Great cottage in a great location. Great scenery, clean water, peaceful surroundings, and the lakeside sauna got the best steam you can imagine. The perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The host came to say hello, the welcome was friendly. I loved the wood sauna!

We were in Sysmä for the third time, but this was our first visit in the summer. The courtyard was summery and beautiful and we had a great time as before.

We were very happy with the place. Beautiful in nature, with great views of the lake. The equipment was completely sufficient and in the evening you even had the opportunity to go to the sauna. I'd love to come back :)

Beautiful quiet retreat on a lush island. Everything you need to relax and enjoy your time is provided. There was even a midsummer traditional treat waiting for us. Satu is kind and responsive. She makes sure her guests are comfortable and enjoy their stay. Highly recommend.

We stayed at Henna's apartment for the weekend. We received good instructions for check-in, which went well and flexibly. The apartment had everything you needed for a weekend stay. Full marks for the location of the apartment: a stunningly beautiful environment and easy connections in all directions.

As described, friendly hosts. Value for money and very convenient location (route 6) when you want to move around in the region by private car (or some two-wheeler?) - or just to stay overnight. Note however, that Joensuu center is a drive away and parking there seems to be quite expensive.

There is space for parking and it is in a quiet location in the city centre.

Beautiful and peaceful apartment. Free parking next to the house is a big plus! A wonderfully renovated holiday home with respect for the old! The upstairs sauna is atmospheric and for once a good bed! The equipment is special, everything you can hope for and of high quality, which may be atypical. Air heat pump on both the lower and upper floors - no hot or cold air 👍 I liked it and I will definitely come back!

Sari's cottage was a great place to rest amid the hustle and bustle of Himos. The fireplace on the deck created a lovely atmosphere, and due to the late check-out time, there was also time to eat brunch on the morning of the long pattern. Thanks, Sari!

This property is very special. The furnishings are lovingly designed, the property is very well maintained. There is the beautiful barbecue area by the lake, a spacious terrace and as a highlight a summer kitchen. The sauna has very good steam and we enjoyed swimming in the lake. Eija is an excellent host and we felt very welcome. We have been driving to Finland for over 30 years and have tested a number of mökkis, this is one of the best 🥰

Joonas's place was excellent. We loved the sauna the very most. The lake view was stunning and we were in total privacy. Would recommend to anyone.

Had an overall lovely stay with my partner in a spectacular location right by the lake. Astonishing views for both breakfast and dinner were served right through the windows of the cottage. The price is of course in accordance with these features, maybe even a little too much. It might have been the particular weather but it was quite challenging to get the sauna ventilation exactly to where it doesn't let the smoke in the room.

We had a quiet and relaxing time at the house. Unfortunately, we had a bit of bad luck with our travel date, as it thawed heavily shortly before we arrived and then froze again. The result was a rather demanding journey over heavily icy forest roads. With four-wheel drive, no problem and on site you could do well with spikes. But you think twice about whether you have to go shopping by car or not. After it had snowed again, that was no longer an issue, mind you with four-wheel drive! The house is quietly located directly on the lake. If you are looking for a break from everyday life and relaxation, I can only recommend winter as a travel time. We used the cold days for the sauna and took a few trips to the beautiful frozen lake landscape. Sanna was always easily accessible and provided us with information about the location and everything around it 👍 In terms of amenities, we didn't miss anything and we could imagine coming back 👋👋👋

The cottage was cozy and in a beautiful and peaceful place. The sauna had good steam and it was nice to take a dip in the pond after the steam. You'll find all the equipment you need. Ilkka was a good tenant and responded quickly to messages and gave good tips on fishing spots. The location of the cottage is good for nature trips and fishing. We may visit again.

Great cottage, relax and have a nice time with friends or family. Quiet place, can also do a lot of other things, wasn't boring at all, lots of games, nice sauna, music and great scenery. Thank you very much, Markku!
