Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Vaxholm Municipality

We just returned after a fantastic week in Fredrik's house on Storholmen, Stockholm. It is a real home with a wonderfully welcoming and personal atmosphere. Lots of books and games and maps and nice places to sit in the sun or shade playing board games and read - both inside and outside. We swam and rowed in Fredrik's boats and ran round the island clockwise and anti-clockwise. A truly memorable and special place. My warmest recommendations!! Claus DK

Our family had a wonderful one-week stay at Daniel and Malin’s house - the perfect home with the perfect hosts. The house and property are stunning - just as beautiful as in the photos. Everything inside the house was very well-appointed and in great shape - comfortable and clean bedrooms, great kitchen, lovely bathrooms, great electronics (WiFi, smart tv, Sonos home audio). The terrace and outside areas were great and we had numerous meals and family gatherings outside. The area is so tranquil and beautiful, with the stunningly beautiful lake only an eight minute walk away. We even spotted deers in the garden in the evening. Daniel was the perfect host - very helpful and responsive, and very generous in sharing everything their home had to offer, including their son’s toys and books, which my four year old son just loved. We’re already planning another stay here next summer, and cannot recommend this home and host highly enough!

We have stayed in about 30 AirBnBs but this was our favorite. The rooms caught the morning sunshine through to the evening sunset, everything was so spacious and comfortable. The location was blissful, yet within an easy drive of Vaxholm and Stockholm. Supermarket close by. We all felt so relaxed.

A unique home located in beautiful surroundings. The house is stylish, spacious, clean and well appointed as per the listing. Nice touches like toiletries make it homely. We did not use the pool as found the water a bit cold for our taste. It was perfect for our family of 5 with older kids. The steep stairs may however be an issue for toddlers or people with reduced mobility. The self check in was a dream and Kim is very responsive and attentive, totaly deserves the 'superhost' label. We would happily come back again! In terms of location, the neighbourhood is very calm and safe and you feel like you are in the real Sweden as there are no tourists. The supermarket and local shops and cafes are a 10 min stroll away. The access to the centre of Stockholm is straightforward via bus and underground within about 30 mins door to door, depending on the time of the day. We went there every day and used the SL Stockholm transport app to buy group tickets.

Had a wonderful family time in this beautiful home! Excellent acommodations and the location is perfect for a holiday in the Skärgården!

Apartment as described and matched the pictures. Kitchen was well stocked for its size. Coffee included! Convenient Gamla Stan location - easy to walk across the river and on a quieter Gamla Stan street. Very close to palace. A nice bakery restaurant is at the end of the street by the water. Obviously keep in mind that it’s an old building as it lists, full of charm. Depending on your family’s preferences, do note that the bathroom is quite snug. Our children also slept on the couch in the living room but they did find the house was a bit creaky when our family member sleeping downstairs would need to use the spiral staircase near the couch to reach the bathroom at night. FYI, if you’re planning on sleeping on the couch but you’re a light sleeper. If you have mobility issues, this probably isn’t the right stay for you. Overall good stay and everything was as expected for a Gamla Stan apartment.

Not only is Amalia’s flat a stunning and peaceful place to stay while visiting Stockholm, but she is an extremely helpful and responsive host who made our stay easy and enjoyable! Cannot recommend enough.

this is a lovely apartment in a hip district of Stockholm with lots of good coffee, shops and restaurants. The bed and pillows are comfortable and the kitchen has everything you would need. It’s nice because it also has an elevator.

Thomas’s family home is beautiful. We felt like we had a home in the heart of Gamla Stan (old town), Stockholm for the few days we were there. It’s such a beautiful space to relax after long walks around the picturesque cobbled streets and sampling food from the many delicious restaurants. Thanks for having us!

Had a wonderful stay in Gamla Stan! Bella was a great host and worked with our schedule to make check in and check out easy. The location can’t be beat. This was our first visit to Stockholm and we loved every minute. Would absolutely stay here again.

Staying in Pär's apartment in Stockholm was a very positive experience. We were welcomed by the lower house, who gave us a tour and helped with questions. The apartment was much bigger than we thought, and really cozy. Everything was nice and clean. We were well taken care of with linens, clean towels, tourist brochures, and a bottle of bubbles in the fridge. We felt very welcome! The apartment is very central and within walking distance to the city center. There was peace and quiet on the street. Restaurant Lille Capri on the ground floor was a lovely place where we ate 3 times. Here we got great service! Everything in the apartment was in the best order, and Pär was quick to respond if we had any questions along the way. Thank you so much Pär for hosting - we would highly recommend this home to others.

Wow…did not realize when we booked Elisabeth’s apartment we would be totally surrounded by Old Stockholm’s history. What a wonderful place to stay when visiting Stockholm. We walked the entire city during our visit. We will be back!

This apartment makes you feel like you are home away from home. It feels lived in unlike some other apartments that can feel quite sterile and cold. It spacious enough for everyone to feel like they have their own bit of the apartment. Very convenient in terms of location with a subway stop near by but also lots to do within the neighborhood itself. Perfect for a couple or a small family.

I had the pleasure of staying in this wonderful apartment and I can only report positives! The apartment is tastefully decorated and offers everything you need for a relaxing stay. The location is just perfect and quiet, so you can easily explore the surroundings. The amenities were excellent: a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and a modern bathroom. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. They provided us with great tips for sights which made our stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this apartment and look forward to my next visit!

Had a great time with kids playing in pool

We had such a great week in Johan’s house and were particularly grateful for the helpful suggestions about the locale which really helped us get the most out of our stay. It really is an idyllic setting with gorgeous swimming spots nearby and great running routes from the doorstep. The house is very comfortable and Johan was a super kind and helpful host. We were travelling without a car and it’s very easy to zip about from the house via Sweden’s fantastic and unbelievably cheap public transport- bus & train to Stockholm centre, ferries to the beautiful archipelago, safe and easy cycling everywhere. Our teenagers enjoyed exploring the new and very cool ‘Gasworks’ area around Ropsten. 100% recommend!

Wonderful place, we had an amazing holiday. Really close to central Stockholm but totally away from it at the same time. Amazing variety of water sports included. Perfect sunsets, wake up to an amazing view. Couldn’t recommend it more

It was perfect for us! We were 3 adults with 2 children. The house is large and cozy, plus a nice garden for the kids to play in. The jetty is about 300 m behind the house, it is about 15 minutes walk to the large beach, bus stops to Stockholm or to the center of Vaxholm (3 stations) or to the large ferry terminal are also only about 300 m away. The ferries 83 which are included in the Sl card only run 3 in the morning and 3 in the evening or afternoon, for the other ferries which run all day you have to pay extra, but the ferry rides are fantastically beautiful. Otherwise, simply take the bus/metro to Stockholm. The landlord was always reachable and straightforward, and a later checkout was also no problem. Perfect place for a mix of Stockholm city and Vaxholm !!!

Our stay was great, really great. The house is well equipped, with good rooms, very clean and the host responded quickly when we needed. In addition, they left the house all decorated in a Christmas atmosphere and it was wonderful to have spent Christmas there.
