Holiday rentals with breakfast in Darwen

Mel was so lovely and friendly, and was perfect with our anxious rescue dog Eric who can be tricky with new people - he likes his space. We felt really at home and all the little extras for Eric - dog towels, blankets, treats and toys were lovely. The Annexe is in a lovely quiet spot with quiet dog walks within 1 minute, so this was perfect for Eric. And it is really well stocked with everything you'd expect in an Airbnb - it genuinely felt as though we were guests rather than a money-making venture. Mel even added some shopping for us that we'd forgotten to bring when she did her shop. Great host, very kind.

My girlfriend and I had a fantastic weekend stay at Ally’s place. The house is beautifully designed, spotless, and very well maintained. The furniture is brand-new and high-quality, and the space is filled with artistic touches and charming decorations. Ally and Simon were wonderful hosts—warm, responsive, and happy to help with anything we needed. The neighborhood is peaceful and scenic, which made it perfect for a relaxing getaway. One of my favorite spots was a cozy music corner in the living room, equipped with a piano, guitar, and a great selection of sheet music—ideal for music lovers. We truly enjoyed our stay and wished we could stay longer!

Rebecca was a wonderful host, responds quickly to any messages and lots of lovely touches inside on arrival. Rebecca was very friendly and helpful and made our stay very enjoyable. The location is stunning and has easy access via car to lots of things in the area. It looks exactly like the pictures and is wonderful to sit out with the horses or see the stars at night. Amenities are all provided and there is helpful list inside with useful instructions and ideas for pubs/walks/attractions. Would definitely recommend staying here for a peaceful stay to explore the cotswolds :)

We had a wonderful stay! Communication was great from the start, and the home itself is absolutely beautiful, cosy, warm, and full of thoughtful touches that made it feel really special. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the shower was excellent too. Sarah, her husband, and Joey were so lovely and welcoming, and their gorgeous dog made us feel right at home. Highly recommend this stay, would love to come back!

We had a wonderful stay at Sean’s! He was very accommodating & had his kitchen fully stocked-which was great after traveling! He gave us information about the surrounding area, and answered our many questions! His home was very clean & neat, and very welcoming! We highly recommend Sean’s Airbnb!!

Superb Airbnb for our 3 nights away exploring the local area. Accommodation had everything we needed and all the little extra touches made it extra special. I particularly liked the booklet Eirwen had made with recommendations of where to eat, drink and visit in the local vicinity. The cookies, milk, bread, eggs, butter, yogurt etc were also a bonus. Eirwens’ husband Mike also deserves a mention as nothing was too much trouble. He happily helped with where we could clean our bikes and sorted out storage for the bikes as well as giving advice about places to go in the area. Would definitely recommend. Thank you

We had a lovely stay at Ed and Charlottes, the perfect spot to explore from. The cottage was spotless and exactly as listed with lovely scenery and stocked with the essentials for our stay we were even treated to a delicious bowl of fresh strawberries on our final morning. The place was easy to find and the prearrival instructions easy to follow and had really helpful information on local taxis and places to eat nearby perfect for our stay. Waterloo too has become one of my favourite places to visit. Beautiful surroundings with a very welcoming host who loves to show off her place and quite rightly so. There are lots of visitors to her bird feeders, your own private garden, although you are welcome to sit in Melissa's garden next to her pond and a few feet away from her orchard, where a mattress has thoughtfully been placed for any stargazer's to use. One of the best breakfast hamper I've encountered with fresh eggs from her friends chickens, local butter, small loaf, and small jars of jam etc. Cereal was also provided along with usual tea and coffee and coffee for the cafetiere as well and not forgetting the pint of milk as well. Will definitely be returning 🤗

We were attending a local wedding and Sue’s place was just perfect! It’s amazingly presented, spotlessly clean and the breakfast provisions, chocolates & lollies etc were all just unexpected bonuses. Sue was very helpful and friendly. If we return again we’ll definitely stay there again.

We had a fantastic stay at Richard’s place. It was perfect, nice and quiet and in beautiful surroundings. Richard was super responsive and very helpful! Highly recommend!

We've just returned from 3 nights at Katrina's place which is absolutely delightful and really can't fault anything. It is bigger than we expected, and quirky ;), private and quiet and a real home from home, with everything you could need and it was exceptionally clean. The goodies were very much appreciated and really added to our stay. The area is gorgeous and right there in the hills, it is a short walk from the highest point. It is a great base from which to walk and explore The Malverns. It was our first time and we were blown away by the 360 degree views on the hills. We were sad to leave as it was such a relaxing and enjoyable break, but hope to be back. Thank you Katrina so being so thoughtful and making our stay so special.

