Beachfront holiday rental in Cape Hatteras

We had a great three night stay, my three adult children and I. The beach was surprisingly almost ours to ourselves. For an older traditional OBX house, it was well updated and very well appointed. The central floor plan is very open. I love it when you can be in the kitchen cooking while talking to everybody in the living area and those around the dinner table at the same time. Awesome view of the ocean off the back deck. We sat in the hot tub and still see the ocean. Im sometimes leary of hot tubs at the beach, a lot of times they are not well maintained. Danielle's was spotless and the water chemistry was perfect and safe. There was absolutely nothing we needed or any place where we needed to go that was not within a 5-minute drive. All of my family are fisherman. if you like to fish, there's not a better place to stay. getting from the house to the beach to surf fish takes less than a minute. we walked up to the OBX Pier several times to fish, probably less than a 5 minute walk.

Very secluded and peaceful. Wish the weather had been better throughout our stay but it was very nice to wake up to the sound of the waves and nature. I will say if you have a toddler to make sure to take a safety gate. He made it a challenge wanting to climb the stairs so we went out to buy some for our stay. WiFi is spotty (which is a good thing) but I didn’t realize none of my messages were sent until this morning. My husband and son enjoyed some fishing and caught a few stingrays. I would love to go back later in the year.

This was our second visit at Nags Head at this location. It is a 5-minute walk to the public beach access, and just minutes from the main drag. Love the location which is close to where our daughter works, and the convenience to the local restaurants and tourist traps. A great location/value for the money!

This is a beautiful place and it's incredibly thoughtfully done! The screened porch is a DREAM. The house is full of thoughtful details, including plenty of beach towels, beach supplies, and pet-friendly items. We had no problem cooking at home with the fully stocked kitchen. It takes less than 5 minutes to walk to the beach, with the public access path almost across the street. I'd absolutely return!

We loved our time at A Stones Throw - perfect location across from a beautiful beach access, we loved all the outdoor decks and porches, comfortable furniture on each level, and beds were comfy. Huge table in living space for family dinner and games. We enjoyed the pool one day and the hot tub and also roasted marshmallows at the fire pit. It was a a really nice visit.

I had a wonderful experience staying at Nikki’s place for our beach trip. The location couldn’t have been better — The neighborhood was quiet, just a short walk to the beach, and close to great restaurants, ice cream, and shops! The home itself was spotless, and had everything I needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay! From the moment we booked, Nikki went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Communication was fast and friendly, and Nikki provided detailed check-in instructions, great local tips, and even a few personal touches that made us feel right at home. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing beach vacation — we can’t wait to come back!

I had a very enjoyable stay. The cottage was spotless, very clean, beds were comfortable, it was exactly how it is depicted and described. I needed a place to decompress after my dad’s funeral and this was just the place. I traveled with my German Shepherd and we were able to take long walks on the beach right across the street. The host was very responsive to any questions I had and communicated when the place was ready early. Would totally recommend.

Sarah was a great and responsive host and the location was absolutely beautiful, a nice private beach across the street, this stay at Sarahs helped make our trip as phenomenal as it was.

We had a great stay at Toes in the Sand. It was even better than pictured. I was originally worried from the photos that maybe you couldn’t see the ocean from the main living floor, but you absolutely can see the ocean from nearly everywhere in the house. It’s lovely. Such a charming house, quiet, beautiful beach, and near enough to groceries, gas, and anything else you’d need. Also, had a great Oceanside dinner at Fish Heads <30 min north! The place was exactly what we were looking for. We were in town for the Jazz Fest which was across the street, so it was perfect. The beach was a little bit of a walk, but wasn't the primary reason for our visit so it was fine. The place is really cute and comfortable.

Beautiful condo that is right on the water. The view from the balcony is worth staying at this condo. There is easy beach access and the condo is clean. It is the perfect size and location for a beach getaway. Gene is extremely friendly and responsive as well.

Absolutely phenomenal, 10 Star host!! Pat communicated with me throughout our booking and stay. During our stay we did have a few questions and she answered quickly. She has a convenient ice maker within the space and while we were there it broke. She immediately ordered a new one and was going to send Chuck to get us bags of ice until the new one arrived. We weren't worried about it but just the thought of them doing that was a plus! She met us at check-in and was very thorough explaining not just everything about the space but also a whole lot about the area, places to go, things to do and such. Both Pat and Chuck are extremely friendly and easy to talk to!! All the extras she included for us was absolutely amazing! She truly thinks about her guests and we could tell it's not just a money thing for them! Just as described, the beach is literally about 100 steps away and so totally enjoyable!! We will definitely be staying at Heathsville OBX in the near future! Thank you so, so much!

Beautiful, immaculate home! Very high end aesthetic, furniture, fixtures, dish-ware. The location has something to offer for all. The beach was a fairly short walk. The house came equipped with beach chairs, an umbrella, and a buggy to tote your items. I couldn’t have asked for a better environment. It’s a great house for a small group. I actually visited solo with my puppy and enjoyed having all the space.

Had a wonderful stay! Perfect for a small family. Katie was very easy to communicate with she answered all my questions in a timely manner. Will definitely be back.

Brittany was an excellent host who responded as soon as possible to any inquires or requests for accommodations. The house was perfect and absolutely stunning. With having a two year old with my family, there were toys there ready to play which made it even better! The view was spectacular and the hot tub was equally amazing. We had some car trouble during when packing our car during check out which made us late for check out time unfortunately and she was very friendly and understanding. The walk to the beach was easy and quick. No complaints at all! Definitely can’t wait to stay again (when the two year old isn’t teething and going through sleep regression lol). 10/10 highly recommend!

We loved Hygge By The Sea! It was a lovely one story home (one flight of stairs to access the house as is usual for the OBX) that fit our family perfectly. The house was spotless and so comfortable. We loved the laid back vibe and everyone felt right at home. Its location ocean front can't be beat.

We had such a great stay. The place had everything we needed, and the location was great- super close to everything but still nice and quiet at night. Definitely recommend staying here!”

Overall, this was a great vacation spot. Hosts were great! House was great! We had a small inconvenience with three people coming the first day to service different parts of the house, but once addressed the host’s accommodated our requests well. Location is nice!

I’ll review based on importance to me- First-very clean Second-very comfortable king size bed. My husband and I both slept great during g our stay Third-very conviene to beach. Easy walk to beach. I would highly recommend Amy’s place. I would suggest bringing a dish cloth and towel to help with dish cleanup. We bought a couple at the grocery store. Otherwise, nothing to add to Amy’s description. It met all of our needs and we had a fantastic stay.

Morgan's house is tastefully furnished and full of light. The kitchen is well equipped, beds comfortable, and everything very clean. The beach is very close and was absolutely glorious because we went out of season and although it was sunny and warm there were few people about - only a few locals fishing. The children appreciated all the equipment for building sandcastles. We found some good restaurants open.

Mark and Paul's place is beautiful. it is unfortunate that one of the properties across the road is in rough shape, but all other nearby properties are in excellent condition. The yard overlooking the canal is gorgeous. Do note that as with most properties in OBX, a flight of stairs is necessary to enter the house. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need and the bedrooms are extremely comfortable. Everything was spotless. We, unfortunately had rain, much of the time we were there, but did enjoy the exploring we could do. Absolutely recommend Sunrise Seafood, the fresh shrimp, crab cakes and swordfish were fabulous! Froggy Dog, ok, but not spectacular. We did enjoy Oceanas Bistro...especially the fresh tuna griller! Mark and Paul are not new to Air BNB and their attention to detail shows.

Had great time with my family Craig was great host. Everything was perfect and great location . Would love to come back again
