Barn accommodation in Western North Carolina

I really enjoyed my stay here and I wish we could’ve extended. Amenities were as described and rooms were clean. It’s the little things about this place that make it special. Being around the nature was also very relaxing. Would book again :)

Jana's space was absolutely perfect for our family. We loved the trails and the tree houses were magical. The few bear sightings were a cherry on top for us. They were never too close but was fantastic to see. We will definitely visit again

What a lovely, unique place for a getaway! Whether it's a romantic mini-moon or a weekend in the woods with your besties, this spot is beautiful and so memorable. From taking an afternoon nap in the hammock on the deck to a midnight bath in the tub next to the river, this place is full of lovely and comforting details to make your stay perfect. The kitchen is crazy well equipped, the towels are plush and high quality, the linens are soft, the fireplace easy to use, the windows afford gorgeous views without feeling like you're being stared at, and the sound of the rushing river right outside your door is just wonderful. Kangee herself is so warm and inviting, her detailed instructions make it easy to find things to do and places to eat, she's friendly and so patient and understanding when there's a mishap. Great location with an excellent host. Strongly considering going back with more friends next time. Thanks Kangee!

This was our first experience at The Barn and with Scotty. Our goal was a place where we could gather our two daughters and their families for New Years; Three couples, two college age daughters (and 1 boyfriend), and an 11 year old, active grandson. The sleeping quarters were perfect with predominantly king or queen beds (all comfortable) and private baths. The inside was spacious and allowed separate activities and quiet reading areas, and separate TV room. Wi-Fi worked great but we resisted being on it. Had a fire in the fireplace one cold night; everything worked and firewood provided. Two other nights we gathered around the fire pit outside for hours with s’mores. There was a huge swing (from a tree limb), plenty of room for soccer and wiffleball games. Exterior lighting at night was wonderful. We walked around the neighborhood freely with no fear or apprehension. It is “country” and a great place to escape, gather, and focus on family and friends like bygone days

We just stayed at the Dream Rock Silo bungalow for the 6th time, and every visit has been wonderful. Karen and Bill always make us feel like family. They are exceptional hosts, and their attention to detail and their creativity are amazing. The bungalow is super clean, comfortable, well-crafted, and beautifully furnished and decorated. Outside is always peaceful and relaxing with beautiful views, gardens, rocks, and a stream. We love the very friendly, entertaining shepherds, Max and Joe, who spend every waking minute on our covered patio and in the yard playing ball. The sweet older husky, Folger, also spends time with us and gives us a “lean in”. We rarely leave the property and didn’t leave at all this time. We’re already planning our next visit and can't wait to get back to Dream Rock.

A great place to stay if you are looking for a cozy, quiet getaway. The property is lovely and has a great view! The hosts were very welcoming and responsive when we had questions about our stay. We look forward to staying here again in the future!

Had an amazing weeklong stay at the Appalachian Villa! It was exactly what we were looking for. Close to the National Park but in a more quiet, small town setting than the busy Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg (but close enough to drive there if we wanted). The cabin was really clean, modern, cozy, and well-kept. The view was breathtaking; I can’t imagine anywhere with a better view. Right now is the off season so many of the trees are still bare, but even then the view is beautiful! Hot tub was amazing to relax in. The only thing to keep in mind is that there is a LOT of natural light because of the big beautiful windows. So if sleeping in the loft, you will get all of that light as soon as the sun rises. In the main level bedroom there are nice blinds, but the sunlight is so bright that there is still a lot of light that comes through, which had our 1 year old waking up at 6am (3am our time!). Vino was really friendly and responsive! Would love to stay here again during the summertime!

There are so many wonderful things to say about the big red barn! The bedding was so clean, it was the perfect location for riding trails, it’s an adorable place. Plenty of space so we didn’t feel cramped parking a truck and trailer (never even had to back up) lots of outdoor living spaces, chairs/tables/grills etc. Tony made check in a breeze and was a wonderful host. We will absolutely be returning and bringing the family.

We truly loved our visit to Asheville and having the opportunity to stay at this charming AirBnB. Celeste was always responsive, and we were excited to have such a unique place to stay with a lovely view and the woods just behind us. We know the hosts have been working hard over the last two months after the hurricane, and we were grateful they were able to open up this spot for a cozy stay while we were there to visit our son over the Thanksgiving break. We hope to stay here again in the future.

This home is absolutely stunning and incredibly peaceful. It was the perfect location for a restorative weekend with good friends to be cozy and to explore the surrounding area. If you are craving beauty and magic and sweet serene vibes, do not hesitate to book. We loved utilizing the gorgeous kitchen for home cooked meals and sitting by the fire pit all afternoon and into the evening gazing at the full moon. The beds are also like sleeping on a cloud with fabulous soft linens. Can't wait for the chance to return. Seriously, one of the best homes I've had the pleasure of staying in.

Absolutely beautiful property and the Airbnb was extremely spacious and well kept.

The perfect mountainside getaway! Watching the sunrise over the mountains on the porch while the cows ate their breakfast was so cozy/peaceful. Not far from town and easy to come and go from!

This place was adorable! The rustic theme was on point. It had a beautiful peaceful environment. The amenities and attention to detail were on par with a 5-star hotel. And, above all, it was very clean. I would definitely stay again.

Pictures do not do this place justice! We stayed at Heavenly Retreat with 6 adult women for a friends weekend away. We had more than enough room for all of us. Every little detail was beautifully thought out. Every sleeping area is adorable. Kitchen & bathrooms are stocked with more than you would ever need. We are already planning our trip back next year!

Staying at this horse, stable converted into a home was a unique experience in itself. Don’t pass up the opportunity. You won’t believe all the special touches that Evan has made to the inside of the property. The kitchen was unbelievably modern. High-end appliances and every possible thing you would need to cook. Even had coffee(2 diff kinds of coffee makers)some staples, a lot of staples actually. Most places are really skimpy with TP, dish detergent, laundry detergent, etc. This place had it all. The main thing about it was how it was converted. It is just amazing. You must see it.

Elizabeth’s places are so convenient for our family when they come to town Super clean , affordable and right in town for anything our guests need. Thankful to have her as a neighbor and a host

We loved this place! It was awesome having modern appliances, a terrific TV and Wi-Fi situation, a beautifully furnished bathroom, and a warm, comfortable bed. The mountain farm setting was rustic and beautiful. Our visit was for snow skiing, but we hope to return in warmer weather to see the local sights.

We had an amazing time I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy it more , it as just the size we needed to house our son’s wedding party (5 groomsmen plus my family,it was nice having everyone together it was a wonderful stay

We absolutely loved staying in this house - it was so cozy and charming, the fireplace kept us warm, it was a quiet location, super clean. The kitchen had everything and more. Lots of extra linens and towels. And we were pleasantly surprised to find a cabinet full of kids toys, books, and games that our little one was so thrilled about. Perfect spot for a family getaway.

The stay was amazing! We saw so many animals! everything was so clean and the place was so cute!!

fantastic place, so peaceful and beautiful. the cabin was well supplied, it was close to plenty of hiking and waterfalls, fishing really any outdoor stuff we wanted. I really hope to come back. one of, if not my favorite airbnbs to date.

We didn’t want to leave! This was a perfect place. Breath taking views from walking the land to observing the starry night sky. Definitely would stay here again!