What a STUNNING place. I needed a quiet solo retreat following my 50th birthday and it was perfect. Waking up and going to sleep (sometimes several times a day!) looking at the sea was glorious. Had several baths looking up at the hills and the sky. Even baked some cookies! I left feeling restored. Couple of things I didn’t know, but that don’t reflect on Melinda as a host: - parking is on the road, not on the drive, but I got space directly outside - I could even keep an eye on my car from the bedroom! - there is a bit of a smell (from a neighbour who smokes?) that comes up into the lounge that kept me out of it sometimes - the road is quite busy with cars during the day, so you will mainly hear the sea in the morning and the evening. Rhos is minutes away - I had a couple of fab meals at Fortes. Buses are very easy - I went to Llandudno for the Thurs male voice choir concert at St Johns. Colwyn is an easy walk up the beach. Gorgeous! I’d love to come back.

Completely self contained flat with lots of character. Well away from any road noise and beautiful view. Well appointed facilities - lots of power points and fast wifi. Thoughtful provisions to greet us. Only drawback (not the fault of our host) was poor phone signal in the flat, but slightly better in the car park. A happy stay.

Martin & Diane's place was very comfortable with a beautiful garden and a very cute dog. Martin and Diane were kind and attentive without being intrusive. There place have everything that was needed and we were pleased with off road parking. We can recommend their place for a city break or to stay if you are working in Coventry. We will visit again when we are visiting family in the area.

Definitely one of the best Airbnbs we have ever stayed in! Beautiful gardens / grounds and an immaculate spacious flat. We will be back as soon as we can

Ruth’s little cottage is absolutely delightful. This is one of the loveliest Airbnbs we have stated in. Ruth has managed to create a cosy welcoming space with an astonishing number of comforts and amenities without it feeling cluttered. The cottage is an independent building at the bottom of Ruth’s garden. There are two outside sitting areas - we sat on the small balcony at the rear enjoying the evening sunshine beside the fruit trees. Comfy bed and great shower. Lots of tea and coffee flavours. We also had the delight of an evening meal which we ordered beforehand. Ruth is a fabulous cook and hostess. After eating we had a little walk round the gorgeous village and church to get a bit of exercise after supper. Breakfast which is included was amazing. This was a really wonderful stay.

Georgie’s cabin is wonderful if you are looking for peace and quiet, rest and relaxation. It was just as described. It’s totally secluded and private but Georgie is just next door if needed. The fresh eggs from the hens was a lovely touch. The veranda and the views were incredible. Spent hours just gazing into the distance. We’d love to come back in a different season and get to enjoy the log burner. Wonderful place to spend a weekend. Thank you.

Lorely’s place was the perfect long weekend getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. She and her husband were friendly, flexible, helpful and always so responsive to messages. The home is as beautiful as the photos - such a wonderfully interesting space! Unwinding in front of the fire every evening was on of our favourite things to do. We also fell totally in love with Lulu the cat. She is an outdoor cat and apparently happy to stay away if guests aren’t up for her to be inside, but we simply adored her and loved when she graced us with visits. Cuddly and delightfully chill. Our 4 year old managed the curvy staircase well and thought it was fun to sleep on the pull out. Beds were comfortable and it stayed a good temp all night. Fridge is small and there were limited basic ingredients available so not really set up for a full food shop, but it was fine for a short trip. Shop is only a 5 min drive away and easy enough to grab dinner from every day. Loved our stay - thank you!

A stunning Dovecote conversion full of character and in the most beautiful setting. Wendy and Steve were absolutely lovely from the outset and the little touch of the warm croissant and tart each morning at our door truly set the tone of our peaceful time at their property.

The property was easy to find and we received clear instructions with a lovely welcoming sign. Check-in was a breeze and David was a super friendly host. The breakfast provided was exceptional and it was lovely to be able to pick a time for breakfast and there were various options. Inside was spotless, it was very clean and well presented and there was space to park our vehicle outside. Superb location, lovely countryside setting and great host. Would 100% return. Thank you very much.

Very close to my office friendly host decent room and having breakfast in the price was great so overall I was delighted to stay there and hope to return soon.
