Unique Dutch Miller’s House

This is a rare opportunity to stay in a traditional Miller's House located on the same property as an authentic 1632 Dutch Windmill. This beautiful cabin offers privacy, nature and canals on both sides, yet is only 1.5 miles (2.4km) from town and a 40 minute train ride to Amsterdam. This cabin was hand built with love & care and it is a pleasure to share it with guests from all around the world. As the Miller of this windmill, I enjoy giving my guests a complimentary tour whenever possible.

The bus ride to Amsterdam takes 10 minutes. The bus leaves every 5 minutes from the nearest bus stop.

Rural cottage

Get away from it all, enjoy nature on the edge of the IJsselmeer and beach. In the 2700m2 backyard of our farmhouse are two detached tiny houses with a large private garden and private entrance with lots of privacy. The cottage is within walking distance of the historic city of Medemblik and close to Hoorn and Enkhuizen. Amsterdam is 45 minutes away. Various possibilities for water sports. Beach, ports, shops etc. reachable within 5 minutes by car and 25 minutes on foot.

Deck and wheelhouse in Hoorn (parking)

The deck-house and wheelhouse in the back of a former sailing cargo-ship van 1888 is transformed into a small apartment . The rest of the boat is a shop with sailing / marine equipment and a bunker station. The entrance is due to the age of the ship a small steep stair, keep that in mind. The surrounding is a lively harbor with sail-ships and cruise-ships. There is a parking available for €5 - a night very closeby. So enjoy the sound and movements of the water!

In the beautiful West Friesland in Oostwoud, we rent a 4-person vacation home called "Papenveer". This vacation home is located in a small vacation park. It is located on a continuous waterway with beautiful views and privacy. Papenveer is a cozy, spacious cottage with a modern kitchen and fully equipped bathroom and 2 bedrooms. From the love-seat, you can watch the TV or the fireplace (heating) and you have it cozy in the winter, or you can sit outside on the terrace by the water in the summer to daydream, read or play games. Kayak or 2 supboards can be booked. There are also bicycles, which you can borrow for free. The bathroom is 1 step outside the pipo and all for you.
