Fully equipped kitchen, your own washer and dryer, and a gas grill. There is a fire pit for the nights you want a campfire.

Welcome to The Lookout at Buckeye Lake! We stumbled upon this cozy cottage in the summer of 2018 and spent the next 12 months renovating the dream Buckeye Lake getaway. Our first project was an off-grid cabin featured on DIY Network’s Building Off The Grid. We took inspiration from that design to transform The Lookout into the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the lake. Located just 3 miles off I70, and walking distance to neighborhood favorite Papa Boos.

My wife and I bought this house at a sheriff sale. We didn’t buy it with our brain, we bought it with our heart. “How stupid was that” We couldn’t continue to watch this unique house continue its march toward too far gone to fix. Spend time playing air hockey or ping pong in the front room off of the living room, soak in the hot tub, relax by the gas or wood fire pits, play yard games, or grill, and eat in the covered gazebo.
