Our small and cozy hotel has a very convenient location. The hotel is located just next to train station Koog aan de Zaan. From here it takes only 15 minutes to Amsterdam city center, 10 minutes to the famous dutch windmill village Zaanse Schans and 5 minutes to the center of Zaandam. Here you can find many shops, bars and restaurants. The rooms are just newly renovated and every room has a new private bathroom. This room also has a roofterrace. Perfect for families or small groups, the Deluxe Quad Room combines comfort and flexibility. The sleeping arrangements include a double bed (160 × 200 cm) and a sofa bed (140 × 200 cm), best suited for two children or one adult. Each room also features a private bathroom, a kitchenette with stovetop and fridge, and a dining table with chairs for meals or work. Locals and travellers alike come to catch some rays on our terrace, sticking around for an affordable dinner and some free cultural nourishment.

There is great history behind the hotel. The Vergulden Eenhoorn was established in 1702 as a city farm and used to be one of very few farmhouses the city of Amsterdam has. Together with the city of Amsterdam the farmhouse was fully renovated to modern standards, while maintaining the historic value and its features.
