Lisa & Antony were really lovely and welcoming. Thank you for the beach and hiking tips! The accommodation was quaint, and had a certain romance to it. It was easy to find, clean and comfortable.

Myself, my mother and my 4 year old daughter stayed at Amy’s. The place was perfect and we appreciated the little touches - my daughter especially enjoyed the chocolate on her pillow 😆. The place was private, the kitchen was well equipped and we really enjoyed our stay. Thanks Amy and Clare!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Lisa and Anthony. They are very welcoming and their place has a great, homely feel. The surrounding nature is very relaxing and is close to Waipu. Mangawhai is a short 15 minute drive. The accommodation was also well priced. We would recommend staying here if you are looking for that traditional homestead feel with welcoming hosts.

We had a wonderful stay at Ryan’s place! The house is truly special — full of character and charm, with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The highlight for us was definitely the pool — the kids absolutely loved it and spent hours splashing and playing. Ryan was a great host, responsive and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend this home for families looking for a fun and memorable stay!

We had an absolutely gorgeous stay at this property. I wish we were there for more than one night! The hosts were so friendly and we were blown away by the beautiful surroundings and comfort of our cottage. Everything was perfectly clean and we felt right at home. The views, especially from the shared pool and spa area are unbeatable. We also loved feeding the sheep who live on the property! I highly recommend booking as it was one of the highlights of our 3-weeks in New Zealand.

Such a beautiful and peaceful location with an amazing view. Gorgeous house with the polished concrete floors. If there was a spa on the deck it would be perfect. There’s not blackout curtains per the advertisement (which was attractive as we enjoy the darkness) Proactive contact from the hosts. We will be back.

Superb little apartment - glorious view of sunrise over sparkling water. Sailboats bobbing on their tethers, cheeky air and land birds feeding and calling in the gardens at the edge of the deck. Comfy chairs positions with plenty of cushions and lap blankets to make the most of the setting evening sun on our backs. Bed was extremely comfortable, lovely bedding. Bathroom clean, spacious and very well appointed. Great BBQ, good 2 burner cooker, oven looked good but we didn’t use on this visit. Apartment was stuffed to bursting full of goodies to make use of - every drawer and the fridge filled with every implement/condiment/sauce/spice you might want to use. Manon and Neville were very generous, attentive hosts - thank you.

We had a lovely 2 night stay - quiet, private and tranquil with beautiful views of rolling hills and paddocks. Kelly is an excellent communicator and swift to assist. Everything is as described; the listing descriptions are well-crafted with honesty and integrity. Happy to have found this place and would recommend to others!

Chris gave us a great welcome with a bottle of wine on arrival. She was very accommodating and let our kids feed the alpacas which was a great experience for them. Tidy house, very short drive to 2 great beaches.

Wow. What a place to take a peaceful, relaxing family holiday. This place has it all, views, space, peacefulness, awesome property and amazing host. Spent 5 days here over Christmas with the family and it was amazing, stuff for the younger ones today and plenty of different spaces for the adults to hang out in and enjoy. The rural views and harbour views are exceptional. Great little Cabin off to the side which was perfect for my nephew and partner so they had their own little spot. Winston the cat, what a character he is, loved having him and the other animals around. The whole family loved having this spot to relax, play and be together. Loved it so much we will be coming back for sure. Thanks so much to Kate and her family for allowing us to stay in their home. Kate was such an amazing host, could not of asked for anything more.

One of our best stays, beautiful little cabin with comfy bed, smart tv on a moveable arm and super clean. Obviously the animals were a standout! Beautiful pasture with friendly animals wanting to eat out of your hand with food provided. Just an immaculate stay which is now high up on our list of accommodations we’ve ever stayed at!!

A beautiful place to stay, we loved it! Just a shame that we only stayed for one night. We loved waking up to see the animals and it was incredibly peaceful. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend.

It was a lovely relaxing spot to spend a week in a rural setting with sea views out to the Poor Knights islands. A large property, accessed off a private road so very secluded and peaceful. Handy location half way between Matapouri Bay and Tutukaka, although you do need a car to go anywhere. Kitchen was very well equipped including basic supplies. Access to an indoor swimming pool, ability to charge the EV, and use of the laundry was a bonus. The hosts were very welcoming on arrival and explained the facilities and beach access path. Special touches were a bottle of wine and locally made nut brittle on arrival, and acknowledgement of our wedding anniversary which was during our stay. Annette and Bianca were super helpful and responded promptly to any questions.

This place is wonderful. A gorgeous setting with amazing views. Very private but convenient drive into the town which has a small grocery, some restaurants and stores and activities. It was well furnished and comfortable. I’d return in a heartbeat. I just wish we had more time.

We loved the house definitely old school with gorgeous original features and beautifully maintained. We applaud their decision to keep the original charm and integrity of the property which gives it a unique, calm feeling. We had our family Christmas lunch here sitting under the huge tōtara tree surrounded by fields and joined by the friendly cows. Peter was fantastic at communicating and responded quickly to all questions. I would absolutely recommend this property it has everything - the get-away-from-it-all feeling, close to town and the beautiful beaches not far away. Thank you for having us. Jody b

We really enjoyed our stay at Vinkal’s place! The accommodation was clean, beautifully maintained, and exactly as described in the listing. Vinkal was an excellent host, warmly welcoming us and giving us a tour of their beautiful garden, which made the experience even more special. We also made use of the BBQ, with all the necessary equipment already provided. The whole stay exceeded our expectations, and we would highly recommend Vinkal’s place to anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable getaway! 10/10

Beautiful farm with beautiful animals! We got to feed the goats and pet the horses! The cabin is cute and cozy. The bathroom was clean. The hot tub was relaxing. The hosts were wonderful and Toni even made us breakfast and coffee which was delicious. Would come again!
