An absolutely wonderful stay at Fordhall Yurts. We've stayed at yurts before but, as a family of 5, they can feel a little cramped at times but that wasn't the case here. So much space with the two adjoining yurts and having the kitchen table to eat and play games at was such a great touch. The outdoor space was also wonderful as we sat outside under the canopy and watched the sunset. Absolutely no faults at all here. The location was great (I'd suggest heading to Alderford Lake for some paddle-boarding or a bit of wild swimming) and the village of Market Drayton is a few minutes drive away (The Red Lion pub is superb!). What an amazing stay with our 3 girls. Such a beautiful setting for a couple of days away. Such helpful hosts! So kind with lots of helpful information. We have never done anything like this before and hope to return! The girls loved the animals and stream to play in. Little walk to the pub was a lovely touch. Lots of nearby things to do within half hour drive. Waterfalls and canoeing over the aqueduct. Highly recommend!

It’s really quite hard to describe this place; somewhere between back to basics and everything you never know you needed - but with everything you need. Everything is considered and done so with absolute rustic charm and English class and sensibility. We can’t wait to go back. My 9 year old daughter described it best though, ‘paradise’.

Really nice stay in a really nice area

Wonderful yurts in a little slice of Welsh heaven. Set in the valley these wonderful yurts are well equipped and very very comfortable. Little woodburners inside for chilly nights, firepits outside for roasting marshmellows. Merlins bus, which was converted into the kitchen/diner is great for cooking meals. We enjoyed gorgeous walks in the area or a trip to the beach at Aberdovey. Frances is amazing and is very caring towards her guests. Its a wonderful place to come to get away from it all. Really great for young kids too. Great for them to explore the woods and collect firewood etc. We’ve been coming for around 8 yrs and have loved it everytime.

The kids absolutely loved staying here. A hidden gem with beautiful scenery and breath taking views. A few days here to recharge is great, off the grid and away from all the chaotic everyday stuff. The hosts were super friendly and always happy to help. We stayed in the red kite yurt, which was clean and just as the pictures showed. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to just get away for a few days. This was our first experience of camping and thrilled to say it won’t be the last. You won’t regret booking here, it really was a amazing experience and to top it off we created lovely memories with the kids who loved the whole time they were there. Thanks Russ and Karen👍

My boyfriend and I spent 3 nights in the Red Kite Yurt. We absolutely loved our stay. I was very impressed with how clean everything was despite being surrounded by nature. We really enjoyed using the outdoor kitchen and BBQ. We were provided with plenty of wood to use which was a nice suprise. The bathroom and shower is a short walk away and has wonderful bath products to use. We also enjoyed our box of pastries provided by the hosts along with some fresh milk. The yurt is very cozy and peaceful to stay in. There is plenty of space for storage and comfort. We enjoyed exploring the grounds of the reserve and relaxing on the hammocks. The reserve is in an excellent location to visit other local sites! We would definitely recommend this place to our friends and family to come and stay.

The Yurt experience was fantastic..it’s situated in such beautiful & peaceful surroundings..:) on arrival we were welcomed by our lovely host Jayne.. who was very helpful with everything & super friendly..! We stayed in the Silver Birch Yurt which was decorated lovely & had a cute double bunk bed..the kids loved this with the little wooden steps up to the single bed..! The Hot Tub on the decking outside our Yurt was amazing & once again the kids enjoyed this special experience & all the warm bubbles :) looking out to the green that surrounds the yurts & horses & wild birds singing .. it truly was so magical & picturesque :) The yurt had a very generous amount of towels & super soft bedding with the added bonus of a heated blanket too :) We can’t wait to come back & visit & to see Jayne again too..welcomed with a smile & a big hug goodbye when we left ..10/10 for everything & Also the outdoor Pizza oven was a great experience..to make & cook our own pizzas alfresco style .. lots of fun!

Great place! It’s peaceful. We were unfortunate that we had to cancel our BBQ plan because of poor weather. Debbora had kindly set up everything for us. She entertained our requests and was very responsive with communication. We only stayed for a night but we would definitely like to return and spend longer if we have time!

An amazing cabin for a getaway to wales, offering all the we could’ve needed. Sara was an amazing host to us, from giving clear directions to get to the cabin to providing us with all we needed for the weekend (plus a few extras, thanks Sara!). The cabin is located in a really nice area on the farm, and though the were sheep fenced away from the cabin they hardly caused any issues. Hot tub and bbq were fantastic, and the inside was superb. 5 stars from us!

