Holiday rentals with a patio in Cape Hatteras

Our stay at the Sit N' Duck was absolutely perfect! The residence is well laid out with amenities to make your stay as easy and care-free as possible. Mary and Larry provided everything we could have possibly needed, and the washer and dryer were a helpful additional touch. If we wanted a beach day, it was only a 2-minute walk to a very secluded and peaceful section of the beach with great views, the sound of the ocean, and pristine waves. We brought a small beach cart which was easily maneuvered out and down the beach access boardwalk, but if you're packing light it wouldn't be hard to carry everything for the short distance. Even in the rain, there are wonderful covered sitting areas to sit out and enjoy the rain as we read a book or just chatted. Additionally, there's no shortage of things to do nearby in a short drive up to Duck or down to Kitty Hawk or Kill Devil Hills. We couldn't have imagined a better trip to OBX and we look forward to hopefully staying again in the future!

The perfect place to stay in Elizabeth City. It's convenient to everything in town, parking was a breeze, and the place is well furnished and appointed.

Rory was a very friendly host. He was so quick to respond from start to finish along with ensure we were able to securely get in. His place is exactly as listed and pictured. Very clean, quiet, easy accessible to the beach. The beach was beautiful not crowded. Highly recommend for many reasons! Thank you for making our stay perfect!

The house was very pretty and comfortable. It's close to a lot of restaurants and things to do. Katie is great and made checking in and out a breeze.

Tara’s place worked perfectly for our family (two adults, two young kids) and honestly restored my faith in AirBnBs. You can tell she really puts effort into making it an awesome place. It was kid friendly - spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated without being fussy. The appliances are all brand new, the bed and linens are super comfortable, there’s great water pressure in the shower, the kitchen is well stocked, and the washer/dryer was so helpful. It’s super centrally located with a ton to do in the area, and it’s easily walkable to the beach. (Though there’s no real ocean view, if that’s your thing.) It was our first time in the Outer Banks and we’d probably choose a quieter town in the future but if we were to come back to KDH rebooking here would be top of our list.

We enjoyed our stay at Nikki’s apartment very much. The space is very clean, inviting and had all the amenities listed on the description. The photos are accurate and reflect the second floor apartment well. We like to cook a few meals while traveling and found all the pots, pans and utensils we needed in the kitchen. New appliances are also available. It is located in a peaceful, quiet and safe neighborhood. Nikki and her husband were friendly and available if needed. Would definitely consider returning again.

We absolutely loved our stay at this condo! It was very clean and the space was perfect for our family! The kitchen was updated and had all of the essentials. The balcony had a perfect view of the ocean! It was beautiful and I enjoyed drinking my coffee as well as watching the sunrise each morning! The condo was in a great location and central to everywhere we wanted to go at OBX! Katie was very responsive and helpful. We absolutely loved it and we may stay here again in the future!! 😊

We had a great night at Tatyana’s place! She was accommodating, allowing early check-in and even letting us add a guest just a day before arrival. Communication was excellent and smooth throughout. The home was spotless and even better than described. It had all the listed amenities and more. The beach and pier were just a short walk or bike ride away. Parking was easy, and the neighbors we met while walking were friendly. Now, a heads-up: I still give Tatyana a 5-star review, but you may want to rent the whole house. We had the upstairs unit. The first night was perfect, but Saturday night, someone new checked in downstairs. We returned around 10 PM—my wife even took her shoes off before walking upstairs—and soon got a message to be mindful of noise. It was a buzzkill. Unfortunately, when sharing a space, you just don’t know who’ll be below or how sensitive they might be. Still, the location, host, and home were fantastic. Next time, I’d just rent the whole house for peace of mind.

This was such a wonderful experience! The house was beautiful and spacious, and the host is so generous and thoughtful 😊 so thankful for all accommodations and a very helpful/resourceful host. There's a reason why this place stays booked!! If you're looking for a special vacation, this is the one! I'd love to come back next year ❤️

This was our second year at Serene Retreat. It’s just such a wonderful place for young children to enjoy the beach. The fenced in yard is great for their outdoor play. We enjoy cooking in the fabulous kitchen and feasting at the table with a view. Better than any restaurant around! Thank you again.

