Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Alto Alentejo

The apartment is great, the spaces are nicely distributed and very comfortable. The area is very good, many restaurants and food shops nearby, although being the pedestrian street you have to move with luggage from where the car is parked (there is blue area quite close, although being maritimo promenade, you are not always lucky to find something free). Candida was lovely and at check in, gave up local knowledge and tour of house, which was clean and very functional. They had a hair dryer, nice when traveling to not need your own or worry with voltage and a small space heater which was nice for our unusually cold days. There's two bedrooms, one with a comfortable bed (not too firm or too soft) and one that was a bit thinner and softer, so you have options! There was an induction stove top and microwave with a convection feature, good for warming things though probably not good for baking. The only con was unfortunately the towels and sheets are washed in a strongly scented detergent-common for Portugal but still bothersome. The location has great parking very close and free and is in a lovely neighborhood.

We were great at this cozy little house. We were made to short the stay and we left this little paradise wanting to stay more days. In case of visiting this area again we will repeat without thinking twice. Thank you Anna

The accommodation is as described. Quiet and interesting area for nearby routes, sea or mountain routes, the area is great. Anabela attentive and helpful. Very good experience.

Annemies place is perfect, this is our second time here and can safely say we will 100% be back again, Annemie is also the perfect host, whenever there is an issue she will be right on it and is unbelievably friendly and helpful

A place that will miss you, a house where all the details have been thought through in detail, with affection and love. This house has all the amenities a guest might want but its success goes far beyond that. João and everyone involved is to be congratulated for what they have built!

We had a great stay here, it was perfect for our family vacation. The house is beautiful and very well taken care of, with spacious bedrooms, a large family room and well-equipped kitchen. The garden and pool were also lovely - private and quiet and a great place to hang out. The beach and train station were both a short walk, and Estoril is well-situated for trips to Lisbon and Cascais or to explore towns along the coast. Catarina was a fantastic host and Dona Gilda helped with anything we needed during the stay.

Sonia and simon were great hosts. Very responsive, the house is beautiful. We didn't take time to explore the immediate neighbourhood, but the train station is very close by, probably 1 mile, walkable, with fast and frequent trains into Lisbon. We got an uber a couple of times to Praia Fonta da Telha which was stunning, was about 9 euros. The villa is stunning and the heated pool was great for our kids. All in all a great stay, fantastic access to Lisbon via the train and to the beaches.

The place was idyllic and peaceful. Very suitable for two adults and two dogs. The fence surrounds a beautiful yard and the apartment was wonderfully personal. The fireplace burned trees every night because the evenings were cool and it brought a lovely vibe. Carlos was super when he brought us more trees when we ran out of firewood. The photos matched the apartment and yard well. It was a good value.

This Airbnb was exactly what my group was looking for! The house looked just like the photos, and the hosts were incredibly accommodating. Upon check-in, we were warmly welcomed by Rudy’s mother, Sylvie, who kindly introduced us to the space. The pool and outdoor seating area were lovely additions, and having a walkable grocery store nearby was super convenient. Rudy and Sylvie were very responsive and made us feel truly welcome. We would absolutely stay here again—thanks for a wonderful experience!

We were a group of 10 people and the house met expectations. It was impeccably clean, with enough space for everyone and a beautiful view that made the stay even more enjoyable. The play areas were undoubtedly a strong point and helped make the weekend a lot of fun. The only thing we missed, being a large group, was a dishwasher, it had worked out. Still, we recommend and would consider going back.

Andrea and James are by car the best hosts I’ve had ever encountered. We had the “blessing” of arriving to Lisbon on the black out day and even without any electricity, our stay was magical. The jacuzzi was still warm so me and my partner spent the night stargazing and enjoying the bubbly wine that kindly Andrea left it for us. This property is a true oasis and a romantic escape, it has anything you’ll need for a long holiday . Their 2 little furry friends were the highlight if you enjoy the company of dogs as much as we do, we felt so welcomed and loved by them! We truly wish that we had spent our two nights in Lisbon at Andrea’s place. Highly recommend it 🫶

The place was very quiet, with a nice garden area. We didn’t even feel that the owner’s family was living upstairs, since we didn’t hear any noise at all. We had all the amenities needed, and slept very well in comfy beds. The fact that we were allowed to use the parking inside the house was very handy. The communication with Angelina was very easy and she responded promptly to our questions. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a nice quiet neighborhood, with easy access to Lisbon and Cascais/Sintra areas.

We have stayed in Vladimir’s apartment two years in a row. In our view, the apartment is excellent and Vladimir js a fantastic host.

Paulo was helpful & communicative. He made the process of getting into the apartment very easy, and the space was great for me as a solo traveler. Great location. Despite being on the ground floor it is a quiet street, there is occasional street noise but it is barely an issue - few cars or pedestrians pass on this street.

Absolute peace! We had three wonderful days with Sonia with the best sunsets. Rarely had such a clean kitchen. Very nice family, children are a bit older and therefore very quiet. Super fast response and always available. We will be back :-)

The hut is super cute and not far from the city. It was a comfortable stay!!

The location is perfect, with direct access to the beach and it has a private little spot in the sand near the door to enjoy the view of the lagoon, only a few meters from the waters edge. I highly recommend!

It exceeded my expectations. The cottage is exactly as described and the outside area is much better in person. Mariana and Daniel are super attentive and proactive. They quickly helped me close some gaps in the fence that my smaller dog could get through. They recommend great restaurants and what to explore in the vicinity. I really felt at home. I hope to return more often. Thank you:)

Beautiful and comfortable home. Wonderful hosts who catered to our one year old with cot, high chair and toys brilliantly. Lots of interesting places to visit nearby, Sintra and Belém were probably our favourites (20 and 40 minute drive away respectively). Lots of animals too which kept the little one entertained. Would recommend to anyone!

My dog and I had a wonderful stay. We felt at home. The house has all the amenities, comfort and best sunset views. I highly recommend this place.
