I really enjoyed my stay and we are already planning to stay again if we go back to Waco. It was not the least expensive place to stay but I am not disappointed that I spent the money. It was definitely worth the price. The home was beautiful and well kept. Too cold for the pool but the hot tub was amazing. It would be nice if there was a blanket that was kinda thin- medium though. All of the beds had big comforters on them which I loved but it did get a bit hot for me. I can’t wait for my next trip to Texas!

The house is so beautiful and a perfect getaway from the city life. The house is very authentic and has so much of history and culture in it. Absolutely loved the place and the backyard too! Would definitely visit again.

We had a great stay at the Farmhouse. The bird song in the morning was so refreshing. Had a nice time sitting out in the back porch drinking coffee. Would recommend for a nice quiet getaway.

This home was perfect for our girls weekend in Waco! I loved the location being so walkable to downtown and the Silos. The home was spacious for 2 and a pup (I think it'd be nice for 4 people also). I appreciated how responsive Alicia was!

We enjoyed our stay in Waco! We were in town for a family weekend get together and enjoyed our time. The house was spacious and secluded, but close enough to all the Waco attractions!

Walking through the door you are simultaneously struck with the beauty of the house and a feeling of home. From the amazing kitchen through each relaxing bedroom to the balcony and porches, this house is a perfect space. If you just need a place to sleep, it works, too, but it is truly so much more. We enjoyed our stay immensely.

The Mavie House was a perfect spot for a Sister's Retreat! The four bedrooms were all cutely decorated and neat, with beautiful white crisp bedding. The bathrooms were very clean, as was the kitchen. We enjoyed that it was a very short drive to anything we wanted to see (Magnolia Market, downtown, restaurants). We loved the wide variety of games in the living room too! The front porch is enjoyable to sit on in the mornings. We didn't visit the back, but the birds seem to love it back there! We would highly recommend the Mavie House as it was a pleasant stay! Just a heads up: the driveway does have a huge block of cement or something that could scrape your vehicle. I drove very slowly over it and would attempt to maneuver around, but I had a large SUV. This did not takeaway from our stay.

The kitchen was perfect for Thanksgiving dinner. Double ovens, large island made cooking and serving easy! Lovely fall decor, plus a Christmas tree, in the living areas. Beds and sheets so comfy, massage chair was enjoyed by several. Easy parking, great location for us (near family). Large fenced back yard was more than needed for our 2 small dogs. I expect we’ll be staying here again!

We enjoyed our stay! It was centrally located for us to our kiddos. Had plenty of room for us to throw some burgers on the grill and enjoy some family time together! Will definitely be back! House was very clean and well stocked. Would definitely recommend it!

We stayed at Home Away from Home to visit family and the house was very comfortable. Joe was very friendly and we really enjoyed getting to meet him, he made sure we knew he was available for anything we needed and checked in throughout our stay. We would recommend this house to anyone going to the Gatesville area and will gladly stay there again on our next visit.

I reserved Hayley’s home for my wife’s surprise birthday party with just a few friends, and it was perfect. There’s so much to do in her home, and we brought our own records and food to make this place feel like home. We made some amazing memories here, and had so much fun. Her home is beautiful, and she was a wonderful host!

Beautiful home, great location and very peaceful. Definitely recommend if you want to get away to somewhere cozy and quiet but still near lots of things to do.

I had 6 sisters fly in and it fit out needs perfectly. The cabana was cute, however getting the heat regulated (not well insulated) was problematic. It warmed up when the temp outside got over 70. Pretty pricey for Waco and an off weekend plus fees for everything but that's the nature of this site, I guess. Had a plumbing event during our stay. Took over an hour to get someone out but he was pleasant and efficient. Emailed the hosts after checkout with items they may want to address and have not received a reply. Overall great place to stay and would stay again.