Great location and home for our friends with family trip! The pool and backyard was the perfect hangout and the beach was a quick walk away. Very comfortable for 3 families all with kids! Grateful our fur babies could join as well! Travis was very communicative and helpful. Highly recommend this spot!

Gia was amazing! It is right next to drive on beaches and beautiful home. One of the best communicators on air bnb and would stay again. We didn’t have wifi when there and she offered a free extra night. Very accommodating and lovely woman! If you’re in the area STAY AT GIA’S!

Our stay was great. Ma was very helpful and responsive and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we need. The house was great, right on the water, very peaceful yet walkable to town.

Gia was an excellent host and her place was everything we hoped for and more. Some of the most beautiful ocean views in the area and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. We’ve already recommended her to some of our closest friends…and now to you also!

Lovely stay by the beach. Fully equipped and steps away to the beach. It has a unique history which was great to read about. Nicely furnished and has all the necessary amenities for a great beach vacation for the family

Our family has stayed in Airbnb’s all over the world and this cute house was the most well equipped, comfortable, and vacation ready we have stayed at. I highly recommend both for the responsiveness of the host and the location and comfort of the house. Nothing bad to say about our experience. This house has easy access to the beach, about a three minute walk. The host provided a wagon and beach chairs, and toys for the beach making our stay with teenage girls amazing and easy. We were close to many places to eat, the neighborhood was quiet and safe, and a grocery store was right across the street. I highly recommend this house for a family stay. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The hostess provided a few essentials that was amazing. We didn’t have to buy. The house was clean and well kept.

Spent a wonderful girl’s trip in this condo and enjoyed every second. Beautiful, clean space, easy beach accesses, and walkable to my favorite restaurants. This was the perfect place to stay to introduce my friends to OBX for the first time. Would absolutely stay again!

The condo was very charming with new appointments and has a beautiful view of the ocean. We enjoyed sunrise each morning and the sound of the waves crashing each night. The kitchen was well equipped and had sufficient space for the two of us. It was also nice to have both a full and half bath as well as a door between the sink area and toilet/shower in the full bath. Having several options for coffee with espresso, drip, and a Keurig was a big plus A few observations we want to share. It would be very tight to fit 6 people in the place but you could comfortably have two couples or a couple with two kids with the second pair on the sleeper sofa. Overall it was a great stay for our anniversary weekend!!!

This was an ideal location in Duck, NC. The beach associated with the resort was devine! The surrounding area is mostly single family homes, making the beach very private to the resort. The unit is located away from the pool, so it was very quiet and lovely. The view is not really of water, but it's a great deck to watch sunsets. I would return to this AirBnB again!

All instructions were clear and we were even notified that we could check in early which was a bonus. The condo was clean and well furnished. The bed was very comfortable. The location is wonderful. Within easy walking distance to the beach, to shopping and dining and to the Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum. And the boardwalk through the marsh is especially nice. We will definitely be returning!

What a fantastic location! We loved being right on the beach. Inside the condo was really quiet and it had everything we needed. My kids loved it too and we got to see dolphins from the balcony!

The only thing that wasn’t great, was the limited amount of toilet paper. We needed more than one roll for each bathroom.

Where do I start… Absolutely great views, quiet neighbors, and great places to eat! To top all that off is how clean and beautifully decorated the condo was. Very relaxing, everything we needed was there, not cluttered, and communication was great! What more could you ask for!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautifully updated and nicely appointed condo on Roanoke Island. The views of the Pamlico Sound were absolutely stunning—especially at sunrise with a cup of coffee in hand. The location was perfect, just a short drive to great restaurants and the Lost Colony outdoor show. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the kitchen was well-stocked with all the basics we needed for cooking. We also loved the spacious dining and living area—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Highly recommend!
