would highly recommend it and we'll happily be back.

The studio is tip top downstairs at a beautiful family home in a green area. Mirko was a very nice and warm host, who you could always ask if anything did not work. The studio was very nice and new with dishwasher and washing machine and an Italian shower. High standard for a low price. Unfortunately, I didn't get along so well with the individual twin mattresses, because I'm used to sleeping in a double bed with a larger blanket, but I finally got used to it. I would like to come back, as such good studios are rare.

The apartment is a hidden gem! The room is beautiful and the neighborhood is quiet, but at th same time super close to the subway station and their are a lot of grocery stores, coffee shops, and restaurants close by.

We enjoyed the accommodation very much. The apartment was cozy and very quiet. The connections to the city are also good, as a bus stops almost directly in front of the house and there is also a subway station nearby. However, it is important to know that the bathroom is directly in the living room and is only separated by a curtain. In addition, the windows on the upper floor, where we slept, could not be darkened properly, which is why we always woke up very early. However, the value for money is definitely right and we would recommend this apartment!

Great, family-friendly house with a beautiful garden. We felt very comfortable. It was a wonderful experience, especially for our children (11, 4, 2). It never got boring and if it did, there was a small park with a playground right next door. We will be happy to come back.

Our experience in this accommodation was simply fantastic – the most beautiful accommodation we have ever had! The loving furnishings with the great accessories create a very special atmosphere in which you immediately feel right at home. Each room is designed with so much heart that you feel at home.  The hosts are really awesome: incredibly friendly, warm and always making sure that the guests lack nothing. You can immediately tell that hospitality is alive and well here. This accommodation is not for city lovers, but ideal for people who love it a little quieter and closer to nature. If you are looking for relaxation and recreation in an idyllic setting, you have come to the right place. We are thrilled and would come back anytime. You simply won't find better accommodation! It was a really nice stay

We were at André's place for the second time. It was like the first visit a year ago, everything was great. The accommodation is very clean, well maintained and equipped with everything you need for your stay. The children were happy about the new bed, it was much more comfortable than the couch last year. André is always approachable and takes care of you immediately if you need help. The apartment is just a few steps from the elevated railway, with which you can quickly explore the whole city. In the immediate vicinity, you will find all the shops you need. It's also nice to see that André takes the reviews to heart. Oropax were available if needed. We hardly noticed the noise, as we fell asleep tired after the long walks. We'd love to come back. Thank you André

Nice studio apartment. Well equipped kitchen, awesome shower and great outlook from the massive window.

We spent a nice weekend in Hamburg, we felt very comfortable in the apartment and due to the good location we could reach almost everything on foot.

This is a wonderful apartment. It is spacious, clean, and in a great location. We loved the apartment. Lot's of space, high ceilings, elevator, overall a beautiful apartment. We were lucky to find it. It is very close to the main shopping area of Hamburg, about a 5 minute walk to the city hall. The beautiful lakes that form the end of the Alster are just a few minutes walk. It's about a half hour walk to the harbor where all the Elbe tourist boats are. Or, you can take a cruise on the Alster from boats just a 5 minute walk from the apartment (we did an Elbe harbor cruise that was extraordinary, getting up close to the large container ships, seeing the huge cranes loading them, and right alongside some huge cruise ships; we didn't have time for the Alster, but these seemed interesting as well.) The street is closed to traffic and there are many nice restaurants (and an ice cream place) right out the front door, where you can eat outside on summer evenings.

This well-kept, charming apartment is centrally located yet quiet and full of personality. the owners have taken care to put their personal touch on every detail inside, which made is feel comfortable as soon as we arrived. perfect for your relaxed stay in Hamburg.

We felt incredibly comfortable in the sweet, very lovingly furnished apartment. The location was great. Absolutely quiet and not far from the Elbe beach. Beautiful. We searched in vain for the only baker, etc. nearby. But maybe we just didn't know the area well enough. ;-) We slept great and the bathtub did very well after a rainy day. The well-stocked fridge on arrival is absolutely not a matter of course and we were very pleased about it. We said goodbye with the words that we will see each other again. And that will be the case. We will definitely come back. Thanks to Mareile and her husband. :-)

we were received very empathetically by lia and her life partner. we found an apartment that exceeded our expectations: from a like apple to a newspaper, everything was available (things you wouldn't expect in a rented apartment)! thank you for welcome flowers and wine. Even a hot bottle was available. great connection to the bus and subway ... the way to downtown Hamburg was easy to manage (with the public and also with the bike brought with you) summa summarum: we felt well taken care of!

We had a wonderful time with Maria, we felt comfortable from the first minute. The place is very nice and quiet and only a short walk to the train station. I can highly recommend it to everyone.

Absolutely loved this place and the location! We have two toddlers and it was right by a playground, grocery store and amazing coffee shops. We never get any place on the first floor, but this was safe and private. Absolutely loved jt. And the hosts were so sweet and helpful. I embarrassingly couldn’t figure out how to work the shower and they very responsive and helpful. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

We felt super comfortable!

We had a great time at Lydia's. She is a very nice and friendly hostess. The apartment was very clean, bright and spacious. We would definitely stay again.

I was looking for a nice place to stay for our wedding day and relied on the extremely positive reviews here. And indeed, we can only agree with the 5-star ratings. • The hospitality and reception were excellent • The cleanliness was really remarkable • The equipment was as specified and everything in very good condition • The facility really matches the pictures and is very stylish • The environment is very green and quiet Regarding parking spaces, we had no difficulty finding one. We highly recommend this place.

We felt very comfortable in the apartment! There is a blind for the window in the shower (for those who are also asking😉). The garden is a dream and we sat in the sun in the afternoon for an hour or two and watched the chicken gang during their laps. The street was quite noisy during our visit. The windows are super insulated - when they are closed, it's completely unproblematic. But we slept with the window open and then it was quite noisy. Maybe this will be better due to the leaves on the trees in front of the window, but everything was still bare with us. 🙂 The contact with Christoph was super nice, friendly and uncomplicated both before and on site.
