Holiday rentals with a patio in Grasmere

We had a really great stay with our young baby. The apartment was really spacious and had everything we needed. The location was perfect for walking to Bowness. We would love to stay again.

Just had an incredible weekend break at Jenny's gorgeous accommodation. I have seen other reviews saying that the photos and description doesn't do this place justice and I totally agree. The lodge had everything we needed, was perfectly clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The views from the balcony are breathtaking!! The location is so picturesque, peaceful and clean and extremely close to Keswick. We took full advantage of the gym, swimming pool, sauna and hot tub, which was a brilliant way to start/finish the day. Also highly recommend the White Horse pub, where I have eaten the best chicken burger ever! Jenny, thank you for the kind and thoughtful treats. We highly recommend your place to anyone!! xxx

Lorraine’s place was the perfect place for a couples getaway to Bowness. The place was spotless and provided everything we needed for a cosy and convenient stay. The bed was so incredibly comfortable and the bathroom felt spa like which was a lovely treat after a day out exploring the lakes. It was also minutes away from lovely pubs and bars which we enjoyed throughout our trip. We would 100% stay here again! Thanks Lorraine!

We booked this accom very last minute(3hrs before we checked in), and turned out to be a great choice. Having never heard of Whitbarrow Village we did not know what to expect and was very pleased to find this apartment was part of a larger holiday village complex. The apartment was very well kitted out and had all mod cons you would want, some cleaning products and tea/coffee bits,plus a nice outdoor seating area and close access to the pool and games areas. The main reception building was very clean and the pool facilities were fantastic as well as the kids games area & cinema room (9yr old with us). Only a 15 min drive to Keswick or Penrith made it a great location just off the A66 but so peaceful & quiet. Friendly on-site staff and well maintained garden areas. Overall a great little find and will definetly stay at Whitbarrow Village again.

We loved our mother/daughter get-away at the Curator’s Flat! The space was so quaint and historic. The squeaky floor boards and quirky ups and downs were charming. We appreciated the chance to wander in the gardens and enjoy the grounds after hours. Kira gave us a private tour of Wordsworth’s home that was a highlight of our visit to the Lake District. The location was superb—peaceful and perfectly located away from the hordes of tourists but close enough to walk to Ambleside and Grasmere when we needed to stretch our legs. The famed Coffin Trail began literally at our doorstep. Exploring adjacent Rydal Hall was also fun. Badger Inn was THE PLACE for evening meals with excellent food and atmosphere. We couldn’t be more pleased and hope to return again. Thanks for the warm hospitality!

Fantastic stay, great location in the heart of Ambleside. The apartment was super clean and felt light and airy. Tv in the living room and bedroom was a great addition after a day of walking and wanting to chill in bed which was very comfy. The hosts gave lots of recommendations through their very useful guide book and were on top form with their communication.

We really enjoyed our stay at Laurel. The apartment is beautifully renovated and well laid out. For the most part it is well stocked with everything you need for your stay. The surroundings are absolutely stunning. We enjoyed watching the baby deer in the field each morning. 5 min drive away there’s an amazing artisan bakery and an ice cream shop. For guests with younger children there’s also a fantastic play park at Staveley. We had a couple of problems (missing travel cot on arrival, hot water turned off a couple of times) but the host was friendly and extremely quick to respond.

Very comfortable and cosy place. Easy communication. Lovely bedrooms, fantastic en suite bathroom. Well equipped kitchen - kids loved the hot chocolate maker. The location is wonderfully central in Ambleside which itself is the best spot for exploring the whole Lakes area. Parking permit for local car park and the 1 hour parking outside the front door is perfect when arriving and leaving. Great stay thank you

Perfect - clean and tidy house. Everything we needed.

It is a beautiful house tucked around the corner from the main street. clear instructions left in the lounge of the house and local places to eat, walk etc. facilities were great and clean. couple of minutes to walk to the local shops, pubs etc and parking off the main road was a great feature. would happily stay again and recommend - does have a few creaky floor boards but adds to the houses character.

This is a lovely cottage approx 10 minute walk from Windermere town centre. The cottage was clean and looked like the photos provided. The hosts even left us fresh flowers, a pint of milk and a cake as a welcome gift. The only issue was that the hosts asked us not to touch the heating but after a chilly day on the Lake, we asked them to put the heating on for us. Unfortunately, they didn’t see the message for a couple of hours by which time we were going out again. Apart from that, this was a lovely place to stay and we would definitely stay here again.

We loved staying in this cottage. We were there with 4 kids and had everything we needed. It’s super cosy, well equipped with all we needed and perfectly located to access all Staveley amenities and go on walks. Have already booked to stay there again!

Our third stay in Ann’s cottage so it feels like home. We feel so very relaxed here and it’s in the perfect situation for exploring the Northern Lakes. As always the accommodation is bright, airy beautifully decorated with everything we need. Ann’s commutation is friendly, courteous, timely and precise. We couldn’t wish for more.

The flat was lovely, beautifully kitted out and with some interesting lighting features! There was lots of space inside. We appreciated being able to stay a bit longer before checking out so we could have a planned zoom meeting. Thank you for being accommodating.

We went for a short break and it was lovely! The house was perfect for chilling out after a long day. Kitchen had a lot of things we needed and plenty of things to do even in the home! Perfect location, both towns either side of us with lots of options to eat and all within walking distance too. We were so glad we were able to stay here and hoping to be back soon! Thank you so much!

An absolutely amazing stay, Adrian and Stefania were so welcoming and even hung up some decorations for my partners birthday as we went up to celebrate! Such a friendly couple and so informative and attentive by alerting us when there were interesting animals in the gardens to see. Just all round fantastic experience and the annexe was so stunning and felt right at home 🫶🏻 Most definitely would go again! ☺️

A lovely modern apartment - it was clean and tidy with essentials (e.g hand soap, dishcloths, towels etc) as described. Beautiful view outside the living room/bedroom, perfect for sitting outside even if its raining since the table/chairs are sheltered. Fast wifi which was great. Communication with the host was great. The closest cafe is lovely too however if travelling without a car other restaurants are quite a walk or bus ride away (10-15 min drive). Lots of long walks nearby - we walked to ambleside via the hills and it was beautiful. One thing to note is the site is quite hilly but it's to be expected in the lakes. Would recommend 👍

We had a wonderful stay in the apartment. Very well equipped and great views of Ambleside from the living room and the Balcony. Bed was very comfortable. It was just a 5 minutes walk to shops and restaurants, but still away from the noise. Definitely recommended!

A lovely break in Kirkby Lonsdale for half term. Great apartment with everything we needed and super clean.

This is such a lovely place, it felt like home from home, had everything we needed, clean and comfy. Such a beautiful area, lovely walks from the house, and Grasmere is lovely too. We will definitely be back.

Just the perfect stop over after a looong drive back from The Highlands. So peaceful, extremely comfortable bed and squeaky clean apartment. So quiet too! The surroundings were amazing with a beautiful garden overlooking the highest point on the Pennines! Julie and Paul were just the best. They were waiting for us on arrival and gave us the warmest of welcomes (As did the dogs!) They were so kind and helpful. Look forward to coming back sometime to explore more of the beautiful Eden Valley.
