Monthly Rentals in Wiveliscombe

We had a lovely time staying above the Bear Inn at Camilla's flat. The location is great - opposite the White Hart and above the Bear Inn - and a minute walk from the co-op. Sadly, we didn't get a chance to eat downstairs as we were meeting friends/down for a wedding etc - but they had a mussel festival on which sounded great and the BBQ looked delicious. Camilla greeted us straight away, showed us around and was really friendly and helpful - she even left scones and milk for us to enjoy. Great value, especially if there are five guests splitting the cost. Slightly noisy on the street at night for 2/3 bedrooms, but that wasn't a major issue for us. Gorgeous upstairs bathroom and there were lots of plates, glasses, cutlery etc - and an iron!

Fiona is a really excellent host, so friendly and welcoming. She even sent back to us via the post some things we left behind, which was so kind. It was really sweet, charming decor (Fiona clearly has excellent taste) and 2 great sized double beds. Surrounding countryside was lovely with lots of great walks from the house. It’s all on one level (the only stairs are to go up to the entrance) so worked well with us and our 2 small children. The only watch out I would have are the beams in the kitchen are quite low so one to be aware of if you are tall. Definitely one we would come back to again

Lovely location, on a second floor, with a nice balcony by the front door, overlooking a cricket pitch and rolling hills. Denise and her family are lovely and there are some great pub restaurants in the village. We will definitely stay here again when visiting our local friends. The place was bright, clean and very welcoming.

Maggie and Grahams place is so idyllic and peaceful and has the most amazing views. They are very welcoming and provided freshly baked bread and biscuits as well as homemade marmalade and eggs laid by their hens - all delicious and a real treat. I will definitely be back again. Thank you for looking after me so well.
