Welcome to a quiet and family-friendly place in the middle of the city. The apartment is located on the ground floor and can accommodate 5 adults. Here you have a short distance to most places, access to the garden, free parking and charging point for electric car. The house is from 1895, and much of the original is preserved. With good beds and a large kitchen with dining area, we hope that guests will have a pleasant stay in a place a little out of the ordinary. The apartment has no separate living room, but a small seating area in front of the wood stove in the kitchen.

Therefore, it is best suited for families or close friends, and it is also possible to set up an extra children's bed in the “library.” There is approx. a 10 minute walk down to the city center with the railway station and the University and 3 km up to Birkebeinerstarten, as well as approx. 3 km to Rena camp. The old summer barn of Hovelsrud Gård is idyllically located between Mjøsa and a rolling grain field – a simple and unique place for those who want to get close to nature and enjoy the tranquillity of Helgøya. The house is best suited for a couple or a small family with up to two children. Inside, there is a bedroom and an open-plan living room. Outside there is a kitchen bench, with a gas burner and barbecue, a small beach with swimming opportunities and an outdoor toilet. There is no electricity.

Our garden house has a plain Norwegian cabin standard with everything you need for making simple meals. Some basic food supplies will be available. As we have no running water in the garden house, we have placed a water dispenser in the kitchen area. Your bathroom, with floor heating and shower, is situated right next door, in the main house. The garden house has its own terrace, with access to the garden.