Such a lovely place to stay with some amazing views from the Yurt. Located next to a small village that has everything you need. Louise and Anthony was amazing host and just let us crack on with our stay and if we needed anything we just dropped them a quick message and it was sorted. Would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a nice peaceful get away

The yurt is the perfect place to stay for a mini break in North Wales. It's incredibly cozy, private, comfortable, warm, has everything you would need, with an amazing view. You truly feel like you are immersed in nature! Zip World is around the corner, and it's a reasonably short drive to both hike Snowdon and explore Anglesey as we did. My sister and I had the most wonderful time, and will be recommending to everyone we can!

We had a lovely one night stay in the Yurt4Two. It has everything you could possibly need and Rachel was an excellent host. We loved the log fire, made for a very cosy yurt on the first wet night in a long time! Thank you.

Great place to simply unwind and enjoy the surrounding everything was great would certainly go again.

Where to start... location - beautiful hillside, superbly private and remote with direct acces to a path that leads to breathtaking views, yet very close to Barmouth and shops if necessary. Yurt - amazingly kept, cosy and has everything you need for a very, very comfortable camping trip. Ultimate place to rest after a long day of walking. And super friendly for families with plenty of space for a monopoly game in front of a warm fire. Amenities - You got everything you need. From cooking up a bbq, to boiling a soup over the fire to having a panfried eggs for brekkie - everything is available and tip top quality. Shower and toilet are squeaky clean, easy to access and private. Host - can't thank Rob and the family enough for the warm welcome and making everything a breeze. Nothing, but respect for the effort they have put in the place to make it feel like home, yet so close to nature and special. And thanks for lending me the guitar Rob - made the evenings that much more special. :)

Staying at Samantha’s Yurt was a great experience. It was a real treat to be immersed in nature with outstanding views. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. Not as peaceful as I’d hoped - it being on a hill above a busy road - that said I slept well and wasn’t disturbed by the traffic, the sunrise or the dawn chorus. One thing to consider - the track is tricky for vehicles low to the ground.

On arrival we were met by Sharon who kindly helped us to the Yurt on the golf buggy. The Yurt was beautiful and exactly how it was listed on the booking. The hot tub was fantastic and the shower room was lovely and warm and immaculate. The whole atmosphere was friendly, the owner Mark was fantastic and always happy to help. We ate at a local pub recommended to us which was delightful. Thank you all for your hospitality and the Christmas tree on checking out. We will definitely stay again.

The cabin and yurt accomodation was perfect for my needs with my two children, the games in the yurt kept them entertained whilst I could relax in their company. The cabin accomodation had everything we needed and didn't need anything else for our stay. For those wanting private countryside, this is ideal, you have a private garden that is not overlooked with outdoor seating and a fire pit. Local walks and attractions are on the doorstep, or you can choose to sit in the yurt whilst listening to the radio, kept warm by the burner. Very much enjoyed the stay and the kids would like to return.

Our yurt stay was magical—peaceful sky views from bed, cosy warmth, and thoughtful design. My son adored the comfy bed and soft rug, and the wood burner made evenings perfect. The shower- Majestic.Heavenly.Divine. The outdoor kitchen kept family time going through dinner prep—fully equipped and easy to use, luxurious. The record player was a sweet touch (bringing records next time!). We barely needed our supplies—towels, robes, coffee, air fryer, hot plate, and every pot and pan were provided. The wild swimming lake was clean and clear, with soft water and tadpoles resting in the shallows. A swing on a giant oak, deer wandering the land—it felt like a fairytale. Amanda and Rob were kind, relaxed, and attentive, with a strong sense of care and safety. Our son was totally at ease—he thrived in the calm. This place is magic. We’ll be back.

Just had a fabulous last minute getaway here and it ticked every box for us personally. It was very a lovely calming setting in a secluded little spot yet not too far from pretty little towns with shops and great country pubs. Also some great walks nearby. The Yurt itself was perfect with great facilities including electric shower and toilet and a wood fired hot tub where we sat and watched the rabbits in the paddock below. We will definitely return soon.

Hill Farm was a brilliant place for a family getaway. We took our 3 boys for two night to a beautiful yurt, where we were greeted with fresh farm eggs and beautiful pot plant on the table in our outdoor kitchen. The setup was great - we had everything we needed. Hayley left clear instructions for check in and popped by to say hi, but other than that left us to it for our time there (we had her number in case we needed anything). The area was fantastic - so much to do we couldn't fit it all in. The woodburner kept us warm in the evenings and the tent was comfortable. We did find the beautiful skylight made it hard to get the kids to sleep in the light evenings/ early mornings ( and would recommend eye masks for grownups) but the second night after a day of activity they definitely slept better! We would love to come back another time - we had a lot of fun.
