Family-friendly holiday rentals in Gaasterland

Fred and Kelly’s place is absolutely wonderful. We stayed because the price was better and there was a little more room than many places directly in the city. Though we looked forward to it, we didn’t expect to fall in love with it…and we did! Staying outside of the city is pretty great. It’s a 10ish minute walk to the train station, and then an easy navigation to wherever you need to go. We didn’t mind the “commute” a bit, and it was nice to start off and wind down in a quieter setting. The place itself is well kept, clean, and cozy. The beds were comfortable and the shower was hot with good pressure. We enjoyed casting Netflix on the TV with the fireplace on in the evenings, and we spent a couple of mornings in the garden. We booked this spot our entire stay, but also spent one night in Amsterdam to experience “city life,” and also spent one night in Utrecht. These were perfect additions to our home base plan. I’d definitely stay here again!

We had a great time in Epe, a very relaxing environment with a beautiful house. 2 Bedrooms with double beds, lovely terrace and a wonderful hot tub. You can order breakfast and also get some of the farm life if you want. There are cats running around, donkeys in front of the cottage and there is a shop that is open 24/7. We will definitely come back!

We stayed in the apartment for a weekend and felt very comfortable. With the bikes you could easily reach the nearby metro station and we had a good time in Amsterdam. The landlords were very friendly and always easy to reach. I highly recommend this place for Amsterdam stays.

We enjoyed our stay in the tiny house very much! Great for families, with beautiful nature and walking paths starting at your doorstep.

The house is sensational. Very impressive high rooms, huge and very tastefully furnished. There is everything you need. You can park right in front of the house. Just right for our family trip (10 person). We wanted a quiet house near the North Sea. Sandra and Nic are great host. We can all recommend the house.

Plenty of room, quiet neighborhood. The M5 bus made our commute to Train then Amsterdam easier. (Approx 1 hour). Loved the 2 free bikes available for us to use. The sauna was a lovely bonus to use at night to relax. Moniek’s was resourceful and actively answering our questions. Alot of gadget in the house, no cable on TV so it was hard for my elderly parents to figure out how to use an intelligent tv with Netflix and all but we managed differently. Area was really nice close to the house but Almere centrum gets a bit suspicious at night so be aware to not be a women alone at night coming back -even locals fidy not recommended.

Had a great weekend. Enjoyed the nice garden with various seats and of course the wellness. Cottage really has all the comforts and the bed was very comfortable. Beautiful quiet area and a 20-30 minute drive from various nice cities. Joop and Thea are very friendly and are there for you immediately. In short, highly recommended!

The check-in was straightforward and all the important information was super prepared. The highlight is the view over the water and the terrace, from which you can access the lake directly via a ladder. We were already there for the second time and would be happy to come back.

Absolutely Wonderful Stay at the Farm with Patries and Mike! We had the most amazing time staying at Patries and Mike’s farm. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely welcomed and at home. Patries and Mike are truly exceptional hosts – warm, generous, and full of heart. You can feel how much love and care they put into their place and into every guest they welcome. The farm itself is a little slice of paradise. Surrounded by nature, animals, and peace, it’s the perfect spot to unwind, slow down, and reconnect with what really matters. We loved waking up to the sounds of birds – and especially the proud rooster announcing each new day with great enthusiasm! There’s a real sense of authenticity and warmth here that’s hard to put into words – you simply have to experience it. Thank you, Patries and Mike, for opening your hearts and your home to us. We left with full hearts, new inspiration, and the feeling that we had just spent time with old friends. We can’t wait to come back!

We had fantastic days again; we were allowed to stay here for a 2nd time, now in another season. The accommodation is very cozy and has everything you need (and much more) for a wonderfully relaxing stay in a truly beautiful setting, where there is a lot to do and see. Very nice owners and Bertina is an absolute top host in every way. Her fresh, healthy and varied breakfast is also not to be exceeded. T Veldhoentje gets a big 10 from us! We'd love to come back.

Unreal Airbnb! Perfect location. Super clean. The place had absolutely everything you needed. Andrew has been the best Airbnb host I have ever had. He goes above and beyond for his guests and is so helpful for anything.

We felt super comfortable in Hil's apartment. It is located in a quiet, beautiful side street, 10 minutes' walk from the city centre. The apartment is lovingly furnished, the kitchen super functional, the beds comfortable. The garden is the cherry on top! Communication with Hil went perfectly! She was accessible and straightforward at all times. Thank you!! Looking forward to the next stay :-D

A second fantastic stay in this accommodation in the heart of Volendam, the environment is peaceful and you feel at home. The house is 2 steps from the port and public transport and there is everything you need to stay for several days

A great little apartment with a very nice bathroom. Delicious breakfast items were provided.

We, 2 adults and 1 child, 3 years old, spent 1 week at Elke's place. We especially loved the quiet area, the large house with lots of toys and the trampoline in the garden. The whole area is beautiful and there are lots of excursion options. Elke and her husband are great hosts, very nice and always there for questions.

Very nice holiday cottage on quiet campsite. From the platform in the back of the garden you have a nice view of an open plain, we saw a few deer passing by in the early morning. The cottage has a beautiful garden, is also full of comforts and the contact with the owner is fine. Highly recommended.

Suze-An is very friendly, and has a nice chat when you feel like it. The cottage itself has a very spacious living room. Everything you need during your vacation is present, including super good wifi, toilet paper, towels, garbage bags, hand soap, salt etc. The showpiece is the huge garden, with lovely grass to lie in, a trampoline, a sandpit, and a nest swing. And animal friends also come to their liking: cats, dog, sheep, chickens, horses and deer.

We enjoyed our stay at Wendela's. We were warmly welcomed. The "Rosenhäuschen" was exactly what we had imagined. It was our home away from home. And we'll be back for sure.

Great location. Walking distance to Cocksdorp. At the edge of the park, therefore a nice view and tranquility. Easily traveled by car. Three bathrooms, so good for groups (in our case three families) and yet privacy and private place.

We enjoyed this beautiful place very much! Everything was perfect, our hosts were very helpful, they always responded to our requests really fast. Location is absolutely stunning, beautiful nature, so peaceful and calm! We recommend this awesome place 100%!

Really a nice and cozy stay with a lovely view on garden and nature. You can walk onto the heath in no time. Everything that is needed is also present in the garden everything perfect. The outdoor kitchen can also be used with rain due to the spacious canopy. Friendly hostess who also responds quickly to the app.

Steven was absolutely amazing! The boat is lovely and well situated and he went absolutely above and beyond to help us out on our stay - he even brought us out on his tugboat for a test run! Could not recommend enough thank you so much for our stay 😊😊
