Cooler than your average stay - Glamourous Camping

MichelleRating, 5 stars7 months ago
We had the absolute best fall weekend at "the Kayaker." We are already planning next fall. The tent had every amenity you could want and was so cozy (I brought a stack of blankets and never needed them)! The bed was so very comfortable. The lodge was much nicer than we anticipated and I don't think I've ever seen a campground bathhouse SO nice! We loved how private our glamping tent was but how easy it was to walk everywhere else. One night it drizzled and it was just so cozy inside our tent to play a game by lamplight with the little propane heater on. The fall colors were spot on and we were nice and close to hiking and mountain biking as well as an apple orchard, Wineries, breweries and shops! Can't ask for anything more!

Camping in Fletcher | Tents

KelseaRating, 5 stars68 months ago
Such a great spot. The property is beautiful, cozy, and has great views. The glamping set up was perfect for our needs. Having a real, cozy, blanket covered bed was amazing. Tent was spacious and we felt we had everything we needed for our trip. We extra enjoyed the amazing brewery / beer stop down the road called Whistle Hop. Tent came with electricity hook up and a space heater. We camped in some freezing weather and were beyond warm and cozy. There's a cute barn cat who stopped by but our jerk dog scared him off. Bonus points to the host who came out in the cold around midnight to make sure our electricity, and our connection to the space heater, worked after the heater tripped the breAker. Host made sure we were cozy and had everything we needed, even late!

*ALL GEAR INCLUSIVE!* Camp Uptown Backwoods (CUB)

TamarRating, 5 stars10 months ago
Wow! Awesome place! We stayed here for 2 nights and had the most wonderful time having a campfire under the stairs, playing board games together, exploring (beautiful) nearby waterfalls and spending the afternoon in waterfall infinity pools together. Greg is by far the best host we have ever had - he is communicative, helpful, responsive, personable and goes out of his way to make sure you enjoy your time. The campsite set up had everything you could need - clearly designed by someone with lots of camping experience who knows what amenities make for the most enjoyable stay. The tent was spacious, the beds were comfortable, the shower was easy to use (and warm), and the kitchen set up was easy to navigate. Great stay where special memories were made!

Lakefront Tent Site #2

AmandaRating, 5 stars10 months ago
this was my second time here and I once again had a great time. i had to borrow the air pump from the Marina and I really appreciated not having to pay a fee and the Marina was more then happy to help. very friendly fellow campers in the RV at the top of the hill from the tent site. they were just as friendly and helpful during our first stay as well. honestly y'all have made us feel more then welcomed during both of our stays. my son is 8 and has special needs and can sometimes be loud or overwhelmingly friendly to strangers but never once has anyone made us feel like we were a bother and I can't tell you how appreciative I am of that. we will definitely be coming back. thank you for the hospitality of the entire Marina!

Gypsy's BoHo Retreat

EmilyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The camp is quiet and easy to find. It was exactly as described and had all of the amenities needed for glamping. They had everything you need for the grill or your firepit on site, which was thoughtful. Also space for badminton or football/frisbee. I would stay here again!

Comfy Safari Tent in Brasstown NC

MeaganRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
The Renew glamping tent was a perfect stay for our long weekend. It was very dog friendly! This tent would have been great for a family with children to bring. The stream, fire pit, garden and cooking common area were all that was needed. However, if you venture out, Brasstown is just a walk away to cute Boutique shops and restaurants. This spots about a 30 minute drive to Nantahala rafting companies and right at an hour for Cherokee, NC. Murphy and Andrews are also close by. Everything was spotless and peaceful. We will be returning to rent out the whole area with all the family!!

Pony Field tent site at Whippoorwill Hill

JaredRating, 5 stars9 months ago
I was a bit worried about being able to find the spot but there was plenty of signs directing to the site. It's definitely an AWD trail, the loaded down stock Subaru had 0 problems or clearance issues though. It was a nice private spot on a hill where you can watch the horses and ponies play around. There were other farm animals around as well but none of them made any noise at night. The site had a fire pit with some wood, a compost toilet (we used wag bags), trash can, and a 50gal water drum with a shower head (super useful). To get to the water it was a short drive maybe 5min but it was nice and refreshing. There are a few waterfalls and trails close by. We ended up going to Devils Bath Tube which was a nice hike and great swim (~40min drive). Cell service (Verizon) was maybe 1 bar here and there which was great because it kept me away from the phone. The trip was well worth it with a great spot, very friendly host and lots of animals that are very friendly and tame.

Big Sky Shelter

LaurenRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
Todd’s place was the perfect weekend getaway. The view is amazing and we got a very epic sunset and the location is also good for stargazing on a clear night. The land is spacious with multiple options to set up camp. We chose to set up camp at the bottom of the hill to avoid wind which worked out perfectly and we used the fire pit near that shelter for relaxing. We used the shelter for cooking with our camping stove and some yoga. We had no wildlife encounters other than a welcomed toad that hung out by the fire with us. We would absolutely come back and recommend to others. While 2w drive would be fine in non-rain conditions, I would not recommend a low profile car.

Glamping Creekside in the Smoky Mountains

RicardoRating, 5 stars3 months ago
This was the most wonderful experience we have ever had. It was peaceful, our hosts were very accommodating, kind, welcoming and communicated rapidly. Anytime we had an issue (which was very rare if at all) they came by immediately. The plot of land the tent we stayed in is on is vast with a trail up the mountain, nearby bathrooms, a creek and rather easy to navigate roads. We came in a 2008 Volvo all the way from Florida and it powered through these mountain roads. There’s plenty of general stores and restaurants nearby as well. We are actively planning to come back in June and honestly want to move out here in the near future. Gatlinburg was 20 minutes away but we found the campsite and nearby experiences to be worth more than a day in Gatlinburg. Shockingly no bears were seen, at best we heard smaller animals at night. Firewood is available as well in large bundles for a fair price. We ache for this place everyday since leaving, by far the best experience of our lives.
