What a special place! I wish I had booked for longer. Otters Rest is is found in a quiet, secluded and private little nook of Clitheroe. The river right underneath you is the most relaxing sound, and the place itself is just stunning. Even the small details down to the underfloor heating in the bathroom and the glass ceiling which makes you feel as though you are showering in the woods… it was perfect. Thoroughly recommend this place to anyone looking for some peace and tranquility in a stunning little sun trap ☀️

Su is a fantastic warm, friendly and very accommodating host. The cabin is beautiful and very well equipped. The location is perfect for exploring nearby villages and is quiet and cosy. We had a wonderful night here

Folks travelling to Moorland, this is the place to stay. Get in the farmland, lose yourself unto nature. Heavens fall here. Special mention of the sheep and Cheddar, the cheesecat. Children enjoyed their hearts out with them. We rolled on the meadows, walked around and mesmerized every moment. Suzanne was very kind and helpful. She gave us extra utensils to cook a basic meal for my children. The outdoor cooking unit was great. Though its very windy, still the gas worked really well. Moorland and Serenity will be etched on our minds forever. We definitely recommend to all. Please come and stay.

Lovely little place, perfect for a get away break. The hottub was great to relax in. The goats are gorgeous and so friendly. The family dog was a welcome visitor. Amazing to sit and listen to the birds and look at the beautiful scenery.

I had an absolutely blissful stay at Johns place. It was wonderful to be surrounded by so many lovely animals, and the views from inside the hut are incredible. A very special spot.

We stayed here for a break away from our home renovations and I can’t explain how peaceful and lovely it was. Fiona met us on arrival and was so helpful with showing us around, brought us some milk and was really friendly. The accommodation itself was beautiful with some stunning finishing touches, the sun beds under the pergola were a dream with a morning coffee and we enjoyed watching some DVDs and seeing all the animals and wildlife. We spent the day in the Yorkshire Dales which is always beautiful and we can’t wait to return to Fiona’s place and experience it all again!

My Partner and I loved our stay here. From the views to the cute little hut, it was everything we needed. Great to just get away from the world for a while. Definitely recommend. Top tier and very homely. We took advantage of the hot tub on a night and watched the stars with a bottle of wine and strawberries. We had a takeaway on our first night from The Taste of India which was unreal and then cooked burgers and sausages on the BBQ the next nights, even treated ourselves to bacon butties in the mornings with a view. Can’t forget to mention the cutest sheep and their lambs, adorable. Overall the best little get away with perfect weather to accompany it.

We really loved our stay. The cabin was clean and tidy when we arrived. It had all the amenities we needed for the stay from the kettle, fridge and utensils all the way to the towel and body wash. Honestly you could come unprepared and it will be fine.

Had a fabulous stay , the property is beautifully presented , nice touches Prosecco and beer on arrival . Plenty of places to explore. Would definitely return Thank you

Very beautiful peaceful area, Nic's place was clean and cosy, had everything you need, it was private but there was another hut just next to us which surprised us. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and beautiful views, I recommend this to anyone who wants to relax and escape city noises.

Lovely little place for our mini getaway. Set in gorgeous and private location, we even had the pleasure of seeing deer, rabbits, ducks and the farm dogs during our stay. The toilet was a little different than we are use to but did not impact our stay. Would recommend.

Fantastic stay at this wonderful country cabin! So much more spacious than we expected, with the added luxury of a hot tub and BBQ facilities. The big garden and onsite parking were greatly appreciated. A truly lovely location and fantastic host. Would highly recommend.

We had a lovely stay. It was my partner and I’s first trip away and we had our doggie too! Instructions were very clear and was able to find the lodge easily when using What3Words. The lodge was in impeccable condition and we were welcomed with some milk, butter, bread and doggie treats! Thank you so much! Gorgeous area that we’d like to return to one day! Highly recommend. We had an amazing weekend at the Barn Owl Shepherds Hut. It was in a very private location with beautiful views. The accommodation had everything we needed. It felt very luxurious with added extras like the welcome hamper and hot tub making it extra special. It was the perfect setting for a marriage proposal (she said 'Yes'!).

Absolutely perfect. Very peaceful and a great location for venturing into the city of York. The Hideway was exceptionally clean and included everything needed for a peaceful getaway. Kathryn, our host, was friendly, welcoming and attentive and made us feel right at home. Great value and would most certainly stay again. Tilly, the doggo is lovely too.

We absolutely adored our stay in the Little Barn. We felt so at home there. Everything about it was really comfortable - the sofa, the bed (REALLY comfy!), the furnishings, and the warmth of the place (good heating). The kitchen had all that we needed, and we loved being able to use the outdoor pizza oven, enjoying homemade pizzas and a bottle of Prosecco on the last night (Rebecca had very kindly left us the Prosecco and lots of other lovely things; eggs, coffee capsules for the coffee machine, some lovely chocolate - thank you so much!). The surroundings are really cool - the moors are so different to what we’re used to (coming from Hampshire/Surrey) and the walks through them and out onto the Dales were just spectacular. The view from the cottage was very cute; sheep and rabbits nearby. The cottage has books in it with great suggestions as to what to do/where to go, which we used to plan our outings. Truly a wonderful stay and we will definitely be coming back!

This Shepherd’s Hut is gem on the Pennine Way. The hut is very sweet and cosy and perfect for a night or two. View from the window is over the sheep fields and we spend the evening sitting outside, watching swifts, swallow allows and house martins circling above us. The host could not have been more friendly and helpful and we felt at home straight from the start. We couldn’t recommend this place any more especially if you are hiking the Pennine Way and want somewhere special to stay.

Second time we have booked with Jess and have not been disappointed. Great to stay away in the countryside where it was completely private/secluded. Nothing beats a cosy place to stay whilst relaxing in a hot tub under the night sky. Would recommend and Jess was fab

Such a beautiful place. Was so peaceful and relaxing. Would 100% come back and recommend.

Maddy was so warm and welcoming which definitely was one of the reasons our stay was perfect! The Spot was gorgeous and so cosy inside, we only stayed one night as a spur of the moment night away but would definitely have stayed longer if we had more time! Her two friendly dogs greeted us at the car and we got shown round to the spot. She provided wood for both the outside firepit and indoor wood burner, and food for the sheep and alpacas. The dogs have got puppies so we’re able to see those too! It is also in such a good area and had amazing views, which we took in sat around the firepit! I could not fault anything in this stay and honestly was so so much better than we could have hoped. Me and my partner would definitely come again if we get the chance to! (plus in regards to the comfort of the bed, we both said that we’ve not slept that well in ages!)

Louise has clearly put a lot of thought and effort into the Shepards hut. It’s such a cosy little space and had everything you need. The shower is excellent and there are plenty of pots and pans to cook. The location is exactly as described. I found the parking a little difficult due to the concrete bollards so if you have a big or expensive car it might be worth parking further up the road. The other thing to note is that the hut is located in a sheep field. It was fine for me as I grew up in the countryside but for those that didn’t, it’s worth noting you have to walk through it to get to the hut. Sheep can be quite noisy and smelly. They also attract a lot of flies. Overall, the hut is a perfect getaway and I would definitely come back again in future. Thanks again for hosting me.
