Holiday rentals with a kayak in Waikato Region

Mark’s AirBnB is an experience rather than a stay. Is a combination of coastal rural Nz right on the doorstep (short boat ride away) from a bustling town Raglan where there are 5 star restaurants, super markets and everything you would need or expect. And the accomodation itself is nestled on a cliff top with 180 views of the harbour and if Raglan. Private, the feeling of seclusion and neighbour free - the best of both worlds made better by a host that balances your needs with respectful distance. Make a pizza in the wood fired oven and then warm your bones in the spa boat and arching the harbour u til the sun melts away listening to birds evening song. We can’t wait to head back and hopefully catch the big uncle of the 12 lb snapper we caught in the raglan harbour!!! Outstanding place.

What a stunning Airbnb! We could have sat on the sofa and stared out of the huge floor to ceiling windows overlooking Lake Taupō all day, and the real open log fire (very generously loads of firewood provided) made evenings extra cosy. It was super clean and tidy, has all the amenities you’d need, and was walkable to a few nice cafés/restaurants and less than a 10 min drive into Taupō itself which is a fantastic town. The outdoor bath is such an incredible treat! The night skies you get are absolutely beautiful, like nothing we’ve ever seen, and sitting in the outdoor tub stargazing was a highlight. Heads up - both beds (we tried both after not being super comfy the first night) are extremely firm which was the only slight down side to our stay but that’s very much preference and many may prefer that.

We had an amazing time at Carols place. The lakefront house is relaxing and peaceful. Will recommend for people looking for a cozy getaway but still close to town and shops.

Our family had a wonderful stay. This home is in a great location with amazing views of the lake. We enjoyed the hot tub and fireplace in the cool evenings and the home felt very private and peaceful. Our host was super helpful and responsive. We could t have asked for more. Thank You!

Danny's place is extremely high quality. It was warm and cozy and the bed was very comfortable. The views are beautiful. Highly recommended.

We had a fantastic Mum's weekend away!! The house and amenities were perfect for what were needed. The spa and sauna were both so awesome and relaxing. Natasha was a great host and the ability to have early check-in and late check-out helped us make the most of our time! The house was lovely and clean with everything we needed. I will be back again, just looking at dates with another group of friends!

My family and I really enjoyed staying at Ricky & Kylie's place. This home was an ideal base to explore Rotorua from, and also to curl up on the couch when the rain was out of hand. We stayed for two nights, and if anything it'd have been nice to book for an extra day or three to thoroughly explore the area and to make use of the kayaks & the other amenities. Definite recommend.

Great family stay for three generations. Local beaches are close by and all amenities you could need are not far by car. Shops for essentials are within easy walking distance. Something to do in all weathers

We chose Rob’s place initially based on the beautiful first photo of the sunrise or sunset. While we did not have a chance to see sunsets there, the sunrises were picture-worthy every day! The view was absolutely remarkable. Rob’s attention to details showed in how he has supplied this AirBnb and his carefully written instructions. The choice of pillows and great water pressure were perfect. Everything was very comfortable, and we felt at home as soon as we arrived. Rotorua made an excellent home base for all of our activities in the central North Island. Our only regret was not staying longer. We hope to return if we visit New Zealand again.

This is the second time we have stayed at the lake house in Lake Tarawera, We couldn't recommend it enough! Such an awesome spot if you have a boat or jetskis , If not they have kayaks you are welcome to use. Playground is about a 3-5 minute walk for the kids, Tennis Court is right at your door step. All the neighbors are very friendly and make you feel right at home. If your thinking about booking don't think about it just book it you will have an amazing time!

House is set amongst pohutukawa trees near the water, very pretty. Amenities were great for our group who were self catering. Lots of room for our group & the heaters keep the house cosy during the cooler evenings.

Our family had a fantastic stay at the Cheeky Tūī. It was perfectly set up for our two young boys who especially enjoyed the box of Duplo and the trampoline. We had an excellent time exploring the nearby lagoon and were lucky enough to spot trout spawning in the steam. Looking forward to our next adventure at Lake Tarawera!

Benny was very lovely and went out of his way to make our stay comfortable, he even went out of his way to get us laundry detergent ☺️

We had 2 nights in the Cottage. It was in a beautiful setting, private and quiet. It was roughly in between Cambridge and Hamilton on a high class road. Jane provided breakfast cereals, porridge and croissants and even gave us a jar of newly made jam and figs to take home. Comfy beds, great heat pump and lovely lookout from the balcony as well as a very friendly host. Thank you Jane.

We had a wonderful weekend stay at Kopu Cottage. Super close to town and close to the beach for surfing. There is a Haki Sack game there that ended up being used most of the weekend. Loved it!

My friend and I chose Gillian’s place because of its location being close to Kawakawa bay boat ramp, but we were BLOWN AWAY. This little cabin is in the most beautiful place, with a stunning farm view. There is a little creek where pukeko would wander, along with cows, magpie, and TURKEY. We had so much fun watching out of the window at the peaceful view. It is just a walk down from the beach, unfortunately we weren’t able to swim because it was too cold (we came in winter), but it was a breathtaking view. The cabin itself has all the amenities listed, and is cozy and beautifully furnished. So much better than either of us were expecting, a perfect getaway. Thank you Gilian and Mal!

We had such a great, relaxing weekend at Christine’s place! Our one regret is we didn’t make use of the kayaks, so I guess we’ll have to come back again. Highly recommend this spot for a weekend in Raglan!

A truly magical hideaway at Kereru Cabin, even with a wet and windy first day. The cabin is cosy and perfectly positioned with stunning views over Enclosure Bay. I swam, hiked, kayaked and even enjoyed a Sunday sauna just a short walk away. The space is beautifully set up for a peaceful solo retreat, with everything you need to unwind. The outdoor shower, BBQ, and thoughtful eco touches made it feel close to nature without compromising comfort. I’ll remember those views for a very long time. A big thank you to Sean and Charlotte – you’ve created something really special. Highly recommend!

looking for peace & to switch off from the pressures of city life for a night or two then this is the place for you, Fantastic scenery, private & the option of 3 different rooms. you can hire all 3 and it would be an awesome get away for family or a group of friends. One of the rooms has its own bathroom and the other two shared facilities which were only a couple of meters away in the stockyard shed.All clean safe and great hot shower too! We had the best sleep ever! It is off the grid but the solar power was more than enough for basic power, lighting,charging devices etc.Cell phone reception is patchy but a few steps up to the barn and you well connected to the world again. (also being semi disconnected added to the charm of the place.) Bring all your own food & drinks + maybe a board game or 2 and really just enjoy the awesome spot without having to venture into town &relax. bonus is the use of a private boat ramp, we had our 2 jetskis and had an amazing time exporting the lake
