Holiday houses in Zaanstad

Fred and Kelly’s place is absolutely wonderful. We stayed because the price was better and there was a little more room than many places directly in the city. Though we looked forward to it, we didn’t expect to fall in love with it…and we did! Staying outside of the city is pretty great. It’s a 10ish minute walk to the train station, and then an easy navigation to wherever you need to go. We didn’t mind the “commute” a bit, and it was nice to start off and wind down in a quieter setting. The place itself is well kept, clean, and cozy. The beds were comfortable and the shower was hot with good pressure. We enjoyed casting Netflix on the TV with the fireplace on in the evenings, and we spent a couple of mornings in the garden. We booked this spot our entire stay, but also spent one night in Amsterdam to experience “city life,” and also spent one night in Utrecht. These were perfect additions to our home base plan. I’d definitely stay here again!

a very nice location , quiet, great view, well decorated modern rental with the essentials inside, bikes available for free. Wilf is very nice giving all the instructions very clear and useful upon arrival and is available if other needs. it was perfect for a relaxing weekend near Amsterdam🤩🤩🤩

It was a wonderful stay! The place was very nice, furnished with a lot of love for detail. You felt very comfortable right away. We were able to use the bikes on site, which was perfect for exploring the area there! Always happy to come back!! :)

We really enjoyed this quiet neighborhood and the comfortable apartment. Beds were super comfy, lots of homey touches that made us feel welcome. The bus is convenient to getting to Amsterdam center and the train station is a lovely walk along the canal and through the heart of Zaandam.

We spent 10 long days in Zaandam while preparing and working in a fair. Margot has been absolutely great in taking care of us, and it's the space was good although smaller than expected (and quite cold even with heating..). Note: you are in Zaandam, not Amsterdam.. but it's a lovely area and very well connected with trains which gets you everywhere but will take around half an hour to get to Amsterdam Central. Quite honestly Zaandam was such a cute town! very pleasant and with everything you need. In case you don't have to go to Amsterdam, you got everything there.. If I'd have to give a feedback, I would personally need a stove in an apartment, even if small (2 stoves are enough) people have to be able to cook for themselves if needed. I missed an home cooked meal! All considered, good stay and great hosts you will be in good hands.

A lovely, cosy accommodation with beautiful surroundings and had everything we needed for our stay. Would definitely recommend hiring the bikes for getting around. Thank you again!

The best Airbnb I've stayed at so far, the house was far more spacious and nice than the photos, very clean and comfortable and welcoming.Ans&Jan was super awesome, let's drop off luggage early and give us a lot of help, thank them so much. The house is only about 8 minutes walk from Zaandijk Zaanstreek Schans Station, and only 18 minutes by train to Amsterdam Centraal Station.This is a very peaceful and beautiful town, and the Windmill Village is not far from here.The house has two spacious bedrooms upstairs and a lovely living room downstairs as well as an oversized and fully equipped dining room with thoughtful instructions for appliances in various languages.We stayed here for seven nights and were very reluctant to leave, I wish I had the opportunity to visit again, a great place highly recommended.

Staying with Fred and Anita was a dream. The location is immersed in nature, with swans, ducks, ducklings and chickens to keep us company. They were super helpful, also providing us with the bike for a ride. Rich and great breakfast.
