Cottage holiday rentals in Virginia

It was a beautiful home in a beautiful location. The fire pit and hot tub were great places to relax in the evening time after visiting some local breweries and hiking. Ashley was extremely responsive as well. Will definitely be making another trip back!

Mary was very responsive, friendly, and gave helpful recommendations. The house was very clean and quaint, had everything we needed, and was very cozy. Enjoyed our stay!

Our stay in this home was such a treat! We enjoyed utilizing the kayaks to boat around in Chesapeake Bay. The hot tub was an absolute delight, perfect for evening stargazing, saw lots of shooting stars, and could see the water of the bay from the hot tub. We also enjoyed doing November cold plunges from the hot tub to the pool. While the living room is not expansive, it fit our needs for family game & movie nights. The bed linens were so comfortable, and Lori was beautifully responsive & friendly when we would reach out with a question. We also enjoyed the nearby Sandy beaches.

Although located on a winery that is open to the public, the cottage is spaced for privacy. We enjoyed the cottage so much. Beautiful and quaint property. Well furnished and extremely clean and comfortable. Perfect getaway spot for 2 with a great hot tub. The pool looks awesome as well but was not available during our stay as it was winter. Andrea communicated very clearly and is prompt when you message her. The location was great for our trip to Leesburg and Berryville. Definitely recommend this property.

Excellent Communication - Beautiful Home - Perfect Location !! OLIVIA SAVED THE DAY !!!!!!!!!! Initially I had another air bnb location booked. When we arrived the location was nothing like the pictures. Where we expected lush green views what we saw was overall very desolate and "spooky". I canceled and immediately started searching for another place. This trip was a birthday celebration for my wife and I really wanted to get everything right ! Olivia responded fast and allowed us to check in same day with only an hours notice. We were pleasantly surprised by how aesthetically intriguing the house was , the color palette's she chose throughout the house are MARVELOUS ! The jacuzzi worked 100% as well as all of the other appliances. You can really see that care and attention to detail where put into this home , which ultimately made us feel at home ! I'd 100% book again with Olivia . We have already started planning our next trip to our getaway at the Vibrant Cottage !

This house is very peaceful and serene and a great escape from DC! The amenities are great and the setup of the house is very cute and charming. It was the perfect place for a girls’ trip and we had a great time.

If you think the views are amazing in the photos, wait until you check in, it's breathtaking! the cottage was beautiful, very clean and the kitchen had all the cookware we needed to make some basic meals while we stayed in and enjoyed a peaceful retreat. The record player and sound system were a nice bonus. I would recommend a vehicle with all wheel drive, the last 1/2 mile or so is rocky, bumpy and, as you can imagine, at an incline. The view at the top is worth it! The hot tub was also very clean, again, with a spectacular view for relaxing and recharging. Curtis was quick to respond when we had a question. Highly recommend Sunrise Cottage for a relaxing retreat.

Everything was wonderful, easy to get in, and our host John was very helpful and friendly. Hotub was clean no trash in the yards felt just like home. comfortable beds the walkway to the beach was very private enjoyed that as well. Overall our stay was amazing and would love to be able to stay there again. We had so much fun <3 provided us with some detergent to wash clothes I thought that was thoughtful.

One of the best Airbnbs my family and I have ever stayed in. A beautifully-renovated historic home, that still keeps its charm with updated amenities. The home is located in a very peaceful, remote location. We enjoyed riding bikes and walking on the trail. Would love to visit again in the future.

Absolutely Wonderful Hosts And A Beautiful Spot To Stay

Hands down one of the coziest Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in. It was even cuter in person than the photos! The cottage is in what seems to be a rapidly developing part of Waynesboro that will soon have many walkable places to go. Even now, the location cannot be beat since it’s a super short drive to everything in the area. The Airbnb is exactly as described with all of the amenities, including a ton of dog stuff and a very comfortable couch. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Only stayed one night as we were passing through. Yard was great for our dogs! Hosts were friendly and responsive. Exactly as listed. I would stay here again and recommend to others!

We loved our stay here! It was such a cute and cozy place and we’re already talking about trying to come back for the summer! It’s a fairly short walk to the beach and only a short distance from shops and restaurants. Our furbaby loved the fenced in yard and was even given some treats in a welcome basket, which was so thoughtful. Would definitely recommend staying here!!

Perfect Stay! (Oddly, I’m the second “Penelope from Arlington, Va.” who has stayed in and absolute loved this gem in Charlottesville, but this was our first time!) We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this charming cottage. Check-in was a breeze, and from the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The quirky, eclectic decor added so much character to the space, making it feel warm and inviting, but so much fun! The location was also unbeatable—just minutes from UVA, walking distance to Scott Stadium, and all the places we needed to be. For dog lovers, this place is truly a paradise—the fully fenced-in yard was a huge bonus, giving our pups the freedom to roam safely. It’s rare to find a rental that’s so thoughtfully designed with people and dogs in mind, and yet so clean. We really appreciated every detail. Can’t wait to come back! Thanks, Eli!

we had a stress free get away. grocery store was super close, Cape Charles was so peaceful, walked the beach, shopping on the main street was a great way to spend the day, stopped in the coffee shop. we had a wonderful stay, and very grateful they allowed our wonderful dogs. dogs loved to explore the field behind the house.

This is our second stay at Amy’s place. Accommodations are very nice and comfortable. Love the privacy and being able to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Very close to many hiking areas. Looking forward to staying at Amy’s place again.

Food Lion 7-8 minutes. Coffee shop 9 minutes at the Four Corners Shopping center. Off street parking? Gravel driveway into property. Security? A security light is on a pole. Laundry room with full size washer & dryer next to 50 gal water tank. 63 hangers in 3 closets, 23 drawers in the rooms. Convenient outlets for recharging iPhones. Tub & shower w/ wand. Sliding opaque glass door glides easily. Bath has outlet & small table with/drawer that keeps toiletries together. 9 extra thick fluffy towels + beach towels, three 28 oz. Shampoos. 16.5 cu ft reefer with cubed/crushed ice in door, 9 cu ft freezer with ice maker, microwave, Keurig pods + drip coffee, condiments, blender, toaster, spatulas, multiple channels and streaming options, books cleaning gear, laundry basket, iron, folding drying rack...

Mr Coniston was quick to respond in our time of need. It was close enough to where we needed to be but quiet and private for the rest we needed. Wish we had more time and it hadn’t snowed so we could check out the hiking trail literally behind the rental. Would stay again when in the area. Gorgeous scenery all around.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the lovely Nautical cottage. We were very comfortable and had all the conveniences of home. We especially liked the clean swimming pool and access to a grill. We are likely to book again in the future!

Celeste was an amazing host! We had a bad experience at a hotel in town and Celeste welcomed us last minute into her home. We were so grateful, but better yet, the home was unbelievably charming! It was the perfect place for our little girls trip. The yard and views were just beautiful and we hope to be back someday! The home was clean, private, peaceful and we had everything we needed. My husband needed a place to stay while working nearby. The location was convenient to groceries and to the job site. Jerry was super helpful with our uncertain situation and timeline and we appreciated his flexibility. He was timely with communication—and the space was small, but sufficient for our use.

Danville has become extremely expensive now (because of the casino?). I feel the prices have become quite inflated. Other than that, Misty’s place was clean and quiet and well equipped! We enjoyed it very much..
