Very good place to stay during the winter for cross country skiing. The shop is near the chalet and ski routes are very accesible by foot (10min). Bus is also possible to go to lillehammer and ski station. The village is very calm and nice.

This was the second time we came to Birgits cabin. It is a great place to explore the vast cross-country skiing tracks, but also to pop into the cute town of Lillehammer. The cabin itself is really cosy and comes with everything you need for a relaxing winter stay.

Nice spacious cottage for two people, good beds, nice veranda. Vidar welcomed us very kindly and took immediate action in case of leakage at the bath. More was within walking distance, great for swimming, but unfortunately the weather was not good, so we didn't.

We loved it here, the location was beautiful and the cabin was made warm and cozy for our arrival. Wish we’d booked a longer stay.

Nice house on a local farm. It was a perfect stay for just one night. We visited the Åndalsnes Rampestreken from here, beautiful area! The house was clean, nice beds and quite a new bathroom. The kitchen felt a bit old/basic but was fine.

Simple cabin with enough to make a basic meal. Beautiful surroundings, with amazing views to the mountains. Vilde, communicated very well. Would love to go back.

We had a delightful stay in Mette’s cabin! It was just a perfect week and we didn’t want to leave. The cabin itself is super warm, cosy and nicely decorated. We felt at home straight away. The kitchen is well-equipped and there is even a dishwasher. Nothing was missing! The views from the cabin are lovely, and you can watch people skiing in the resort (10 min walk away). Mette and her husband were wonderful hosts, and even welcomed us into their home to advise us on snow conditions and ski touring routes. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable but also gave us our privacy and space. Highly highly recommend!! Oppdal is a perfect location for ski touring, there are many many routes to choose from!

We were 2 adults and 2 children and had a couple of nice accommodation in a great annex with good amenities. Good descriptions of the cabin and check in/out. Trond always responded quickly to messages. Absolutely great! Depending on transportation to Oppdal, but in return it is peaceful and scenic. Recommended!

Very nice and modern cabin, perfect for us who were two families who were there together. Two bathrooms are a huge plus. Well equipped kitchen, new and modern cabin. Cozy with both fire pit and wood-burning stove. Located in an area with lots of hiking trails.

The bedroom with 3 single beds has a ladder behind the door, we didn’t find it at the beginning, so we had a session of practice our climbing skills :) would be nice to have a note about where the ladder is. We had a great time at the cabin, very beautiful and cozy cabin! Everything went well!

The nicest host of times! Picked me up at the train station and made me feel welcome and at home right away! Had selection of staples to buy at the front desk, always gave great local tips, and always wanted to have a chat with all the camping's residents on quiet evenings. A very nice lady with a lot of good information and cute dogs 🥰 The campsite and cabin also had lovely surroundings, great hiking, tidy facilities and incredibly safe space with other nice and friendly residents! Would recommend to everyone if you want to be surrounded by pleasant people, beautiful nature, and beautiful wildlife!

Super nice cabin and fantastic hosts! Perfect location: easy to get to the downhill ski slopes but also for cross country. We had a very nice stay!

The cabin is very centrally located in Kvitfjell Vest, only 4 minutes skiing to the large chairlift. The cottage is generally spacious with large living room/kitchen/family room on the ground floor. On the first floor 4 bedrooms, where the 2 are nicely sized with a double bed, while the other 2 are with a bunk bed and quite small. We thought the cabin was a bit dim with dark colors, and the lighting could have been better. But the view was nice, the fireplace was good, etc. The host Lovise was very service minded and responded quickly and was helpful. So we can recommend the cabin to others.
