Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Guanacaste Province

We can not say enough good things about the house. Being right on the beach was just so amazing. The house was so convenient to town and groceries and restaurants. We were easily able to walk everywhere. Maggie is the bonus- she was so helpful and always concerned that things were going well. We already reserved for next year!

This was our first visit to Costa Rica, and we couldn't have been happier with our selection of accommodations. Everything was clean, airy, quiet. the wrap-around patio has several places to sit and enjoy the weather and tropical surroundings. The pool was right next door with friendly neighbors occassionally using it. A short walk to a small grocery store where you can get coffee, bread, ice cream, fruits, drinks, meat, pasta, toiletries--all the essentials, The beach is a 12 minute walk down a quiet street. You can't go wrong with this one.

beautiful country setting, waking up each day to the roosters, other birds, howler monkeys and cows. we definitely needed the car to get around. the house manager, Trino, and Alberto, the owner, were both super friendly, accommodatingl and responsive.

Great place. Tobi was really attentive and quick to respond and help us with any problems. House was quite loud at night but that wasn’t a huge problem. Would recommend this place.

I really like this property. We spent 3 nights and loved the location, literally across the street from the beach, cant see it but I can hear it and very soothing because the area or neighborhood is super quiet and we travel to Tamarindo 4x's per year as we live in LaFortuna. Anytime this property is available I will choose it over somewhere else. Large double lot with old growth shady trees with lots of elbow room. Nice newly rennovated pool. A dream property to visit. Met the property owner, very helpful first-class man, much appreciated host!

Benoit is an excellent host, very attentive, with good recommendations. The accommodation is 3 minutes by car from Playa Negra and 10 minutes from Avellanas beach. The place is spacious, very clean and meets all the needs. Thank you to Benoit so cordial treatment.

The studio was well equipped, good internet, air conditioning, the bed was comfortable, good water pressure in the bathroom, had spaces for parking, close to the beach about 10 minutes away, Allan responded immediately, always helped us.

I had an amazing time at Cocolhu. I spent every sunrise and sunset on the very top platform, enjoying the 360 degree views. Waking up to the sound of howler monkeys before dawn and being able to step outside and already be in the tree canopy without having to travel anywhere was really special. I was lucky enough to have a group of monkeys visit one evening, munching tree leaves around the dome for about half an hour. Patou the cat was absolutely adorable, and often kept me company in and around the dome. The fundamentals were great: strong WiFi and AC, lots of electrical outlets, good-sized fridge, etc. Practical touches such as clip-on fans beside the bed were appreciated. Many people buy property to rent out on Airbnb, but the unique space that Kelly and Javier have created for travellers to enjoy is truly a gift.

Our stay was very warm and enjoyable from the beginning to the end. We had a confusion with the location by WAZE, (we recommend being guided with Google Maps) however, Silvio and his children came to us promptly and guided us to the house with a very kind and understanding attitude. The house is located on the very private property, with green field all around it, beautiful views, contact with nature, with two extremely quiet horses that can be fed carrots or blocks. The quality and care of the house is notorious, very comfortable beds, clean and equipped for the cold. The kitchenware is clean, complete and fair for any need. All amenities in excellent condition and availability as described. We were greeted with delicious banana bread, we made a bonfire in their firepit and both we and our chihuahua dog enjoy the stay.

We loved the view from the house - located at the end of a dirt road with a beautiful view overlooking the valley below. Super convenient to anything in the Monteverde area - <10 mins from Curi Cancha and 20ish mins from Selvatura & Treetopia. Great recommendations for food - we loved breakfast at Stella's and enjoyed a sunset dinner at Celajes. The roads to get to Monteverde are around the same difficulty as the road the house is on - we had a 4x4 small SUV and had no issues. Would not suggest a sedan. Overall would stay again.

The stay was excellent, a very quiet, safe and comfortable place, with very nice finishes. Communication was excellent and we had no issues with the stay, excellent people responsible for the accommodation.

Very clean and well equipped. Nice linens. The chairs in the living room were super comfortable (for watching Netflix). Excellent communication with hosts. The place is a short walk to Lety's where we had dinner the first night. We could also walk to Boca Coffee the next morning and the supermarket was across the street from that. It was a drive to the parks. The hosts had a lot of touches that made the place very comfortable and inviting. Road can be loud at night, but I'm a light sleeper. It was great to have a washer/drier. Place was immaculate. As others have noted and despite the excellent instructions, getting in and out of the place took some practice. My husband and I finally got the system down - He parked down the road by the cemetery, I ran ahead and unlocked and opened the gate, then he came and drove in the short, steep uphill driveway, and I locked the gate. We reversed the procedure for exiting. This is Costa Rica so driving, in general, is tricky.
