Monthly Rentals in Wilburton

Beautifully unique cabin. Beds were comfortable. Outdoor wood chairs comfortable. One perch caught. Something big broke our pole. Lighting out front by fire pit was nice. Need more lighting by parking and if we had used propane grill. I cooked over the fire. It was perfect since I had a foil pan. Or bring cast iron skillet. Love that outdoor and indoor games provided. It felt like a mountain adventure as we live where it is more flat and a lot less trees. Creeks flowing into ponds was nice to listen too. I felt safe during severe storms in the partially buried shipping containers cabin. NOAA weather radio was provided. Point antenna at door. Or take outside. So many frog sounds. Never knew they could sound like sheep! Clayton lake, quiet. Not many visitors on Memorial weekend. Sardis lake looked like great fishing below the dam. Robbers cave had kayaking, paddle boat, mini golf, swimming, fishing and a cave. We didn't get to experience, it stormed the whole time. We would return.

This is the SECOND time that we have stayed at the MK Bunkaroo and plan to come back next year! Dana and Kathy are the perfect hosts; are very special people. The private, peaceful surroundings with friendly dogs, cows, horses, chickens, etc heard in the background transported us to a serene ranch environment. It transports us to time away from 'real life'. The MK Bunkaroo is adorable and is very comfortable inside. Again, we plan to come back; it's a special place.

Airbnb review: We booked this stay last minute, and it turned out to be such a great experience. The cabin is absolutely adorable—cozy, very clean, and had a relaxing vibe. The host was incredibly accommodating given the short notice and communicated quickly and clearly throughout. The road leading up to the cabin is a bit rough, with a big hill and some bumpy spots. It’s doable, but something to be aware of—especially if you’re arriving at night or in a low-clearance vehicle. Overall, a wonderful stay and we’d definitely come back!
